DESCRIPTION:Look with your hands\, not with your eyes: press\, gauge\, weigh\, assess. There is a quiet predation in touch—it claims\, it tests\, it consumes. What happens when touch becomes exploratory\, repetitive\, even a little selfish? In this facilitated exploration\, we approach the body as something to handle\, to probe\, to play with—meat to be tenderized\, shaped\, and understood through sensation as much as sight. Touch invites curiosity and provokes appetites. Decoupling the flesh from the human who occupies it\, we can put down identities and relationships in order to investigate our carnal craving to consume and be consumed. This is a play-based exploration: we will not be focused on reproducing specific patterns. \n
