SUMMARY:Karada House Queer Summer Party
DESCRIPTION:Our “new” space is already turning three (!!) so we’re having a queer little summer party about it. \nCome hang out\, dance\, play games\, eat daddy Antje’s sausages\, lie in a cuddle puddle\, make new friends\, avoid eye contact with the new friends\, and generally exist together in a nice way. It’s a sober space\, but still very much a party. \nThis is for LGBTQIA+ folks – extroverts\, introverts\, socially anxious cuties\, people who say “I’ll only stay for one hour” and then don’t leave. You can be in the middle of everything or tucked away somewhere cozy. Both are correct. \nThere’s no pressure to do anything in particular — just drift between things and see what feels good. \nWe’ll also have a clothing swap\, so bring stuff you don’t wear anymore and maybe leave as a slightly different person. There will be a crafts and games room\, so bring your summer crochets and art projects to work on in company. \nLogistics stuff:\n\nsober event\nLGBTQIA+ only\ndrop in whenever\, but get a ticket beforehand\nnot a play space\n\nSpaces:\n\nkitchen + mezzanine: snacks\, alcohol-free drinks for sale\, soft socializing\nmain room: dancing\, social games\, performances\, a cuddle area (!!)\ncorner room: crafty queers + board games + gentle\, quiet(er) vibes\ngarden (if weather behaves): BBQ\, clothing swap\, lying on the grass\n(if not\, we simply bring “outside energy” inside)\n\nThings that might happen (schedule TBA)\n\nnon-alcoholic drinks and a daddy-esque barbeque\nsocial games (low-stakes\, no humiliation)\nfacilitated dance party\ncommunity tarot reading\nscheduled & pop-up performances\ncuddles\, socializing\, crafts\, games\nkaraoke\n\nCome as you are\, stay as long as you want\, leave when your social battery says “ok babe that’s enough” \nContact us if you want to volunteer! info@karada-house.de
