SUMMARY:Open Rope Training for Beginners: Moving (with each other) on the Floor
DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly open training is designed for anyone who would like to learn about Japanese-inspired rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku whether you see yourself in the role of the person tying or being tied. \nOur open rope training for beginners is a continuous offer for anyone looking for a regular practice space to advance their skills. Each time we will offer a teaching on one particular topic. Depending on your skill level and how quickly you can pick up on things\, you can then either use the remaining open-space time to practice this one new skill in your own time or you can up the ante with the help of your teacher. You can also choose to train your own skills on another topic if you like and have a teacher give you feedback and help you improve. \n  \nTopic of the week: Moving (with each other) on the Floor \nDifferent ways of moving create very different rope sessions\, and everyone playing has agency on how they move their own body. This open training explores how to be more creative with movement and how the person getting tied can completely change the course of the session. \nTeacher of the week: René de Sans \n  \nYou can come alone or with a partner. You can tie yourself or your partner. Alternatively\, you can partner up with another participant. \nYou can but do not need to bring any ropes as we will provide workshop ropes for you. \nYou can also spontaneously come by on the day and purchase a ticket online right up to the beginning of the class if there is space left. \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier so we can process your ticket and welcome you. Once the class has started we do not allow entry. You cannot transfer your ticket to another week. If you are not sure you can come\, please purchase your ticket on the day as soon as you are absolutely sure you can make it. \nIf you know you will come to the open training more than just once\, please ask for our discount card! (For every 5 classes\, the 6th class is on us!) \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every other Wednesday\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: you have knowledge on the topics of rope safety\, consent\, and boundaries\, you have been to our “Rope for Absolute Beginners” class at  or have solid knowledge of single & double-column ties\, wrapping\, tension & counter tension \nWhat to Bring: comfortable clothes that are more tight fitting if possible\, 1-3 of your own ropes (we can also provide ropes for you) \nSolo or Partnered:  solo\, partnered\, in a group (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros \n  \nWhat happens next? \nThe Open Rope Training for Beginners is an ongoing course designed to run approx. 8 months with constantly new topics. SUMMARY:Open Rope Training for Beginners: Restricting & Controlling Movement
\n  \nTopic of the week: Restricting & Controlling Movement \nRestriction is a big part of why we love rope bondage\, and there’s only so much you can do with tying harnesses on separate body parts. This open training teaches you how to attach limbs to harnesses and furniture. It’s also a great first step for starting to figure out suspension lines. Within this ongoing course you can work on a lower as well as higher knowledge level. If you feel like you are too advanced\, please talk to your teacher(s) about switching to the “Open Rope Training – Next Level” next. \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. SUMMARY:Playfight & Rough Body Play Lab
DESCRIPTION:Use your body in a vastly different way. Restricted\, restrained\, maybe even tamed – our bodies are subdued to very strict rules and movements in our daily lives. Time to get primal and rough. Rough body play allows for more fighting\, emotions\, and a deeper exploration of power dynamics than play fights. \nOnce a month we open Karada House for 2 hours of randori (free fights) time to try your new skills and have fun. Our amazing instructor Montse will guide through \n• warm-up exercises \n• consent & safety \n• dos & don’ts \nAfter that – fight! \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every third Tuesday of the month\, 7.30 pm-9.30 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Womên \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: you need to know your body\, its boundaries\, and needs in terms of health and safety \nWhat to Bring: comfortable\, sport clothes that are more tight fitting if possible \nSolo or Partnered:  solo\, partnered\, in a group (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender\, heterosexual womên. \nThe word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the “x” in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Oil & Flesh Ritual
DESCRIPTION:This is an immersive sensual group ritual that’s somewhere between a cuddle puddle and an orgy. Naked\, laying down\, blindfolded\, and covered from head to toe in warm coconut oil.. You’ll be guided to touch your own and other’s bodies with slowness and presence. You’ll be encouraged to drop stories of desirability and melt into the pool of soft bodies. \nCurious about how it’ll happen? \nWe will begin the session by establishing clear boundaries and designated safety words & gestures. Almond will also demonstrate and guide you through practicing your yes’s and no’s.\nYou’ll then be invited to disrobe and blindfold\, then guided onto the cushioned tarp where the magic will happen.\nOn a cushioned tarp\, you’ll be assisted to lay closely side-by-side.\nOnce the warm oil has been poured onto your bodies\, you’ll be invited to start moving and touching your own body. Slowly\, you’ll be invited to explore the beings beside you.\nWhile sensuality and eroticism are welcome\, penetration (of any kind) is not. You’re invited to reach for nearby bodies with the back of your hands and limbs\, but never to grab or hold.\nYou’re welcome to come out of the experience at any moment and a facilitator will help you come out.\nWe will end with collective aftercare and integration. \nClean-up \nBe prepared to be completely covered in coconut oil\, including your blindfold and hair!\nTo respect the house\, anyone coming off the tarp after having oil on them needs to be fully clothed with fresh socks (no oil on the floors\, pretty please). Therefore\, please come prepared with several socks\, towels\, and clothes that will come in contact with oil left over on your skin. \nRisks involved \nWe want you to make a risk-informed decision about your participation in such a ritual.\n– While there is no genital contact in the pit\, there is still the risk of STI transmission through the oil.\n– While the space holders are watching diligently to ensure the space guidelines and consent practices are being followed – we can’t see everything at all times.\n– We are all humans with histories\, traumas\, and baggage. This ritual is highly immersive and can open doors to big emotions. For some\, this is a very edgy and intense experience. \nPreparation \n– For hygiene\, we must ask that you let us know if you have any transferrable skin-to-skin infections. There are ways we can modify the practice for you to participate.\n– Please do not join if you’re feeling physically unwell\, or have an active transmittable STI or an open wound.\n– For slippery safety\, this ritual happens sitting and lying. If these aren’t accessible for you\, please reach out to explore accommodations.\n– Please shower before coming.\n– Trim your nails.\n– Brush your teeth.\n– Use minimal scented products.\n– Wash off estrogen and testo gel. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: August 17th\, 2024 – 7 pm-12 am \nFormat: ritual \nAudience: LGBTQIA+ & WOMÊN \nKnowledge Level:\nMust have solid comfort expressing ‘no’ with safe words and gestures. \nWhat to bring: a blindfold\, 2 towels\, 2 pairs of socks\, and clothes you’re comfortable getting oily \nLanguage: English \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome \nPrice: 40 Euros per person \n  \nWhat will happen \n-1.5 hours: intro\, agreements\, consent practice \n-20 minutes: personal prep \n-1.45 hours: in oil (give or take\, depending on the energy) \n-15 minutes re-dress \n-1 hour: integration exercise/space \n  \nSafety Concept & Regulation\nPlease consult our safety concept and regulations for this event here. \n  \nAccessibility Note\nThis ritual happens on a cushioned tarp on the floor. Participants must stay laying or sitting down (as standing in oil is too dangerous). Please reach out to Almond if this is an accessibility issue for you\, and we can discuss how to accommodate. Oil & Flesh is facilitated in spoken English. German can also be provided. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. The garden is only partially accessible at the moment. During the workshop\, we will sit on the floor. Sitting in a chair can also be provided. SUMMARY:Strategies for Switching: Fulfilling Your Desires
DESCRIPTION:The term “switch” has a lot of baggage attached to it in a polarized BDSM community\, where you are expected to be a Top or a Bottom\, a Master or a Slave. There are a thousand reasons why many of us feel a calling to cross over from time to time\, while others are born to ride a wide variety of sides of their souls. \nWe will be addressing why people switch (Tops who want to know what it feels like\, Slaves who want to serve masochistic Masters\, greedy versatile pigs who want it all)\, strategies to finding play partners or relationship structures (one partner many roles\, play partners outside of monogamous relationships\, polyamory\, swinging\, open relationships\, self-play)\, and create ways to check in with ourselves about what our own needs are. Let’s look at switching\, and see what notions we are ready to embrace\, and which need to be switched around. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  August 16th\, 2024\, 8-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: some experience with kink roles \nWhat to Bring: A sense of humor and a loving heart. \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome\, everybody needs a ticket \nClass recording: Yes. This class will be recorded (only the facilitator\, not the participants) and is available for ticket holders for 14 days after the event \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand. \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, \nFriends describe people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgment to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender-straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. We request that we all proactively work and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Technically A Suspension
DESCRIPTION:  \nThere are a whole bunch of options for technically performing suspensions\, as in they get the person off the ground\, but maybe only for a moment\, or only a centimeter\, or partly supported on a body/furniture\, or using a pulley\, or making a rope hammock\, or only if the person in ropes flexes to lift off. \nThis is a class in opposition to the often high demands of suspension\, where the goal is to find ways to have the person in ropes not touch the ground without having to get too complicated\, strenuous\, physically demanding\, or pretentious about it. \nThis class also touches on accessibility – what are some ways of making a suspension that doesn’t require hand strength to hold and lock suspension lines? What about ways of adding extra supports for sore bodies\, or suspending without constricting certain areas? Bring questions and queries\, there will be space to lab special requests! \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  August 14th\, 2024\, 7 pm-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: an understanding of up-lines\, an understanding of what makes basic suspensionable body attachments (chest harness\, loops\, leg binder\, whatever)\, and a sense of humor and adventure \nWhat to Bring:  ropes\, if you want to tie along \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be made available after the last live class for 14 days. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. SUMMARY:Open Rope Training (Intermediate): Chaos
DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly intermediate open rope training is directed at building on what has been taught in the Beginner Open Rope Training. \nPlease note that the classes will be taught in different styles from this level onwards.  \nTeacher: Ceci Ferox \nStyle: Ceci’s tying is best described as fusion-style with a deep understanding of different schools of Japanese rope bondage. They are a specialist in modifying harnesses to different body shapes\, sizes\, compositions\, and abilities. Ceci is driven by understanding why people tie the way they tie\, and loves to deconstruct technique and communication into their basic elements to understand them better. In suspension\, Ceci prefers working low\, staying connected\, and moving through transitions. \nTopic of Exploration: CHAOS \nEmbrace the chaos and join Ceci in this training that breaks the rules. We’re going to try to forget logic and structure while still ending up with something functional. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: single-/double column tie\, basic frictions\, you need to be able to tie a box tie /TK\, simple up-lines \nWhat to Bring: comfortable clothes that are more tight fitting if possible\, a set of 8 of your own ropes\, safety equipment \nSolo or Partnered:  preferably partnered but you can also partner up in the class with other solo people or tie yourself (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros per person \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp.
