SUMMARY:Addie & Barkas: Beyond – Challenging Rope Skills & Critical Thinking
DESCRIPTION:In this weekend workshop\, Barkas and Addie will be taking the participants on a journey that goes way beyond mere tying. In various sections\, we will be looking at the fine details of advanced rope techniques challenging ideas about tying and being tied as well as pushing participants beyond their usual skill set\, while encouraging new ways of thinking and using rope. \nThis workshop is directed at those who are already proficient in their tying and who are now looking at what to do with these skills and how to go beyond. It is also suitable for very skilled practitioners seeking to go into the advanced material of Addie & Barkas’ curriculum and way of approaching rope as a practice (which is not readily available to learn outside of private lessons at the moment). \nCome for the rope challenges and inspiration\, stay for the mind fuck. \nWant more info? Here is Barkas giving details: \n\n  \n  \nPlease note that participants need to apply for this workshop. An application includes a brief letter of intent (previous experiences\, previous teachers\, a reason for participating) and a brief video of their tying skills. That video should ideally show your advanced skills in tying and being tied. An application should include both partners\, i.e. letter of intent\, and the video should include both the person tying and the person in ropes. Switching absolutely welcome but for time reasons\, not every exercise can be done by both. Short-term changes of partners are possible with a check-in ahead of the workshop. Please send your application to info@karada-house.de \n  \nAdditionally\, you can book a private lesson here. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  August 3 & 4\, 2024\, 11 am-6 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: masterclass \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: more than 3 years of structured and constant suspension experience\, familiar with static and dynamic suspensions\, advanced knowledge in techniques\, body handling\, safety\, able to adapt and improvise rope structures for different needs and bodies \nWhat to Bring: approx. 12 Ropes! SUMMARY:Open Hearts\, Open Minds: Exploring “Alternative” Relationship Structures
DESCRIPTION:Modern romance dictates that a single individual should fulfill all of our needs – from sharing joys and fears\, co-parenting and financial commitments\, to sexual happiness\, identity confirmation\, and spiritual fulfillment. Is this fair? \nWe will look into what relationships give us\, then explore a wide variety of relationship structures that are being employed to have people fill all of their needs. Monogamy and serial monogamy are valid options\, but what about polyamory\, swinging\, pre-arranged trysts\, friends with benefits\, or choosing to be our own life partner? \nHow do we communicate in our relationships to make whatever structure we choose actually work\, and we’ll look into issues like jealousy vs. envy\, new relationship energy\, and making each of our friends and partners feel like the unique person they are in our lives. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  July 31st\, 2024\, 8-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: some experience with kink roles \nWhat to Bring: A sense of humor and a loving heart. \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome\, everybody needs a ticket \nClass recording: Yes. This class will be recorded (only the facilitator\, not the participants) and is available for ticket holders for 14 days after the event \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. German can also be provided. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand. \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, \nFriends describe people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgment to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender-straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. We request that we all proactively work and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Holding Space\, Teaching Well – A Training for Space Holders & Facilitators in sex-positive Spaces
DESCRIPTION:  \nHolding Space\, Teaching Well is an 8-day in-person training space for people who hold space and or facilitate in sex-positive spaces. Many of us have come into this role by accident\, because we were asked to or because we tried to fill a gap and cater to a need within our community. Oftentimes times we quickly find ourselves in complex situations having to navigate the intricate waters of communication\, consent\, community building\, and teaching while also having to work within capitalist systems\, power structures\, intersectionalities\, conflict\, and politics. \nAnd of course\, we do so as people who have our own biases\, who have to grapple with their own trauma and neurodivergence\, who lack knowledge in some places\, and who also need to take care of our own well-being\, our own boundaries\, and resources. In short: it’s really fucking complicated. \nThere is no formal training for this kind of job or vocation. We at Karada House have spent the last four years fucking around and finding out more or less through trial and error. We have learned a lot but also wish to gain more knowledge\, so we have curated this training for ourselves and other LGBTQIA+ space holders and facilitators. The space holders and facilitators of this training all come at this topic from a standpoint of having practical knowledge but also vast training in many other fields which they will draw from. Lots of different theoretical and practical access points will be offered to give a variety of ideas and tools to participants. \nHolding Space\, Teaching Well is a fully self-financed initiative from our side and we are offering it at a cost price (meaning we make no profit) so it is as accessible as possible. \nIf you wish to participate in this program (paid or via scholarship)\, you need to apply here. Applications will be approved on a rolling basis until all spaces are filled. Please be aware that the spaces are very limited. \n  \nDate & Time:  July 23-30th\, 2024\, all day \nFormat: Training (theory\, exercises\, group and individual work) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ \nLanguage: English \nWho is this training for: \n– this training is specifically for people of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum \n– people who hold permanent or temporary sex-positive spaces (i.e owners of such spaces\, festival or event organizers\, etc) \n– people who teach/facilitate in sex-positive/kink space (i.e. rope\, sex ed\, kink & BDSM teachers) \nPrerequisites: you have some practical experience in holding space and/or teaching\, you must have been part of the Resilient Space Holding program (March 2024) or you need to have watched and completed the Resilient Space Holding Self-Learning Video before the start of this training. \nWhat to Bring:  note-taking supplies\, and anything you need to help keep your nervous system regulated (stim toys\, blanket\, fluffy socks..)\, any other items will be communicated shortly before the training starts \nSolo or Partnered: space is limited but we allow two members of the same space/project to join together\, solo space holders/facilitators are also welcome \nPrice: 650 Euros per person \n  \nAdditional Information: \nThe price includes snacks\, and tea/coffee/water plus the occasional cake break. In order to lower the costs for participants we also offer a limited number of accommodation spaces in our space. Accommodation is 10 Euros/night and per person. It includes a mattress\, bed linens\, duvet and pillow. A fully equipped kitchen\, a beautiful garden\, and a shower are available. \nAdditionally\, if needed\, you can email us and ask for payment in installments. We can offer up to 5 installments. The full price must be paid before the training begins. \nWe have also 2 full scholarships to give to applicants who have no/low income and work in precarious situations. The scholarship includes free accommodation. Unfortunately\, we cannot cover your travel expenses. \n  \nTeachings: \nPracticalities and Architectures of Creating & Holding Intentional Spaces (Facilitators: Sophia Rose\, Beatrice Behn) \nThis session will bring together facilitators and space holders to increase their practical skills and confidence in working with groups and creating and holding intentional spaces. \nWe will do this by \n– experimenting with different facilitation approaches\, \n-exploring boundaries of space and time when teaching and/or holding space \n– giving and receiving feedback on communication styles \n– discussing and practically exploring the different factors that contribute to and impact space-holding starting with initial contacts all the way to aftercare \n– how architecture\, using and moving in space\, a space setup\, tools\, and additional offers shape your space-holding and teaching \n– how to implement more accessibility for you and others \nThis deeper understanding will bring you into more connection with and awareness of the varying factors inside and outside of yourself when holding space and supporting a group. \n  \nComplaint Making as part of Setting Up Conflict-Positive Spaces for Community Building Praxis (Facilitator: Vishnu Vardhani) \nis part of Vishnu’s auto-ethnographic research that aims to comprehend the ever-evolving community-building practices and their language. The genesis for this work is the idea of power relations and the dynamics that impact decision-making processes. Can we explore the limits of the language\, both spoken and written\, and how we grapple with that in our work as well as the imperative and agency for constructing intentional communities?\nThe workshop will be shaped with the following set of questions\, and thoughts; \n1. Can complaint-making be a recording device?\n2. Can complaining be the agent of change inside of a community that works with\nFeminist Values?\n3. Feminism is a word\, a lot of us use\, answer to\, try and define\, but how do we do feminism?\n4. Can we think with feminist futurism\, by placing the emphasis on the vitality\, cultures\, ontologies\, energy\, and power of people within dynamic structures of a collective\, with ease?\n5. What can a complaint expose other than inequities and ill-treatment of people?\n6. Can Complaint-making help us become effective decision-makers?\n7. Can a complaint help community members to actively acknowledge biases?\n8. Can a complaint render communities capable of addressing necessary conflicts\, while being caring?\n9. What makes a space conflict positive that also helps a community thrive?\n10. Can the art of dissent become a predominant tool for governance?\n11. When do we need to focus on becoming ungovernable vs when we do become a community with dynamic and effective self-governance tools? \nThe workshop will have methodologies informed by Vishnu’s Diasporic Indian Identity. During the training program Vishnu would like to share Feminist Governance Tools (FGT) focused on 3 of the many tiers of community building praxis. FGT is based on the values of equity\, emphasizing creating psychologically safe environments while drawing on the use of consent\, decision-making processes\, setting up conflict-positive spaces\, and complaint-making as diversity work will form the body of training. \n  \n Teaching\, Presenting & Sharing Practices of Intimacy – The Problem of Education & Vulnerability (Facilitator: Barkas) \nLarge areas of intimacy and sexuality education for adults appear as a patchwork of myths or outdated-at-best beliefs about how we learn and acquire skills. Those skills are then shared or taught in ways that are informed by neurotypical\, patriarchal\, and heteronormative educational environments. Teaching topics from intimacy and sexuality demands not only a queering of the status quo but first and foremost a critical approach to seemingly given foundations. In this workshop\, we use deconstruction as an authoritative way of breaking through a rigid\, normalitarian pedagogy. \nThe following outline is a rough table of contents. The exact order and focusses will ultimately depend on the participants:\n⁃ Modes of learning – models of skill acquisition\n⁃ Modes of teaching – models of presentation\n⁃ Teaching vs sharing – queering care\n⁃ The roles of community\n⁃ Consenting to triggers – Contents of intimacy education and its perception\n⁃ The uses of performance.\n⁃ Building fluid curricula – neurodivergence in education \n  \nCommunity Building and Harm Reduction (Facilitator: Addie Tahl) \nThis class is the by-product of years of kitchen table discussions about community/social dynamics\, issues around power and influence\, underlying weaknesses in how we perform consent and safety and responsibility\, the inaccuracy of “community” as a concept\, ways to introduce/support/care for (new) people entering spaces and practices\, the tripping hazards unique to teaching on the road\, et cetera. \nIt has coalesced into a series of soap box proclamations and small hills to die on\, accompanied by proposals for reasonable\, practical approaches and solutions. This combined lecture/discussion invites participants to explore a series of questions and suggestions around structuring spaces and practices to support healthier collectives\, positive growth\, and individual empowerment. \n\n  \nSchedule: \nDay 1\, July 23th\, 2024 \nPracticalities and Architectures of Creating & Holding Intentional Spaces (Facilitator: Sophia Rose\, Beatrice Behn) \nDay 2\, July 24th\, 2024 \nPracticalities and Architectures of Creating & Holding Intentional Spaces (Facilitator: Sophia Rose\, Beatrice Behn) \nDay 3\, July 25th\, 2024 \nComplaint Making as part of Setting Up Conflict-Positive Spaces for Community Building Praxis (Facilitator: Vishnu Vardhani) \nDay 4\, July 26th\, 2024 \nComplaint Making as part of Setting Up Conflict-Positive Spaces for Community Building Praxis (Facilitator: Vishnu Vardhani) \nDay 5\, July 27th\, 2024 \nIntegration Day\, free time \nDay 6\, July 28th\, 2024 \nTeaching\, Presenting & Sharing Practices of Intimacy – The Problem of Education & Vulnerability (Facilitator: Barkas) \nDay 7\, July 29th\, 2024 \nTeaching\, Presenting & Sharing Practices of Intimacy – The Problem of Education & Vulnerability (Facilitator: Barkas) \nDay 8\, July 30th\, 2024 \nCommunity Building and Harm Reduction (Facilitator: Addie Tahl) \n\n  \nSafety Concept & Regulation \nPlease consult our safety concept and regulations for this event here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. SUMMARY:Cuddles\, Cakes and Kinks
DESCRIPTION:We are opening our new and wonderful house and garden for the afternoon so you can come by\, relax and calm down amongst other queer people. There will be hammocks and little areas for cuddling and enjoying touch. Get or gives massages. Touch grass (literally and metaphorically). Or hang out in the kitchen with us and just chat. We will be baking a bunch of cakes and there will be coffee\, tea\, snacks\, etc. to nourish your bodies and souls. \nLight and slow kink interactions are welcome. So is nudity. Anything that allows you to come back in a soft and nice way. \nWhat does SLOW mean? It means calming things down\, doing them slowly and intentionally\, with consent and good boundaries in place. It means being in community with intention\, not just intensity. It means playing in a space that is semi-private with people to watch and people watching you. It means enjoying the energy of others being in the same space and seeking flow with each other across the room. \nWe are open and happy about what you bring as long you do not dominate the entire room with the noise\, space you need\, or vibe. This is a shared experience so please read the room and give others space as well. \nDue to hygiene and/or high levels of trigger potential\, we do not allow: \n– blood\, pee\, scat play \n– knife play\, needle play \n– uniforms and/or role play that includes institutional power dynamics (i.e. school\, hospital etc.) \n  \nWhat’s the space like? \na kitchen and hang-out area \n2 mezzanines for private tying \none large room with suspension points\, hashiras\, bamboo and rings provided. \nThe quiet garden (you can be in the garden in the summer breeze to get a break from the action inside). \n  \nHow it works \nThe door opens at 5:00 pm and stays open until 7:00 pm (sharp). \nYou will need to purchase a ticket upfront as space is limited.  \nAt 5:30 pm we will give an introduction to people who are new to the space and want to meet others. \nYou can then choose your space and mode (talk\, cuddle\, sleep\, eat cake\, light play) and enjoy yourselves. \nWhat to bring \nYourself and maybe things you like to share with others. \nPlease bring a blanket or towel to put on the yoga mats we provide. \n  \nWhat else to know \nThis jam is aimed at LGBTQIA+ audiences. \nThis space is a sober space. Please do not bring any substances to the spaces or enter the space under the influence. \nNudity is welcome. \nBathrooms and showers are available. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. The power of the facilitator is over the space and safety\, not over the knowledge shared. \n  \nAre you a newbie? \nWelcome to the hangout! You can attend at any time of your rope journey. We recommend sharing what you know with others even if you just began to tie. Teaching is the best way to learn! SUMMARY:Playfight & Rough Body Play Lab
DESCRIPTION:Use your body in a vastly different way. Restricted\, restrained\, maybe even tamed – our bodies are subdued to very strict rules and movements in our daily lives. Time to get primal and rough. Rough body play allows for more fighting\, emotions\, and a deeper exploration of power dynamics than play fights. \nOnce a month we open Karada House for 2 hours of randori (free fights) time to try your new skills and have fun. Our amazing instructor Montse will guide through \n• warm-up exercises \n• consent & safety \n• dos & don’ts \nAfter that – fight! \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every third Tuesday of the month\, 7.30 pm-9.30 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Womên \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: you need to know your body\, its boundaries\, and needs in terms of health and safety \nWhat to Bring: comfortable\, sport clothes that are more tight fitting if possible \nSolo or Partnered:  solo\, partnered\, in a group (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender\, heterosexual womên. \nThe word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the “x” in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Semenawa Series
DESCRIPTION:Semenawa is a concept in Shibari that is often misunderstood. \nSemenawa is often translated as ‘torture’ rope\, however\, a more accurate term might be to describe it as ‘torment’. The intention is for both the rigger and model to be consciously exploring suffering through rope\, however\, what can make it difficult to grasp is whether or not the suffering should feel pleasurable. Semenawa is often seen as something that must feel painful\, but suffering is not exclusive to pain. \nIn this three-part series\, we will be exploring the subtle nuances of creating a tormenting experience without compromising on our limits and safety measures. The focus will be on stirring up the inner torment of the individual experience\, rather than applying pain. \nPart 1 (July 9th\, 2024\, 7 pm-9.30 pm) \nIn this class\, hua hua will introduce her own personal approach to Semenawa\, which she’s developed through her studies with Naka Akira and integrated with my other practices. Semenawa is a state of mind rather than a style. hua hua will share how we can identify this state of mind through positions\, timing\, rope handling\, and communication. The workshop will end with a demonstration of Semenawa play with space for feedback and questions afterward. \nPart 2: (July 16th\, 2024\, 7 pm-9.30 pm) \nIn the second class of this series\, we will be focusing on the practice of patience and endurance in creating a Semenawa experience. The class will include exercises that can be tied on the floor without a suspension point. Students may choose to tie along with the class\, however\, this is only optional. \nPart 3: (July 23rd\, 2024\, 7 pm-9.30 pm) \nIn the final class of the series\, we will be looking at how suspension can be approached with the intention of Semenawa. To some extent\, all suspension can be considered ‘seme’ – when the model does not have any ability to support themselves\, they lose their ability to fight back against the will of the rigger. We will explore how this can be played with and the difference without partial and full suspension. hua hua and her model will demonstrate a scene\, It is advised to not tie along during the live. In the demonstration\, we will discuss what elements can be included depending on your skill level\, dynamic\, and pacing. Following the demonstration we will share feedback and hold a final group discussion. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  July 9th\, 16th and 23rd\, 2024\, 7 pm- 9.30 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop/demo \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge level: Basic Knowledge of Shibari e.g some context of the culture and consent practices\, experience with simple knots and frictions if they wish to tie along \nWhat to bring:  Rope if you would like to tie along\, and participate with a partner. \nSolo or Partnered:  All constellations. The ticket price is per person. \nClass recording: Yes. The session will be recorded and available for 14 days after the workshop. SUMMARY:Trauma-informed Negotiation
DESCRIPTION:Let’s make space to acknowledge the reality that most (if not all) of us may carry some histories and experiences of trauma in our bodies. When we play with the vulnerability and intimacy of kink and BDSM\, we could come into contact with these realities. How do we take better care of ourselves and one another if this is the case? \nThis 2-part-class will support you to enhance your negotiation skills beyond the basics of what you do and don’t want to do during play. How do you communicate and ask transparently about trauma? How could this show up and what to do if someone becomes triggered? What does safety and care look and feel like for you in a kink context? Let’s take an in-depth exploration into how we can develop our negotiation practice to be more trauma-informed. \nThis 2-part-class is suited for people throughout the kink spectrum\, from top to bottom\, Doms and subs\, riggers and people who like to be tied\, and switches alike – we will look from the perspective of both ‘sides’ of the equation\, what needs to be known\, how to support one another\, and how to create negotiation styles which work for you. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  July 8th & August 22nd\, 2024\, 7 pm- 9.30 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nKnowledge level:  n/a \nWhat to bring:  A journal. Any questions you have \nSolo or Partnered:  All constellations. The ticket price is per person. \nClass recording: Yes. The session will be recorded and available for 14 days after the workshop. The participants will not be recorded. \n  \nWhat else to know \nAfter your successful ticket purchase\, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. \nIf you cannot afford this event\, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices. SUMMARY:Tying Slowly: On the Joy of the Un-Arrival
DESCRIPTION:“Tying slowly is a really great way for you to have enough space to observe each other really\nwell.” –Hua Hua\, Shibari Study Series \n“Slow the fuck down.” –Georg Barkas\, numerous times at Karada House workshops \nLike exercising\, tying slowly (at the proper moment) is a piece of advice offered by many of our favorite rope instructors\, and its various benefits to rope practitioners have been well documented. It may facilitate observation\, communication\, continuous consent\, etc. \nTo explore tying slowly\, some questions emerge: How do we tie slowly? How slowly can we tie? What are the senses of “slow”? \nIn this workshop\, we will embark on a journey of slow tying. Through various exercises\, with or without rope\, we will practice different ways of tying slowly and explore different layers of touch. We will introduce practical means for participants to radically and confidently slow rope communication down\, and through this process\, expand the experience and uncover previously overlooked spaces of connection. Participants with any level of rope experience\, including none at all\, are invited to this joint exploration of the joy of the un-arrival. \nThe Content may be subject to change based on what emerges during the workshop. If possible\, tying along is recommended. \nGandalf will be facilitating this workshop together with Naraku\, with whom they have been slowly and joyfully tying for over a year. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  July 6th\, 2024\, 1 pm-3.30 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: journey \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: none \nWhat to Bring: a piece of rope \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome (everyone needs a ticket). \nClass recording: Yes. Communication within the class can be had via chat but also people can come on mic and speak. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance\, i.e. someone reading out the chat\, etc\, please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand.  \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, agender. \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgement to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. SUMMARY:Open Rope Training for Beginners: Basic Structure and Modular Thinking
DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly open training is designed for anyone who would like to learn about Japanese-inspired rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku whether you see yourself in the role of the person tying or being tied. \nOur open rope training for beginners is a continuous offer for anyone looking for a regular practice space to advance their skills. Each time we will offer a teaching on one particular topic. Depending on your skill level and how quickly you can pick up on things\, you can then either use the remaining open-space time to practice this one new skill in your own time or you can up the ante with the help of your teacher. You can also choose to train your own skills on another topic if you like and have a teacher give you feedback and help you improve. \n  \nTopic of the week: Basic Structure and Modular Thinking \nApproximately 90 % of rope bondage patterns are based on the same basic structures. Join this open training for an introduction to understanding the modules on which a lot of patterns are built. You will leave with a greater understanding of the “why” behind rope technique as well as the ability to more easily improvise well built patterns.. \n  \nTeacher of the week: Caritia \nCaritia’s style is an eclectic one\, blended as it is from 20+ years in kink and learning to tie (and getting tied) from a diverse range of Japanese and Northern European instructors. After twelve years on this path\, which has ebbed and flowed\, ‘I’m forever a curious student’. Focused on accessibility\, from pedagogy to diverse movement (stillness)\, specializing in the body\, floorwork\, partial suspensions\, and adaptive ties\, Caritia infuses (her) teachings with laughter as a key element of play.\n \n  \nYou can come alone or with a partner. You can tie yourself or your partner. Alternatively\, you can partner up with another participant. \nYou can but do not need to bring any ropes as we will provide workshop ropes for you. \nYou can also spontaneously come by on the day and purchase a ticket online right up to the beginning of the class if there is space left. \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. SUMMARY:Consensual Non-Consent 101

Why would anyone wish to engage in this form of play? And how many different ways can it turn out? Where are the boundaries between consent and the desire to play with taboos? Feel free to bring your own ideas and questions to the (virtual) table \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  July 2nd\, 2024\, 7 pm – 10 pm \nFormat: Discussion \nMinimum Knowledge Level: – \nWhat to Bring: ideas\, questions\, partners\, ways to keep notes \nSolo or Partnered: any constellation works.
