SUMMARY:Careful Bullying: Deliberate Disruption
DESCRIPTION:Our clothing choices are strongly tied to our identity\, autonomy\, and comfort. In this guided lab we set aside propriety to deliberately destabilize our sense of security\, using tactics of destruction\, desecration\, and straight up meanness. Yielding to a desire for playful victimization—a willing captive to be toyed with–we invite inner sadists to delight in inflicting discomfort. Leaning into pestering as play\, we explore ways to put ourselves off balance by getting under each other’s skin. \nThis is a play-based exploration: we will not be focused on reproducing specific patterns. Efficiently and sustainably tying up your partner will leave you more time to explore. We will be playing with gestures that echo non-consensual circumstances\, and thus are at the margin of what is allowed. This exploration is grounded in care and attentiveness\, building a sense of security that allows us to explore the shadows of desire and imagination together. \nPhoto: @tiedtov
