SUMMARY:Global Rope Jam with Live Music
DESCRIPTION:The Global Rope Jam is a tradition of Queerope and this year we will celebrate it online but also live in our house! Join us for live music by Ghost Acres and a guided session for the first 30 minutes by Sophia Rose. The rest of the evening we will spend tying while also watching dozens of Queerope participants from all over the world simultaneously tie in their respective countries and time zones. \nNOTE: \nFREE ENTRY IF YOU SHOW US YOUR QUEEROPE TICKET (day ticket for Saturday or full ticket). We also have a limited amount of tickets for LGBTQIA+ & Womên folx who want to you join and are not participants of Queerope. \nParticipants tying in the big workshop will be filmed and projected into the closed and password-protected Zoom room that is inhabited by Queerope participants. The Zoom session is live only\, not recorded\, so nobody but the participants who are present live will see you. \n— \nIT’S ROPE JAM TIME! \nRope Jams are spaces to meet people who love to tie or be tied (or both) and/or bring your tying partner(s) to have a wonderful session together in a space with like-minded people. \nAll roles\, levels\, styles\, etc. are welcome. \nIn the last hour of the jam\, we will lower the lights and music and make it cozy. \n  \nWhat’s the space like? \na kitchen and hang-out area \n2 mezzanines for private tying \none large room with suspension points\, hashiras\, bamboo and rings provided. \nIn the summer: the silent garden (you can tie in the garden in the summer breeze but we keep noise levels low in this area. \n  \nHow it works \nThe door opens at 7:30 pm and stays open until 8:00 pm (sharp). \nYou will need to purchase a ticket upfront as space is limited if you do not have a Queerope ticket. \nAt 8:00 pm we will give an introduction to people who are new to the space and/or new to the jam (format). \nYou can then choose your space to tie (we offer bamboo\, ring\, and spaces for floorwork). The spaces have yoga mats and cushions. \nIn the last hour\, we lower the lights and offer a gong bath for a slower\, more intimate session end. \n  \nWhat to bring \nAll ropes\, gear\, safety cutter\, carabiners\, etc you need. \nWe have rings and bamboo but you can also bring your own. \nPlease bring a blanket or towel to put on the yoga mats we provide. \n  \nWhat else to know \nThis rope jam is aimed at LGBTQIA+ & WOMÊN audiences. \nThis is not a teaching space. \nThis space is a sober space. Please do not bring any substances to the spaces. \nNudity is welcome. \nBathrooms and showers are available. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. The garden is only partially accessible at the moment. During the workshop\, we will sit on the floor. Sitting in a chair can also be provided. DESCRIPTION:QUEEROPE 2024 is a 5-day virtual conference for mostly shibari/kinbaku/Japanese-inspired bondage that is exclusively for LGBTQIA+ people and womên. \nWe welcome all roles (rigger/tops\, model/bottoms\, switches\, etc.)\, all knowledge levels (beginner\, intermediate\, advanced)\, and all styles to this gathering that aims to bring queer & female-identifying practitioners together to celebrate their love for rope and exchange knowledge and experiences. \n  \nDay Pass: \n50 Euros per day pass. \nA day pass is valid for one person for the entire conference day and includes access to the recordings of the day’s classes for 30 days after the event. \nFor a full conference ticket\, please go here. \n  \n  \nFAQ: \nHow do you define “LGBTQIA+” & “womên”? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, and agender. \nWomên describes people who identify themselves as female in their gender identity. DESCRIPTION:Let’s slow down together and end the week/welcome the weekend with some soft body contact and co-regulation. \nWhether you’re an experienced cuddle slut or curious about how to cuddle with people you don’t know\, this session will provide some gentle guidance into a cozy cuddle puddle. We’ll double down on the coziness with a quiet storytime from a queer children’s book in which nothing bad ever really happens. \nTo make this a safe and comfortable space for more people\, this event is non-sexual and we want to be careful about the ways in which it will interact with our senses. With this in mind\, please wear soft\, comfortable clothing and refrain from wearing any fragrances. DESCRIPTION:QUEEROPE 2024 is a 5-day virtual conference for mostly shibari/kinbaku/Japanese-inspired bondage that is exclusively for LGBTQIA+ people and womên. \nWe welcome all roles (rigger/tops\, model/bottoms\, switches\, etc.)\, all knowledge levels (beginner\, intermediate\, advanced)\, and all styles to this gathering that aims to bring queer & female-identifying practitioners together to celebrate their love for rope and exchange knowledge and experiences. \n  \nDay Pass: \n50 Euros per day pass. \nA day pass is valid for one person for the entire conference day and includes access to the recordings of the day’s classes for 30 days after the event. \nFor a full conference ticket\, please go here. \n  \n  \nFAQ: \nHow do you define “LGBTQIA+” & “womên”? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, and agender. \nWomên describes people who identify themselves as female in their gender identity. DESCRIPTION:Sometimes suspension is a challenge: the model is heavier than the rigger\, adrenaline is an obstacle to having fun\, the time needed to unlock the lines and go down is scary\, and having so many things to take care of… During this workshop we will show you a way to create the pattern for the suspension you want\, all on the floor and then how to lift it up all at once\, with a homemade pulley that makes the lift lightweight\, eases the way down\, and is very much satisfying! We will use this excuse to have a floor rope session\, with all its fun\, then lock all the lines while still on the ground before lifting it up all at once. DESCRIPTION:Rope is hard. Rope makes our brains think so much. We focus so much on the tie that we forget how to be playful in rope. We get caught up in patterns and structure that we forget about discovery and collaboration. In this class we will learn rope all over again. No rules. Like a preschooler with a box of crayons we are going to color outside the lines. We are going to explore ways to incorporate play back into our rope so that we can connect our partners in the moments. And bottoms we will learn to influence that fun and collaborate with our partners to tie our bodies in new and exciting ways. SUMMARY:Self tying for masturbation
DESCRIPTION:For a lot of us self tyers\, masturbation is a big part of the practice\, but it usually stays hidden. Now it’s time to shed light on the ancient practice of giving yourself a hand. Ceci will share practical ties and tricks they gathered along the way on their 13 year journey of being a horny rope geek. This is a tie-along workshop for the dry run of hot solo ties. Pants stay on and we’re not wanking on camera. \nWe will work with floor ties and semi suspension\, and take a look at genital oriented tying too. If you have access to ropes that can be washed\, this is a great opportunity to get those babies out. For example macrame string can work well for this purpose. \n  \nDetails: \nFormat: tie-along workshop \nMinimum Knowledge Level: You are able to follow along with tying harnesses. For each sold supporter ticket we will add a solidarity ticket to the pot). \nSolidarity ticket: 100 Euros \n  \nFAQ: \nHow do you define “LGBTQIA+” & “womên”? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, and agender. \nWomên describes people who identify themselves as female in their gender identity. People who fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender\, heterosexual womên. \nThe word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the “x” in womxn) that emphasizes that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined. \nI am not LGBTQIA+ and not a womên\, can I still attend? \nNo\, please respect that this particular event is not for you. There are lots of other events you can attend. But Queerope one is solely for people of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum & womên. \nI cannot afford the ticket but would love to join. What do I do? \nSend us a message via info@karada-house.de and we’ll see what we can do. \nWhat platform do you use for the virtual conference? \nWe need to use Zoom as it is the only platform available that is affordable and stable enough for bigger groups. Please make sure you can fulfill the requirements for Zoom from your side to have a satisfactory experience.  We will do our best to make the zoom calls safe by engaging all possible security features. You do not have to turn your camera on and you can use any name you like. \nThe times don’t always work for me / I cannot attend everything I want… \nThat is why we will make recordings available to you\, so you can watch & re-watch them within 30 days. \nIf I share my computer with a person\, is buying one ticket enough? \nNo. You are not paying for the computer access but for the knowledge that the facilitators and artists are distributing. Please respect that knowledge has worth and should be compensated. \nI am all alone at the moment and have no partner. Does it still make sense to participate? \nAbsolutely. There will be a variety of topics and skills and not all of them require a partner. You can learn a lot even just by listening and watching or trying things on yourself. We will also provide knowledge and possibilities for self-tying & suspension and other solo practices.
