SUMMARY:Akechi Kanna & Kagura Semenawa and Predicament Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:  \nFor Akechi Kanna aesthetics and patterns are what come after deeply connecting to your partner and giving them sweet consensual torment\, delicious suffering\, and sweet relief. In Kanna’s school of rope / Kanna-ryu every rope\, every placement\, every tension and action should have an intention that the person tying is controlling. \nIn this weekend intensive workshop\, you will learn rope for playing and interacting with your partner in the modes of seme (“torture” rope)\, predicament\, and rope for kink play as well as “supporture” (seme rope with extra care to make it supportive for all bodies and abilities). Kanna and Kagura will show you how to tie and control your sessions in multi-faceted ways depending on your intention. They will also teach you techniques\, tricks\, and ways of thinking about tormenting your partner by managing the placement\, lines\, tension\, timing\, direction\, distribution of the weight\, gravity\, body structure\, and limitations. \nThis workshop supports and encourages your understanding of the structure of the body and your partner’s abilities\, states\, and preferences\, reading the tension and your partner’s face and body language\, predicting what will happen with your ropes and your partner’s physical feelings in them\, as well as putting your own preferences into efficient and meaningful ties. \n  \nIn Kanna & Kagura’s own words: \nWhether it’s the first time to meet you\, or it’s been a while\, or you’ve met us online but never in person\, no matter what level you are\, we really couldn’t wait to enjoy the ropes in the same space with you all! We’ve always been hoping to be committed to providing safe\, respectful\, equitable\, and enjoyable learning environments for queer or gender diverse students while supporting their development and interaction with their partner. So we are super excited to share these with you! \nIf you’ve taken a workshop in the past or an online class\, you’ve learned the basics and you are probably familiar with Kanna-ryu! Some of the content may overlap\, but this series would be instructive for upgrading your skills or polishing off your knowledge!! In-person workshop classes\, we’re offering skills development training workshops [*not professional teacher training workshop]\, with direct instruction such as checking\, correcting\, and suggesting to each person. \nOur education plan puts students focusing on lifelong learning (the long-term benefits for sustainable rope activities) first\, along with exploring a variety of approaches and methods or diverse possibilities\, while prioritizing developing step-by-step skills\, creativity\, knowledge\, and experience\, rather than pushing new patterns practice as many as possible. \nThe content and instruction of the class will be tailored on a case-by-case basis\, based on the level of the class\, the student’s progress and speed\, reflecting the student’s interests and demands\, and/or the partner’s fatigue\, as well as what is needed and what is good to know. In multi-level classes\, the class may have a division in the middle sometimes flexibly depending on the student’s choice: skill practice\, reteach or mini-lesson\, and play with partners. \nPlease don’t compare yourself to other students. There are no rankings\, no comparisons\, or competition between students or schools in Shibari and workshops. Shibari is available for every body of all ages\, genders\, and abilities. Differences that vary from person to person could be valued as individual characteristics\, and grow creativity with special needs. Our doing rope activities Shibari or Kinbaku is interpersonal communication even in group learning. SUMMARY:The Elements of “Seme” VI: 恐れ Osore (Fear)
DESCRIPTION:“Seme” is much more than simply giving pain or creating predicaments as it is often translated and described to Western students of Shibari.\nIt is also not a style\, technique\, or excuse to hurt someone through roughness or carelessness. \nOn the contrary\, seme is applied deliberately\, carefully\, precisely\, sometimes boldly\, and always on purpose. Seme is about playing with limits and boundaries while never breaking them. In short\, Seme is a delicate and complex way of playing in ropes. \nIn this series\, Kanna & Kagura will deep dive into the general categories of Seme\, along with their concepts\, essential characteristics\, how to choose the suitable Shibari\, and how to play with all of these elements. \nThis series is not a set series about any particular Shibari patterns\, but rather allows students to practice with no matter what style/school of Kinbaku you like and choose.\nSo this will encourage you to pay closer attention to your desires and heart\, and make you dive more deeply into kink as a practice and pain as a sensation! \nThis Seme series will consist of 6 classes of 6 different Seme types in total: \nⅠ:痛みItami(Pain)\nⅡ:苦しみKurushimi(Suffering)\nⅢ:辱めHazukashime(Humiliation)\nⅣ:冷熱Reinetsu(Cold&Heat)\nⅤ: 快楽Kairaku(Pleasure)\nⅥ:恐れOsore(Fear) \n  \nThis event is for a single class. SUMMARY:Semenawa/Kink Play/Predicament/Supporture Fun\, Kanna Style! Weekend Intensive
DESCRIPTION:  \nFor Nawashi Kanna aesthetics and patterns are what comes after deeply connecting to your partner and giving them sweet consensual torment\, delicious suffering and sweet relief. In Kanna’s school of rope / Kanna-ryu every rope\, every placement\, every tension and action should have an intention that the person tying is controlling. \nIn this weekend intensive workshop\, you will learn rope for playing and interacting with your partner in the modes of seme (“torture” rope)\, predicamtent\, rope for kink play and “supporture” (seme rope with extra care to make it supportive for all bodies and abilities). Kanna and Kagura will show you how to tie and control your sessions in multi-faceted ways depending on your intention. They will also teach you techniques\, tricks\, and ways of thinking about tormenting your partner by managing the placement\, lines\, tension \, timing\, direction\, distribution of the weight\, gravity\, body structure and limitations. \nThis workshop supports and encourages your understanding of the structure of the body and your partner’s abilities\, states and preferences\, reading the tension and your partner’s face and body language\, predicting what will happen with your ropes and your partner’s physical feelings in them\, as well as putting your own preferences into efficient and meaningful ties. \n  \n  \nIn Kanna & Kagura’s own words: \nWhether it’s the first time to meet you\, or it’s been a while\, or you’ve met us online but never in person\, no matter what level you are\, we really couldn’t wait to enjoy the ropes in the same space with you all! People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender\, heterosexual womên. \nThe word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the “x” in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined. \nIf you are not part of the LGBTQIA+ you are not eligible to purchase a ticket. \nIf you consider yourself a Friend\, you may put yourself on the waiting list for any leftover spaces. If you wish to do so\, please email us at info@karada-house.de with your rope name\, profile (FL\, insta etc.) if you have one and intention as to why you would like to participate. \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgment to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. We request that we all pro-actively work and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people. \n  \nPayment Plans \nWe offer the possibility to pay in instalments for this weekend intensive. If you are interested in a payment plan\, please fill out this form. We will get back to you asap. \n  \nScholarship \nWe are offering one scholarship (100% reduction of the workshop fee) to one pair of rope practitioners. In order to be eligible\, both of you must be part of the LGBTQIA+ community. If you would like to apply for the scholarship\, please send an email to info@karada-house.de with your rope name\, profile (insta\, FL etc.) if you have one\, and your intention for participating in this workshop. SUMMARY:Fundamentals of Kanna Style Weekend Intensive
DESCRIPTION:  \nFor Nawashi Kanna aesthetics and patterns are what comes after deeply connecting to your partner and giving them sweet consensual torment\, delicious suffering\, and sweet relief. In Kanna’s school of rope / Kanna-ryu every rope\, every placement\, every tension\, and action should have an intention that the person tying is controlling. \nIn this weekend intensive workshop\, you will learn the fundamental principles\, the patterns\, and the reasoning and intention behind Kanna’s style of tying. Kanna and Kagura will also suggest and show ways to play with the patterns and demonstrate their application within a session\, as well as show variations\, and explain the underlying theory and historical culture behind them. SUMMARY:Rope Practices for Every Body Part 6: Asymmetry for Different Physical Limitations
DESCRIPTION:This workshop/research lab series by Kanna & Kagura aims to work towards diversifying Kinbaku/Shibari/rope and making it more accessible to all bodies\, sizes\, shapes\, ethnicities\, ages\, and genders in a positive\, empowering way. \nEnjoy challenging rope practices in a healthy and comfortable way that caters to the needs of your body and your heart. ♬︎♡ \nThis new series is based on your requests! It is not a pre-designed workshop/class where there is a base pattern and the main focus is on teaching it\, and then checking\, correcting\, and suggesting to each person\, to find the correct answer that already exists. \nThis series is a laboratory in which you will experience the process and thinking that goes into an answer that you pose. Together with Kanna  & Kagura\, you will explore a way to find an answer to your specific question and/or needs. \nNote: We will work mostly with common knowledge and not highly advanced techniques that require the prior acquisition of skills and knowledge. We will not require special equipment or furniture that is not available to everyone everywhere in order to keep the lab accessible for everyone. Furthermore\, the current situation of Covid-19 in Japan makes it unsafe and flat out impossible to work with different models of various body types and genders as it is too dangerous. We apologize. Whereas we cannot provide the representation we wished to provide for safety reasons\, we nevertheless wish to share our vast knowledge and we also have various ways to improvise and demonstrate. \nThis event is for a single class. If you’d like to purchase the entire series for a reduced price\, please click here. \n  \n❤ Part 6: “Asymmetry for Different Physical Limitations” (July 3rd\, 2021\, 2 pm CET) \nIn general\, the main patterns of Kinbaku are symmetrical shibari\, but you can also enjoy asymmetrical shibari even if your partner has shoulder pain\, lack of flexibility\, shoulder/arm muscles tightness\, or left-right differences! Together we’ll adjust ties to different physical handicaps. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  July 3rd\, 2021 2 pm – 4 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: research lab & discussion (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: Japanese\, simultaneous translation into English will be provided \nMinimum Knowledge Level: intermediate \nWhat to Bring:  if you want to tie along you need ropes\, safety gear\, space\, a partner\, a hard point \nSolo or Partnered:  both (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes\, participants will not be recorded. The recordings will be made available for 14 days after the last live session (ending on July 17th\, 2021). \n  \nWhat else to know \n  \nAfter your successful ticket purchase\, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. \nIf you cannot afford this event\, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices. SUMMARY:Rope Practices for Every Body Part 2: Restriction with Bamboo
If you’d like to purchase the entire series for a reduced price\, please click here. \n  \n❤ Part 2: Restriction with bamboo (May 29th\, 2021\, 2 pm CET) \nIn this lab\, we will NOT use bamboo as a hard point/suspension point (like parallel bamboo\, vertically suspended floating bamboo)\, but we will bind the body to the bamboo. \nIf possible\, please prepare a THIN bamboo. If you don’t have bamboo\, you can use a curtain pole\, a wooden stick\, or a mop handle. \n  \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  May 29th 2021 2 pm – 4 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: research lab & discussion (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: Japanese\, simultaneous translation into English will be provided \nMinimum Knowledge Level: intermediate \nWhat to Bring:  if you want to tie along you need ropes\, safety gear\, space\, a partner\, a hard point \nSolo or Partnered:  both (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes\, participants will not be recorded.
