DESCRIPTION:We can’t not communicate. But what does it mean to communicate? What do we communicate? What do we hide? And how does all of this work when we tie with each other. Communicating in ropes is not a soft skill but is inherently integrated in the practice itself. The question remains: How can we make that communication more deliberate and intentional? In this class we will connect the rope techniques\, from simple hitches and frictions to complex suspensions\, with what they can communicate and how. \nNovember 11th\, 7-10pm CET:Part I:\nWhat is communication and how can we understand it in the context of Shibari? “Talking” and “Listening” in ropes and on ropes. \nNovember 18th\, 7-10pm CET:Part II:\nPart II: The problem of interpretation. Will we ever know what you meant when twitching your toes? \nNovember 25th\, 7-10pm CET:Part III:\nPart III: Storytelling and scene building with intentional communication.
