DESCRIPTION:Being ‘trauma informed’ has become a buzzword in rope (and kink) spaces but many of us still feel unclear about what it actually means\, especially in rope. This session invites space to explore your own reactions\, patterns\, and think about this topic in practice.\nWe will approach being ‘trauma informed’ not as a moral obligation or clinical practice but a way of meeting ourselves with more curiosity and honesty\, to hold some of the murky complexities.\n\nWhat we will think about\n\n\n\nWhat the pillars of being “trauma-informed” can realistically mean/ or be applied in a kink context\n\n\nStress responses vs. trauma responses? –  and how these might show up for tops and bottoms during play\n\n\nWhat responsibility we actually have to ourselves and to each other and where our limits and non responsibilities lie\n\n\nHow to navigate the erotic\, the sadistic\, desire\, risk\, and intensity in a ‘trauma informed’ way without sterilising or sanitising our play\n\n\nWhat do we think about making play “safe” or “healing through kink”?  How to frame potentially therapeutic experiences without making promises or stepping into roles we shouldn’t
