SUMMARY:Low Bamboo - Chaotic Yet Reassuring
DESCRIPTION:Suspension can sometimes feel intimidating: the body is lifted away from the ground\, each harness must be built before lifting\, suspension lines need to be managed\, along with the potential discomfort of the person being tied and the stress that can arise while tying. In this workshop\, Juliette and Olive invite you to explore suspension close to the ground by lowering the bamboo\, within a comfortable\, creative and collaborative approach. The idea is to engage with suspension in a more playful rather than performative way\, by rethinking single column ties and suspension lines as part of a “system” that supports the body\, rather than a series of separate harnesses. \nThis workshop will also be an opportunity for Juliette to share the mnemonic tools she uses when tying in a more chaotic way\, allowing her to always adjust or untie quickly and safely. She will also share various tips and tricks to tie efficiently and comfortably\, to play\, and to feel creative while maintaining safety. \n
