SUMMARY:Relating Beyond the Binary
DESCRIPTION:Let’s move beyond binary notions of relationships\, love\, companionship and friendship. As humans\, we have vast and untapped possibilities for connection. What’s the meaning of ‘beyond the binary’ – friendships\, chosen family or relationship structures outside conventional norms. There isn’t just one way to relate; of course\, we all have our preferences\, but what might be blocking us from embracing greater diversity in our relational dynamics? \nCaritia invites participants to explore the relationships they already have\, the ones that feel absent\, and the possibilities that might exist beyond their current relational worlds. Together\, we’ll consider the key elements of intimate relating that extend beyond normative boundaries and values\, opening up space to imagine and explore different ways of connecting. \nWhat to Expect\nA curious and open exploration of the ways we relate to one another\, including the assumptions and expectations that shape our relationships. Through reflection and shared exploration\, we’ll look at the connections already present in our lives\, the ones we long for and the possibilities we may not have considered. Expect space to question familiar relationship models\, identify what matters to you in intimate connection and imagine what relating beyond the norm could look like. \nWho Is This For?\nFor anyone curious about relationships beyond conventional expectations of romance\, friendship\, companionship and intimacy. Whether you’re questioning familiar relationship structures\, exploring alternative ways of connecting or simply interested in expanding your understanding of human relationships\, this workshop offers an invitation to reflect\, imagine and discover. You don’t need to have everything figured out; curiosity and a willingness to explore are enough.
