SUMMARY:Kink Ethics
DESCRIPTION:  \n“Kink Ethics” is a workshop that encourages participants to develop their thinking about how to practice kink in a way that’s aligned with their values. This reflective and writing-based workshop will move us beyond simplified slogans and assumptions\, and challenge us to articulate — to ourselves and future partners — our ethics and ethical boundaries. \nWe will review some different ways of thinking about kink ethics (from a cultural perspective\, not a hard philosophy one — don’t worry!) and then work through a series of guided writing exercises to help us think about what feels right and wrong in our hearts\, bringing those feelings into alignment with our principles\, and articulating those feelings to others. \n  \nWhat we will do \n– Explore a cultural approach to kink ethics\, reviewing some different frameworks \n– Think about our own ethics\, what assumptions we may be making about what’s good and bad\, and whether we want to articulate those assumptions\, or change them \n– Learn how to incorporate ethics into our negotiations and community participation \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  April 11th\, 2025\, 7 pm-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: knowledge in consent and boundaries and kink play \nWhat to Bring: Writing materials\, an open mind\, any tools that help you regulate \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (everyone needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be made available after the live class for 14 days. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. Communication within the class can be had via chat but also people can come on mic and speak. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance\, i.e. someone reading out the chat\, etc\, please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand.  \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, agender. \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgement to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. We request that we all pro-actively work and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one. For this particular session sex workers are explicitly invited to get a solidarity ticket.

SUMMARY:Constellations of Safety
DESCRIPTION:Constellation work is an interesting tool to discover and work with a powerful mapping technique that allows for surfacing hidden or unconscious dynamics within ourselves and our relationships. This tool made popular by a German psychologist Bert Helliger who appropriated ceremonial and ancestral customs and tools for communicating and relating of the Zulu people in South Africa. \nAnouchK is bringing the practice of constellation work back to its origins. In this experimental sessions\, AnouchK will offer a two hour space to use constellation work as a tool for participants to work with their ideas\, problems\, anxieties and hopes in regards to the idea of SAFETY. \nThe idea of constellations is to bring some order into a structure where there is currently chaos and instead put lightness\, release\, soothing\, understanding. AnouchK’s work aims to be able to help you to access other perspectives that were not accessible because there was not enough distance between the situation and yourself. \nWhat does this look like? \nA minimum of 6 people will work together with AnouchK to do a constellation either around a specific topic one of the participants brings or on the topic of “SAFETY” in general. Together the group will see what comes up and work in a guided group to uncover what is hidden. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: April 11th\, 2025\, 7 pm – 9 pm \nFormat: constellation \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: an open heart and mind\, readiness to try out new stuff \nWhat to Bring: \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome \nTicket: Price is per person \n  \nSafety Concept & Regulation \nPlease consult our safety concept and regulations for this event here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. The garden is only partially accessible at the moment. During the workshop\, we will sit on the floor. Sitting in a chair can also be provided. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand. Being there is enough! \nThis time we will focus especially on: Tying in groups\nThe things you research\, share\, and explore at rope hangout don’t have to be on topic\, it’s merely a source of inspiration. \nNote: This is not a rope jam. It’s a peer learning environment. \n  \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Friends \nTime: April 9th\, 2025\, 7-10 pm \nCost: 5-15 Euros \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: all levels welcome \nWhat to Bring:  yourself\, optionally ropes  (we can also lend you ropes) \nSolo or Partnered:  both work\, this is peer learning so partners are not necessary \n  \nSchedule: \n6.45 pm-7:05 pm: doors open (to ensure a safer space\, we ask you to be on time so everyone can see who is present at the starting circle)\n7:15 pm: starting circle\n7.30 pm – 10:00 pm: peer learning and social hangout\, space is chatty and there is no music \n  \nFormat: \nYour role as a participant is to share your knowledge and to get inspired by other people. The power of the facilitator is over the space and safety\, not over the knowledge shared. \n  \nAre you a newbie? \nWelcome to the hangout! You can attend at any time of your rope journey. To get started with your rope skills\, take a look at our workshop schedule.\nWe recommend that you arrive at the beginning of the night. We have an introduction circle and go through the code of conduct and other important information. You will also see who else is there. SUMMARY:BIPOC Utopias – Kink & Intimacy
DESCRIPTION:This is a separatist space to discuss and lab about kink\, intimacy\, and virtual play space for black\, brown and Indigenous folks. \nFor quite some time\, Caritia has been musing on encouraging and inspiring more BIPOC into the realm of alternative lifestyles and ways of relating. There are many systemic barriers to this\, including patriarchy\, capitalism\, classism and racism. In an effort to change the narrative\, Caritia wishes to offer a monthly gathering of BIPOC to talk\, learn about a topic or practice and support one another through a community that is actively built together\, with the aspiration to gather in person once a year. \nCaritia’s intention is to create a guided\, active space for learning and coming together. This format has the potential to morph and change as the group sees fit. \nThis space is specifically for Afro-diaspora\, South American\, black\, brown\, Indigenous\, and marginalized individuals who are interested in kink and BDSM through the lens of intersectional nuances and transformative justice. This space may not fit for all marginalised demographics\, as it is impossible to cover such diversity in one space. \n  \nWhat we will do: \nApril – What’s new? Questions & Curiosity ask anything time. \nMay – Rope Rope Rope \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  April 6th\, 2025\, 7-8.30pm CET \nFormat: lab (virtual) \nAudience:  BIPOC  \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: All levels welcome \nWhat to Bring: \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: No \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. Communication within the class can be had via chat but also people can come on mic and speak. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance\, i.e. someone reading out the chat\, etc\, please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand. \n  \nWhat else to know \nAfter your successful ticket purchase\, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. \nIf you cannot afford this event\, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices. SUMMARY:Snuggles and Story Time
DESCRIPTION:Let’s slow down together and end the week/welcome the weekend with some soft body contact and co-regulation. \nWhether you’re an experienced cuddle slut or curious about how to cuddle with people you don’t know\, this session will provide some gentle guidance into a cozy cuddle puddle. We’ll double down on the coziness with a quiet storytime from a queer children’s book in which nothing bad ever really happens. \nTo make this a safe and comfortable space for more people\, this event is non-sexual and we want to be careful about the ways in which it will interact with our senses. With this in mind\, please wear soft\, comfortable clothing and refrain from wearing any fragrances. You’ll be asked at the start of the session to remove glasses\, jewelry\, and things from your pockets that might not be comfortable for others to be in sustained contact with. \nHow it works \n• Nerdy chat about cuddling for co-regulation rather than foreplay\n• More nerdy chat about cuddling with people you don’t know\n• Examples of consent in a cuddle puddle\n• Gentle guidance into the cuddle puddle\n• Storytime\n• Cuddling in silence or with soft music\n• Gentle guidance out of the cuddle puddle\n• Optional sharing/integration time \nNote: For this event we ask you to test before you come to the house and bring either the test of a photo as proof. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: April 5th\, 2025\, 7 pm – 10pm \nFormat: literally snuggles \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: You can communicate your desires and boundaries both in negotiation and while snuggling. SUMMARY:Radical Care Club – Peer Support Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Radical Care Club is an open peer support meeting at Karada House. The club is for TLGBQIA+/queer people. Meeting topics for each evening are decided by the group. We will talk about things like: \n– Figuring out your gender and/or sexual identity\, or finding support and resources around those topics\n– How to deal with and take agency in the current political situation locally and globally\n– Support for and advice on handling microagressions and phobic behavior (for example with relatives\, in the work place\, and with government agencies)\n– Being seen\, heard\, validated\, and celebrated for who you are and how you feel \nTopics can be discussed in the whole group or we can divide into pairs/trios to get more speaking time. \n  \nHow it works\n1. Opening circle\, 20 min\n– Code of conduct\n– Round: Name\, pronouns\, how are you feeling\n– Do you have a topic you would like to bring in for conversation? This can be a broader topic like how to handle something political going on\, or it can be specific to you like needing advice or validation on something. \n2. Deciding on a topic(s) for the meeting\, 5-10 min\n– We choose together what we want to discuss. If it’s a big topic\, we will only have time for one. If there’s multiple small topics we can cover 2-3.\n– If the need is to be heard: share in the big group. Others offer validation and empathy.\n– If the need is advice: share in the big group\, then we divide into pairs or trios to think about what can be done (and share similar experiences).\n– If the need is political venting: introduce the topic in the big group\, then divide into pairs or trios to talk about how we feel and find ways of having more agency (even in small ways) \n3. Dividing into pairs/trios for peer support\, sharing\, hearing\, and brainstorming OR staying in the big group for some or all of the time\, 60 min \n4. Round of sharing all together on what came up in the small groups or to summarize conversation in the big group\, 10-20 min \n5. Thank you & goodbye\, 10 min \n  \nWhat else to know\nThis event is aimed at LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS audiences. \nThis is a peer support meeting\, not group therapy. Facilitators do however have experience in first aid for trauma triggers. \nThis is a sober space. Please do not bring any substances to the spaces. \n  \nAccessibility Note\nThe space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. SUMMARY:Cuddles\, Cakes and Kinks
DESCRIPTION:  \nWelcome to Cuddles\, Cakes and Kinks\, your monthly aftercare event to take a break from cisheteropatriarchy\, capitalism\, the burning world\, or life in general. We’re here to rest so we can resist\, to play as an antidote to pressure\, and to let the people eat cake.\nWe are opening our wonderful house for the evening so you can come by\, relax\, and calm down amongst other queer people. There will be hammocks and little areas for cuddling and enjoying touch. Get or give massages. Do some soft\, slow kink. Or hang out in the kitchen with us and just chat. We will be baking a bunch of cakes and there will be coffee\, tea\, and snacks to nourish your bodies and souls.\nLight and slow kink interactions are welcome. Anything that allows you to come back to yourself and into connection with others in a soft and nice way. This is not a play party or sex club\, but a playful community event. The vibe is cozy\, and we don’t do genital play.\nThere is a separate cuddle room that is completely free from any kind of play\, horny vibes\, and nudity. It’s for cuddles\, naps\, quiet conversation\, maybe reading a book. \nWhat does LIGHT and SLOW mean? \nIt means calming things down\, doing them slowly and intentionally\, with consent and good boundaries in place. It means being in community with intention\, not just intensity. It means playing in a space that is semi-private but shared. It means enjoying the energy of others being in the same space and seeking flow with each other across the room.\nWe are open and happy about what you bring as long as you do not dominate the entire room with the noise\, space you need\, or vibe. This is a shared experience so please read the room and give others space as well.\nImagine you’re doing kink for the first time – things are moving slow and shy. Maybe a spank there\, a pull of the hair there\, a bit of giggling\, a soft smooch on the lips\, a drip off a candle\, a bite on the neck\, playing cats for a while\, wrists that are tied\, a teasing run of rope across the chest.\nIf you want it wild\, hard\, and horny\, come to Wild Unicorns instead!\nDue to hygiene\, trigger potential\, and the vibe of the event\, we do not allow: \n– sideline wanking\n– full nudity outside the play area (big room)\n– blood\, pee\, scat play\n– knife play\, needle play\n– uniforms and/or role play that includes institutional power dynamics (i.e. school\, military\, police\, bürgeramt…) \nDress code \nSoft and cozy (onesies\, lounge wear\, leggings\, pajamas\, flower dresses\, hoodies…) or if you’re in the mood to dress up\, you can flag queer like you’re going to pride (fabulous outfits\, jeans shorts with pocket kerchiefs\, leather daddies\, muscle mommies\, rainbow makeup…) \nWhat’s the space like? \nkitchen and hang-out area with cake\, snacks\, tea\, coffee\, stim toys\, and an introvert’s corner.\nlarge room with mats\, cushions\, blankets\, suspension points\, hammocks\, and nice music.\nmezzanine with a massage table\, floor massage spot\, and massage oil.\ncuddle space with soft mattresses\, pillows\, blankets\, dim lights\, and soft music.\nquiet garden in the summer for touching grass and enjoying the breeze. \nHow it works \nThe door opens at 5:00 pm and stays open until 7:00 pm (sharp).\nYou will need to purchase a ticket upfront as space is limited.\nAt 5:30 pm we will give an introduction to people who are new to the space and want to meet others. If you come later\, you will still go through an introduction to the rules\, space\, and event at arrival.\nYou can then choose your space and mode (talk\, cuddle\, sleep\, eat cake\, light play) and enjoy yourself. \nWhat to bring \nYourself and maybe things you like to share with others.\nPlease bring a blanket or towel to put on the yoga mats we provide. \nWhat else to know \nThis event is aimed at LGBTQIA+ audiences.\nThis space is a sober space. Please do not bring any substances to the spaces or enter the space under the influence.\nNudity is welcome in the play area.\nBathrooms and showers are available. \nRules of Engagement \n\nCuddles\, cakes and kinks is a playful community event for LGBTQIA+ people. This is not a play party or sex club. We are here to connect and rest. You can cuddle\, chat\, read a book\, eat cake\, do some light and slow BDSM\, exchange massages\, or even make out. The dress code is soft and cozy or flagging queer.\nLight and slow means that you are mindful of how loud you are\, how much space you take\, and try to be in harmony with the rest of the room. Think cozy\, consensual and cute\, not intense and overwhelming.\nThis is a sober event. Please do not bring any substances to the space or enter under the influence.\nThe play space is for light and slow kink play. If you want to watch\, sit on one of the seats. You can be nude in the designated areas if you keep a towel under your butt. No sideline wanking\, scat\, piss\, sharps\, or uniforms/roleplay based on institutional power. Disinfect your spot after using\, and bring textiles to wash if you got bodily fluids on them (like sweaty butt or drool).\nThe mezzanine in the play space is for massage. Wipe off hands and feet afterwards if you use oil\, and bring socks to wear.\nThe cuddle space (back room or garden terrace) is for cuddles\, naps\, and light conversation. No nudity\, play\, or horny vibes. Ask before joining the cuddle puddle.\nThe kitchen area is for eating cake\, drinking tea\, and chatting. It’s free from play and nudity. Ask the space holders if you want a coffee. Ask us if you need sugar or gluten free options. We appreciate donations for the buffet. There’s a stim toy box.\nThe mezzanine in the kitchen is for retreating and resting\, leave people alone if they are up there.\nSmoking only in the smoking area in the garden\, next to the gate.\nBe soft and slow\, respect others and give them space. Collaborate in creating a safe and gentle mood. You get gratitude and imaginary points for helping us clean the space afterwards.\n\nAccessibility Note \nThe space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. SUMMARY:Open Rope Training (Intermediate): Love is in the Air
DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly intermediate open rope training is directed at building on what has been taught in the Beginner Open Rope Training. \nPlease note that the classes will be taught in different styles from this level onwards.  \nWe start the class intuitively by following individual impulses with rope. After that\, the main part of the evening we focus on the systematic management of rope\, body handling\, and safety principles: knots\, wrapping\, and aesthetic frictions. The material contains a wide range of harnesses for floor work and simple semi-suspension. It is strongly inspired by the shibari works of Japanese artists Dasniya learned from over the last fifteen years. There is time to switch roles to better understand restriction from both the perspectives of the person tying and the person getting tied so you can experience anything from sexy phantasies and meditative ties. \n  \nTopic of Exploration: Love is in the Air \nIn this workshop we will explore a sustainable hip harness (by Kasumi Horai) for airial play. There are multiple directions this harness can take: a swing- based structure for spread leg interaction. Or falling from verticality to head down suspension. We will start easily by learning the technique\, and giving partners a sense of a dreaming/resting marionette. \n  \nTeacher: Dasniya Sommer \nStyle: Dasniya’s basic rope style orientates strongly towards Japanese Kinbaku artists: Akira Naka and Kasumi Horai– whom she attended workshops with in Europe and Japan. Other inspirations are found in the work of Norio Sugiura\, and the legacy of Nureki Chimuo\, who can be considered the protagonists of this ‘school/their era’. The tying system is often considered to be an advanced technique. But with regular practice\, attention to detail\, and to safety an adapted version for European bodies and perspectives can be taught from scratch. It combines a mix of basic shapes\, improvising principles and it trains a sensitive intuition for consequent restriction. \nDasniya’s personal tying is also informed by her longtime dance training and Buddhist background. Rigging from the perspective of the moving body\, and mindful listening to impulses and resonance often create a meditative vibe to get high on ropes. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  March 25th\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: single-/double column tie\, basic frictions\, you need to be able to tie a box tie /TK\, simple up-lines \nWhat to Bring: comfortable clothes that are more tight fitting if possible\, a set of 8 of your own ropes\, safety equipment \nSolo or Partnered:  preferably partnered but you can also partner up in the class with other solo people or tie yourself (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros per person \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. SUMMARY:Playfight & Rough Body Play Lab
DESCRIPTION:Use your body in a vastly different way. Restricted\, restrained\, maybe even tamed – our bodies are subdued to very strict rules and movements in our daily lives. Time to get primal and rough. Rough body play allows for more fighting\, emotions\, and a deeper exploration of power dynamics than play fights. \nOnce a month we open Karada House for 2 hours of randori (free fights) time to try your new skills and have fun. Our amazing instructor Montse will guide through \n• warm-up exercises \n• consent & safety \n• dos & don’ts \nAfter that – fight! \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every third Wednesday of the month\, 7-9pm \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Womên \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: you need to know your body\, its boundaries\, and needs in terms of health and safety \nWhat to Bring: comfortable\, sport clothes that are more tight fitting if possible \nSolo or Partnered:  solo\, partnered\, in a group (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender\, heterosexual womên. \nThe word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the “x” in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.
