Each month explores a new topic — from shame and semenawa to performance\, advanced movement\, or creating chaotic harnesses. This is our space for exploring the more expressive\, playful\, connective\, and artistic sides of shibari. Open to all levels with foundational knowledge. Bring your curiosity\, your questions\, and your rope. \nThis month we are focusing on: Pain \nCeci will guide you in incorporating pain into your tying. We will discuss different qualities of pain and the emotional responses from empowered to fragile. You will learn how to use positions\, internal pain\, and external stimulus to create intensity. We will also research how ropes affect pain processing and safety considerations on the topic. In the end\, you will explore your favorite techniques on the floor or in the air. \nPlay & Connection\nThese classes are dedicated to the research of the interpersonal\, connective\, and fun side of shibari. Forget about rope technique for a while and learn hands-on skills for actually playing with what you know. The topic varies from month to month\, and can be anything from pain and predicament ties to fun games like rope fight club. Come learn the skills that take your sessions from good to fantastic!
