SUMMARY:Open Rope Training for Beginners: Frictions\, Part I
DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly open training is designed for anyone who would like to learn about Japanese-inspired rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku whether you see yourself in the role of the person tying or being tied. \nOur open rope training for beginners is a continuous offer for anyone looking for a regular practice space to advance their skills. Each time we will offer a teaching on one particular topic. Depending on your skill level and how quickly you can pick up on things\, you can then either use the remaining open-space time to practice this one new skill in your own time or you can up the ante with the help of your teacher. You can also choose to train your own skills on another topic if you like and have a teacher give you feedback and help you improve. \n  \nTopic of the week: Frictions Part I \nFrictions are needed for the stability and versatility of tying. Join this open training to learn frictions for freestyle floor training. We will focus in on how half hitches and munter hitches work and how to use them in play. \nTeacher of the week: Renée de Sans \n  \nYou can come alone or with a partner. You can tie yourself or your partner. Alternatively\, you can partner up with another participant. \nYou can but do not need to bring any ropes as we will provide workshop ropes for you. \nYou can also spontaneously come by on the day and purchase a ticket online right up to the beginning of the class if there is space left. \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. SUMMARY:Playfight & Rough Body Play Lab
DESCRIPTION:Use your body in a vastly different way. Restricted\, restrained\, maybe even tamed – our bodies are subdued to very strict rules and movements in our daily lives. Time to get primal and rough. Rough body play allows for more fighting\, emotions\, and a deeper exploration of power dynamics than play fights. \nOnce a month we open Karada House for 2 hours of randori (free fights) time to try your new skills and have fun. Our amazing instructor Montse will guide through \n• warm-up exercises \n• consent & safety \n• dos & don’ts \nAfter that – fight! \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every third Tuesday of the month\, 7.30 pm-9.30 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Womên \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: you need to know your body\, its boundaries\, and needs in terms of health and safety \nWhat to Bring: comfortable\, sport clothes that are more tight fitting if possible \nSolo or Partnered:  solo\, partnered\, in a group (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand.  \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, \nWomên describes people who are identifying themselves as female in their gender identity. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender\, heterosexual womên. \nThe word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the “x” in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Cuddles\, Cakes and Kinks
DESCRIPTION:  \nWelcome to Cuddles\, Cakes and Kinks\, your monthly aftercare event to take a break from cisheteropatriarchy\, capitalism\, the burning world\, or life in general. We’re here to rest so we can resist\, to play as an antidote to pressure\, and to let the people eat cake.\nWe are opening our wonderful house for the evening so you can come by\, relax\, and calm down amongst other queer people. There will be hammocks and little areas for cuddling and enjoying touch. Get or give massages. Do some soft\, slow kink. Or hang out in the kitchen with us and just chat. We will be baking a bunch of cakes and there will be coffee\, tea\, and snacks to nourish your bodies and souls.\nLight and slow kink interactions are welcome. Anything that allows you to come back to yourself and into connection with others in a soft and nice way. This is not a play party or sex club\, but a playful community event. The vibe is cozy\, and we don’t do genital play.\nThere is a separate cuddle room that is completely free from any kind of play\, horny vibes\, and nudity. It’s for cuddles\, naps\, quiet conversation\, maybe reading a book. \nWhat does LIGHT and SLOW mean? \nIt means calming things down\, doing them slowly and intentionally\, with consent and good boundaries in place. It means being in community with intention\, not just intensity. It means playing in a space that is semi-private but shared. It means enjoying the energy of others being in the same space and seeking flow with each other across the room.\nWe are open and happy about what you bring as long as you do not dominate the entire room with the noise\, space you need\, or vibe. This is a shared experience so please read the room and give others space as well.\nImagine you’re doing kink for the first time – things are moving slow and shy. Maybe a spank there\, a pull of the hair there\, a bit of giggling\, a soft smooch on the lips\, a drip off a candle\, a bite on the neck\, playing cats for a while\, wrists that are tied\, a teasing run of rope across the chest.\nIf you want it wild\, hard\, and horny\, come to Wild Unicorns instead!\nDue to hygiene\, trigger potential\, and the vibe of the event\, we do not allow: \n– sideline wanking\n– full nudity outside the play area (big room)\n– blood\, pee\, scat play\n– knife play\, needle play\n– uniforms and/or role play that includes institutional power dynamics (i.e. school\, military\, police\, bürgeramt…) \nDress code \nSoft and cozy (onesies\, lounge wear\, leggings\, pajamas\, flower dresses\, hoodies…) or if you’re in the mood to dress up\, you can flag queer like you’re going to pride (fabulous outfits\, jeans shorts with pocket kerchiefs\, leather daddies\, muscle mommies\, rainbow makeup…) \nWhat’s the space like? \nkitchen and hang-out area with cake\, snacks\, tea\, coffee\, stim toys\, and an introvert’s corner.\nlarge room with mats\, cushions\, blankets\, suspension points\, hammocks\, and nice music.\nmezzanine with a massage table\, floor massage spot\, and massage oil.\ncuddle space with soft mattresses\, pillows\, blankets\, dim lights\, and soft music.\nquiet garden in the summer for touching grass and enjoying the breeze. \nHow it works \nThe door opens at 5:00 pm and stays open until 7:00 pm (sharp).\nYou will need to purchase a ticket upfront as space is limited.\nAt 5:30 pm we will give an introduction to people who are new to the space and want to meet others. If you come later\, you will still go through an introduction to the rules\, space\, and event at arrival.\nYou can then choose your space and mode (talk\, cuddle\, sleep\, eat cake\, light play) and enjoy yourself. \nWhat to bring \nYourself and maybe things you like to share with others.\nPlease bring a blanket or towel to put on the yoga mats we provide. \nWhat else to know \nThis event is aimed at LGBTQIA+ audiences.\nThis space is a sober space. Please do not bring any substances to the spaces or enter the space under the influence.\nNudity is welcome in the play area.\nBathrooms and showers are available. \nRules of Engagement \n\nCuddles\, cakes and kinks is a playful community event for LGBTQIA+ people. This is not a play party or sex club. We are here to connect and rest. You can cuddle\, chat\, read a book\, eat cake\, do some light and slow BDSM\, exchange massages\, or even make out. The dress code is soft and cozy or flagging queer.\nLight and slow means that you are mindful of how loud you are\, how much space you take\, and try to be in harmony with the rest of the room. Think cozy\, consensual and cute\, not intense and overwhelming.\nThis is a sober event. Please do not bring any substances to the space or enter under the influence.\nThe play space is for light and slow kink play. If you want to watch\, sit on one of the seats. You can be nude in the designated areas if you keep a towel under your butt. No sideline wanking\, scat\, piss\, sharps\, or uniforms/roleplay based on institutional power. Disinfect your spot after using\, and bring textiles to wash if you got bodily fluids on them (like sweaty butt or drool).\nThe mezzanine in the play space is for massage. Wipe off hands and feet afterwards if you use oil\, and bring socks to wear.\nThe cuddle space (back room or garden terrace) is for cuddles\, naps\, and light conversation. No nudity\, play\, or horny vibes. Ask before joining the cuddle puddle.\nThe kitchen area is for eating cake\, drinking tea\, and chatting. It’s free from play and nudity. Ask the space holders if you want a coffee. Ask us if you need sugar or gluten free options. We appreciate donations for the buffet. There’s a stim toy box.\nThe mezzanine in the kitchen is for retreating and resting\, leave people alone if they are up there.\nSmoking only in the smoking area in the garden\, next to the gate.\nBe soft and slow\, respect others and give them space. Collaborate in creating a safe and gentle mood. You get gratitude and imaginary points for helping us clean the space afterwards.\n\nAccessibility Note \nThe space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. The garden is only partially accessible at the moment. During the workshop\, we will sit on the floor. Sitting in a chair can also be provided. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand.  \n  \nSafety Concept & Regulation \nPlease consult our safety concept and regulations for this event here. \n

SUMMARY:Open Rope Training (Intermediate): Predicaments in partial suspension
DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly intermediate open rope training is directed at building on what has been taught in the Beginner Open Rope Training. \nPlease note that the classes will be taught in different styles from this level onwards.  \nTeacher: Ceci Ferox \nStyle: Ceci’s tying is best described as fusion-style with a deep understanding of different schools of Japanese rope bondage. They are a specialist in modifying harnesses to different body shapes\, sizes\, compositions\, and abilities. Ceci is driven by understanding why people tie the way they tie\, and loves to deconstruct technique and communication into their basic elements to understand them better. In suspension\, Ceci prefers working low\, staying connected\, and moving through transitions. \nTopic of Exploration: Predicaments in partial suspension \nPredicaments are positions that give the person tied the opportunity to move between two or more positions that suck. In this class\, we will use partial suspensions to create ties that fuck with the mind. Ceci will demonstrate some fundamentals and ideas\, after which you will practice creating your own predicament ties. It’s possible to either copy what is shown or come up with your own version. Any kind of body can be tied in the class. You have to understand the risks of suspension on both sides of the rope to join this class. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: single-/double column tie\, basic frictions\, you need to be able to tie a box tie /TK\, simple up-lines \nWhat to Bring: comfortable clothes that are more tight fitting if possible\, a set of 8 of your own ropes\, safety equipment \nSolo or Partnered:  preferably partnered but you can also partner up in the class with other solo people or tie yourself (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros per person \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. SUMMARY:Inventing Suspension Harnesses
DESCRIPTION:This is the workshop that will make you understand how easy tying actually is. Or at least that’s the most frequent feedback Ceci gets for it.\nCeci will give you tools for inventing and building your own suspendable harnesses that fit the person you are tying and your own personal tying style. You will get both technical and creative skills. Ceci will demonstrate exercises for creating both structured and chaotic harnesses. You will also get ideas for games that feed creativity. \nThis workshop is based on lecture content and demonstrations. We recommend watching the class live to have the opportunity to ask questions\, and then taking time to practice with the recording. SUMMARY:Reclaiming our Pleasure Rights: Exploring Sexuality for Trans* Folk and their Lovers
DESCRIPTION:Let’s skip to the meat of the matter: we want sex\, we have sex\, and we deserve sex. But how can we reclaim our pleasure rights when we won’t even talk about it with our friends and lovers? \nIn this class we will dive into the fears we have around rejection and body dysphoria\, then put that all on a shelf for a few minutes to dive into what actually WORKS! How does humor and joy play into our pursuit of pleasure? What issues face trans* folks or others who are outside the binary who have male partners\, female partners\, trans* partners\, and hell\, what do you call the stuff between your legs anyway? Does it matter? \nWe’ll touch on the issues of safer sex as well\, in a community where our desperation to be touched the way we need to be touched has led to a heartbreaking habit of doing anything to get our needs met. Breathe deep\, and get ready to listen from your heart and share from your spirit. \nThis space is first and foremost for trans people and their lovers. Allies are welcome but we ask you to step back and give space to others first. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  December 3rd\, 2024\, 8-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level:  \nWhat to Bring: Openness to share\, listen\, and learn with curiosity\, knowing we all come from different perspectives on this complex topic. \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome\, everybody needs a ticket \nClass recording: Yes. This class will be recorded (only the facilitator\, not the participants) and is available for ticket holders for 14 days after the event \n  \nWhat else to know \nAfter your successful ticket purchase\, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. \nIf you cannot afford this event\, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices. SUMMARY:Kink Ethics
DESCRIPTION:“Kink Ethics” is a workshop that encourages participants to develop their thinking about how to practice kink in a way that’s aligned with their values. This reflective and writing-based workshop will move us beyond simplified slogans and assumptions\, and challenge us to articulate — to ourselves and future partners — our ethics and ethical boundaries. \nWe will review some different ways of thinking about kink ethics (from a cultural perspective\, not a hard philosophy one — don’t worry!) and then work through a series of guided writing exercises to help us think about what feels right and wrong in our hearts\, bringing those feelings into alignment with our principles\, and articulating those feelings to others. \n  \nWhat we will do \n– Explore a cultural approach to kink ethics\, reviewing some different frameworks \n– Think about our own ethics\, what assumptions we may be making about what’s good and bad\, and whether we want to articulate those assumptions\, or change them \n– Learn how to incorporate ethics into our negotiations and community participation \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: December 3rd\, 2024\, 7 pm – 10 pm \nFormat: Workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: knowledge in consent and boundaries and kink play \nWhat to Bring: Writing materials\, an open mind\, any tools that help you regulate \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome \nTicket: Price is per person \n  \nSafety Concept & Regulation \nPlease consult our safety concept and regulations for this event here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, agender. \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgement to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. We request that we all pro-actively work and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Primal Play: Hunter\, Hunted\, Predator\, and Prey
DESCRIPTION:Each of us holds an animal inside us\, and that creature is primal\, wild\, and tapped into the ancient power that says hunt\, or be hunted\, run\, or be captured. What kind of feral beast are you\, and why? Whether you are partnered with someone primal\, are primal yourself as an identity\, enjoy the play\, or are simply curious\, we will work on skills for negotiation\, “reading” our partners when verbal tools are off the table\, and communication skills in general. Consent can be complex\, so let’s build our knowledge and safety skills together. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  November 24th\, 2024\, 8-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: Beginner/Intermediate with new opportunities for ideas you may not have been exposed to before for advanced explorers \nWhat to Bring: Openness to share\, listen\, and learn with curiosity\, knowing we all come from different perspectives on this complex topic. \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome\, everybody needs a ticket \nClass recording: Yes. This class will be recorded (only the facilitator\, not the participants) and is available for ticket holders for 14 days after the event \n  \nWhat we will teach \n– Discuss the wide array of primal play styles out there \n– Build tips and tools for going into primal “space” and coming back to being a socialized human \n– Find ways to connect with “primal” partners \n– Examine the complexities of consent and safety for these types of dynamics and play \n– Improve skills for negotiation and communication when verbal systems are not available \n  \nWhat else to know \nAfter your successful ticket purchase\, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. \nIf you cannot afford this event\, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices.
