SUMMARY:Kink and Trauma
DESCRIPTION:  \nTrauma and kink are deeply embedded in each other. \nAll kinds of power dynamics we play with either reflect oppression and violence or turn them around to subvert what we have to live with. This is where transformation begins. \nThis workshop is about creating enough safety within our group so we can actually negotiate trauma-related scenarios and play. \nTo get there\, we will discuss and practice nervous system regulation\, what attachment wounds have to do with the way we relate\, and how important it is to place our kinky endeavors within communities of care and our movements for change. \nMost of us know about the trauma responses of flight\, fight\, and freeze. During our weekend together trauma response fawning/appeasement will have a special place in our explorations. Can service topping be part of a fawning response? Is getting out of submission that is about appeasement liberating – and what does submission look like after that shift? \nAnother focus will be on conflict and fuck ups. These are inevitable when we are brave and go to difficult places. Let’s take some time to explore and be playful around this topic! \nVulnerability\, respect\, and gentle ways of relating with each other instead of Berlin coolness and showing off! \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  March 2-3th\,  2024\, 11 am-6 pm \nFormat: workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English / German translation \nMinimum Knowledge Level: you have knowledge about your kinks and some knowledge about your specific triggers and trauma \nWhat to Bring:  Bring an object that soothes you or calms you down\, like a blanket or cuddly toy or a stone\n \nSolo or Partnered:  All constellations welcome (Limited to 10 participants) \nPrice: 120 Euros per person \n  \nSafety Concept & Regulation \nPlease consult our safety concept and regulations for this event here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English.. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. The garden is only partially accessible at the moment. During the workshop\, we will sit on the floor. Sitting in a chair can also be provided. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand. \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, agender. \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgement to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. We request that we all pro-actively work and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Resilient Space Holding
DESCRIPTION:This workshop series is for people who hold sex-positive spaces and wish to learn more in-depth how to ground in awareness of power\, intersectionality\, consent\, conflict transformation\, and trauma-informed approaches. Many of us have come to hold space for sex-positive activities more or less by accident. We quickly realize that the intersections we hold are complicated and multi-faceted. We will support you in holding space for others by teaching you these skills\, plus self-empathy and self-resourcing. \nNote: This workshop series is also part of a larger training program\, consisting of this workshop series and our upcoming in-person training for space holders and teachers that will take place in June 2024. You can book “Resilient Space Holding” as a stand-alone teaching if you do not wish to participate in the in-person training.  \n  \nThere are 2 ways to participate in this training: \nLive sessions + self-learning video \nThe series consists of 4×2 hours of live Zoom sessions which are not recorded. The number of participants for the live sessions is very limited and you will have to apply via this form. \nAfter the live sessions\, we will send you a self-learning video available for the rest of the year. You can purchase this option right now and will be sent the video shortly after the live classes have ended. \nPrice per person: 40-60 Euros sliding scale (if you can still not afford this offering\, please email us and we will find a way.) SUMMARY:Open Rope Training (Intermediate): Exploring Shame
DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly intermediate open rope training is directed at building on what has been taught in the Beginner Open Rope Training. \nPlease note that the classes will be taught in different styles from this level onwards.  \nWe start the class intuitively by following individual impulses with rope. After that\, the main part of the evening we focus on the systematic management of rope\, body handling\, and safety principles: knots\, wrapping\, and aesthetic frictions. The material contains a wide range of harnesses for floor work and simple semi-suspension. It is strongly inspired by the shibari works of Japanese artists Dasniya learned from over the last fifteen years. There is time to switch roles to better understand restriction from both the perspectives of the person tying and the person getting tied so you can experience anything from sexy phantasies and meditative ties. \n  \nTopic of Exploration: SHAME \nTeacher: Dasniya Sommer \nStyle: Dasniya’s basic rope style orientates strongly towards Japanese Kinbaku artists: Akira Naka and Kasumi Horai– whom she attended workshops with in Europe and Japan. Other inspirations are found in the work of Norio Sugiura\, and the legacy of Nureki Chimuo\, who can be considered the protagonists of this ‘school/their era’. The tying system is often considered to be an advanced technique. But with regular practice\, attention to detail\, and to safety an adapted version for European bodies and perspectives can be taught from scratch. It combines a mix of basic shapes\, improvising principles and it trains a sensitive intuition for consequent restriction. \nDasniya’s personal tying is also informed by her longtime dance training and Buddhist background. Rigging from the perspective of the moving body\, and mindful listening to impulses and resonance often create a meditative vibe to get high on ropes. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: single-/double column tie\, basic frictions\, you need to be able to tie a box tie /TK\, simple up-lines \nWhat to Bring: comfortable clothes that are more tight fitting if possible\, a set of 8 of your own ropes\, safety equipment \nSolo or Partnered:  preferably partnered but you can also partner up in the class with other solo people or tie yourself (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros per person \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier so we can process your ticket and welcome you. Once the class has started we do not allow entry. You cannot transfer your ticket to another week. If you are not sure you can come\, please purchase your ticket on the day as soon as you are absolutely sure you can make it. \nIf you know you will come to the open training more than just once\, please ask for our discount card! (For every 5 classes\, the 6th class is on us!) \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. SUMMARY:Cuddles\, Cakes and Kinks
DESCRIPTION:We are opening our new and wonderful house and garden for the afternoon so you can come by\, relax and calm down amongst other queer people. There will be hammocks and little areas for cuddling and enjoying touch. Get or gives massages. Touch grass (literally and metaphorically). Or hang out in the kitchen with us and just chat. We will be baking a bunch of cakes and there will be coffee\, tea\, snacks\, etc. to nourish your bodies and souls. \nLight and slow kink interactions are welcome. So is nudity. Anything that allows you to come back in a soft and nice way. \nWhat does SLOW mean? It means calming things down\, doing them slowly and intentionally\, with consent and good boundaries in place. It means being in community with intention\, not just intensity. It means playing in a space that is semi-private with people to watch and people watching you. It means enjoying the energy of others being in the same space and seeking flow with each other across the room. \nWe are open and happy about what you bring as long you do not dominate the entire room with the noise\, space you need\, or vibe. This is a shared experience so please read the room and give others space as well. \nDue to hygiene and/or high levels of trigger potential\, we do not allow: \n– blood\, pee\, scat play \n– knife play\, needle play \n– uniforms and/or role play that includes institutional power dynamics (i.e. school\, hospital etc.) \n  \nWhat’s the space like? \na kitchen and hang-out area \n2 mezzanines for private tying \none large room with suspension points\, hashiras\, bamboo and rings provided. \nThe quiet garden (you can be in the garden in the summer breeze to get a break from the action inside). \n  \nHow it works \nThe door opens at 5:00 pm and stays open until 7:00 pm (sharp). \nYou will need to purchase a ticket upfront as space is limited.  \nAt 5:30 pm we will give an introduction to people who are new to the space and want to meet others. \nYou can then choose your space and mode (talk\, cuddle\, sleep\, eat cake\, light play) and enjoy yourselves. \nWhat to bring \nYourself and maybe things you like to share with others. \nPlease bring a blanket or towel to put on the yoga mats we provide. \n  \nWhat else to know \nThis jam is aimed at LGBTQIA+ audiences. \nThis space is a sober space. Please do not bring any substances to the spaces or enter the space under the influence. \nNudity is welcome. \nBathrooms and showers are available. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. SUMMARY:Playfight & Rough Body Play Lab
DESCRIPTION:Use your body in a vastly different way. Restricted\, restrained\, maybe even tamed – our bodies are subdued to very strict rules and movements in our daily lives. Time to get primal and rough. Rough body play allows for more fighting\, emotions\, and a deeper exploration of power dynamics than play fights. \nOnce a month we open Karada House for 2 hours of randori (free fights) time to try your new skills and have fun. Our amazing instructor Montse will guide through \n• warm-up exercises \n• consent & safety \n• dos & don’ts \nAfter that – fight! \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every third Tuesday of the month\, 7.30 pm-9.30 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Womên \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: you need to know your body\, its boundaries\, and needs in terms of health and safety \nWhat to Bring: comfortable\, sport clothes that are more tight fitting if possible \nSolo or Partnered:  solo\, partnered\, in a group (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, \nWomên describes people who are identifying themselves as female in their gender identity. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender\, heterosexual womên. \nThe word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the “x” in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Flirting with Sexual Tension
DESCRIPTION:In the context of this workshop\, sexual tension means approaching the eroticism of rope bondage without the expectation or goal of genital play or explicit sex. The content will focus on finding pleasure and sensuality in positions and touch\, restriction and helplessness\, and in looking and being looked at. \nWe will play with exposure\, a bit of undressing\, and some good old crotch rope. Other than that\, genital play is not part of this workshop. This restriction serves two purposes: it creates a shared boundary for this collective setting\, while also celebrating the non-explicit with the aim of freeing the imagination. \n  \nDetails: \nFormat: hands-on workshop & demonstration \nMinimum Knowledge Level: The workshop will focus on a few classical positions\, easily tied on the floor. If you wish to include uplines in your tying\, you should have some previous experience in floor-based semi-suspensions. To do exercises hands-on\, you should participate with someone(s) who you can negotiate and explore erotic themes with\, be vulnerable with\, and be accountable with. You can always re-negotiate your boundaries and opt out of exercises if you need to. Switching roles is possible between exercises. \nWhat to Bring: Those tying: ropes\, a blindfold\, and optional suspension gear. Those being tied: clothing that is right for you in terms of mood\, comfort zone\, and exploring sexual tension. Make sure to wear enough clothing that you are comfortable with being undressed a little. \nSolo or Partnered: any constellation\, partnered if you wanna tie along \nClass recording: yes \nThis class will be recorded (only the facilitator\, not the participants) and is available for ticket holders for 30 days after the event. \n

We also have a limited amount of tickets for LGBTQIA+ & Womên folx who want to you join and are not participants of Queerope. \nParticipants tying in the big workshop will be filmed and projected into the closed and password-protected Zoom room that is inhabited by Queerope participants. The Zoom session is live only\, not recorded\, so nobody but the participants who are present live will see you. \n— \nIT’S ROPE JAM TIME! \nRope Jams are spaces to meet people who love to tie or be tied (or both) and/or bring your tying partner(s) to have a wonderful session together in a space with like-minded people. \nAll roles\, levels\, styles\, etc. are welcome. \nIn the last hour of the jam\, we will lower the lights and music and make it cozy. \n  \nWhat’s the space like? \na kitchen and hang-out area \n2 mezzanines for private tying \none large room with suspension points\, hashiras\, bamboo and rings provided. \nIn the summer: the silent garden (you can tie in the garden in the summer breeze but we keep noise levels low in this area. \n  \nHow it works \nThe door opens at 7:30 pm and stays open until 8:00 pm (sharp). \nYou will need to purchase a ticket upfront as space is limited if you do not have a Queerope ticket. \nAt 8:00 pm we will give an introduction to people who are new to the space and/or new to the jam (format). \nYou can then choose your space to tie (we offer bamboo\, ring\, and spaces for floorwork). The spaces have yoga mats and cushions. \nIn the last hour\, we lower the lights and offer a gong bath for a slower\, more intimate session end. \n  \nWhat to bring \nAll ropes\, gear\, safety cutter\, carabiners\, etc you need. \nWe have rings and bamboo but you can also bring your own. \nPlease bring a blanket or towel to put on the yoga mats we provide. \n  \nWhat else to know \nThis rope jam is aimed at LGBTQIA+ & WOMÊN audiences. \nThis is not a teaching space. \nThis space is a sober space. Please do not bring any substances to the spaces. \nNudity is welcome. \nBathrooms and showers are available. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. \n  \nSafety Concept & Regulation \nPlease consult our safety concept and regulations for this event here. \n  \nFAQs: \nFirst time? No problem. \nPlease join us right at 7:30 pm for an introduction to the space\, the jam itself\, and some advice as to how to navigate a jam and how to engage with people. \nIntroverted? No problem. \nJust send us a message beforehand and we will help you navigate the evening and find like-minded people to engage with. \nTotal newbie? No problem. \nCome\, join the crowd and have a drink. Get to know people and watch others tie and play. \nComing alone? No problem. \nWe always introduce people to each other at the introduction round at 7:30 pm\, so join us then to meet other people.
