SUMMARY:Pain is Inevitable\, Suffering is Optional: Techniques for Erotic Pain Processing
DESCRIPTION:Each of us processes pain and intense sensations in different ways. Some of us scream\, some go silent\, and some laugh with glee. Some focus on the connection we have with our partners and go stoic\, while others dance\, writhe\, and squirm to let the pain come out through movement. \nFrom distracting ourselves with other thoughts or body inputs\, to breathing techniques we each enter altered states differently. The same is the case for transforming what individuals and society call “pain” into passion\, fugue states\, or delight. In this workshop\, we will discuss how different individuals process pain and how to increase your own effectiveness in transmuting pain into pleasure\, suffering\, or erotic connection. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  May 2nd\, 2025\, 8 pm – 10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop \nMinimum Knowledge Level: – \nWhat to Bring: ideas\, questions\, partners\, ways to keep notes \nSolo or Partnered: any constellation works \nClass recording: Yes. This class will be recorded (only the facilitator\, not the participants) and is available for ticket holders for 14 days after the event. \n  \nWhat we will teach \n– Develop a new understanding of what “pain” can mean to different people\n– Decide what they want to transmute pain into\n– Increase your “toolbox” of different approaches to altering your state of consciousness during intense sensations\n– Pick up tools for increasing the sensations experienced in scenes\, as well as decreasing it\n– Hear various stories from the instructor and fellow students on their relationship with erotic pain \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. Communication within the class can be had via chat but also people can come on mic and speak. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance\, i.e. someone reading out the chat\, etc\, please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand. \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, agender. \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgement to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. We request that we all pro-actively work and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people. \nIf you cannot afford the ticket price (even the solidarity price)\, please send us a message. We will find a way.

SUMMARY:Snuggles and Story Time
DESCRIPTION:Let’s slow down together and end the week/welcome the weekend with some soft body contact and co-regulation. \nWhether you’re an experienced cuddle slut or curious about how to cuddle with people you don’t know\, this session will provide some gentle guidance into a cozy cuddle puddle. We’ll double down on the coziness with a quiet storytime from a queer children’s book in which nothing bad ever really happens. \nTo make this a safe and comfortable space for more people\, this event is non-sexual and we want to be careful about the ways in which it will interact with our senses. With this in mind\, please wear soft\, comfortable clothing and refrain from wearing any fragrances. You’ll be asked at the start of the session to remove glasses\, jewelry\, and things from your pockets that might not be comfortable for others to be in sustained contact with. \nHow it works \n• Nerdy chat about cuddling for co-regulation rather than foreplay\n• More nerdy chat about cuddling with people you don’t know\n• Examples of consent in a cuddle puddle\n• Gentle guidance into the cuddle puddle\n• Storytime\n• Cuddling in silence or with soft music\n• Gentle guidance out of the cuddle puddle\n• Optional sharing/integration time \nNote: For this event we ask you to test before you come to the house and bring either the test of a photo as proof. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: May 2nd\, 2025\, 7 pm – 10pm \nFormat: literally snuggles \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: You can communicate your desires and boundaries both in negotiation and while snuggling. You are sensitive and respectful of other peoples’ boundaries. \nWhat to Bring: super comfy clothes \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome \nTicket: Price is per person \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe snuggle space is held in spoken English. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. The garden is only partially accessible at the moment. During the play party\, we will sit on the floor. Sitting in a chair can also be provided. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand. \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \nNote: For this event we ask you to test before you come to the house and bring either the test of a photo as proof. \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Transitions for Semenawa
DESCRIPTION:A transition is the movement from one position to another. It can be done gradually or abruptly\, depending on the intention behind it and what we want to communicate to the person being tied. Transitions are often linked to dynamic tying styles but are less commonly associated with semenawa (torment rope). In semenawa\, the person tying creates both physical and psychological torment to push their partner out of their comfort zone. \nIn this online class\, we will explore a suspension sequence and learn how to tie and adjust it to match the energy and intention we want to express. We’ll also look at how transitions can be used as an effective tool for torment in a session (muahahaha). \nAdditionally\, we’ll discuss the concept of letting go for rope bottoms. What do we need to fully trust our rigger in moments of torment? How does their behavior influence our ability to surrender to our reactions and emotions? \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  May 1st\, 2005\, 7 pm- 9 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: intermediate to advanced suspension skills. You should be able to tie basic static suspensions and be exploring transitions. Your uplines should be quick\, smooth\, and safe\, and should be able to tweak things to suit the person in ropes. The dynamic between the tying pair should be collaborative and supportive with a sense of humour\nand adventure. \nWhat to Bring:  You can bring your ropes and safety equipment if you’d like to tie at the same time\, but to get the most out of the class\, Bänana would recommend observing the proposed sequence first. Then\, take advantage of the Q&A time to fully understand all the details. You’ll always have the opportunity to experiment with the sequence after the class! \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be made available after the last live class for 14 days after the end of the entire series (so there is time!) \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. SUMMARY:Poetics of Rope Bondage
DESCRIPTION:Poetics of rope bondage takes the participants on a journey through the contexts of tying and how we can use them to improve our tying as well as our understanding of tying. In a narrative\, specifically created by Barkas for a new pedagogy of rope\, concepts like aesthetics\, patterns\, suspensions\, and floorwork are deconstructed through exercises that convey ideas rather than recipes. \nContents include: \n– “The city of Kinbaku” and why tourist attractions are distracting\n– Technology vs Science. Why it’s not the pattern’s fault if it’s boring\n– Textbooks vs poetry. Why you’ll never understand your partner. \n  \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: April 30th\, 2025\, 7 pm-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English with a lovely Austrian accent \nKnowledge level: single-column tie and basic understanding of some upper body ties \nWhat to bring: ropes if you want to tie along \nSolo or partnered: all constellations welcome\, everyone needs to buy a ticket \nClass recording: yes\, will be available for 14 days to the participants of the conference \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, \nFriends describe people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgment to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. SUMMARY:Rope Study with Dasniya : Suspension for Intimacy Play
DESCRIPTION:A monthly exploration of technique\, aesthetics\, and embodied experience in rope \nJoin us for our monthly Rope Study with Dasniya\, an intermediate level rope study session that blends intuitive movement\, systematic rope management\, and deepened awareness of body handling and safety. Throughout the session\, participants will have the opportunity to switch roles between tying and being tied—gaining a fuller understanding of restriction from both perspectives. Whether you are drawn to meditative ties\, sensual exploration\, or technical precision\, this class offers a space to experience rope with curiosity and care. \n  \nThis Month’s Exploration: Suspension for Intimacy Play\n  \nIn this intermediate technique class\, we will explore the M-shape half-/suspension using a comfortable and sustainable hip harness. The open-legged position can allow for sex play but also transitions seamlessly into a hands-free hammock or an inverted posture\, depending on individual experience levels. We will also cover different lock-off techniques for uplines\, all with a sensual and patient mindset. \n  \nDasniya’s Rope Style\n  \nDasniya’s approach to rope is deeply influenced by the Japanese Kinbaku masters Akira Naka and Kasumi Hourai\, with whom she studied in both Europe and Japan. Further inspiration comes from the photographic work of Norio Sugiura and the legacy of Nureki Chimuo\, key figures in shaping this style. \nWhile this tying system is often regarded as advanced\, it can be adapted and taught from the ground up with regular practice\, attention to detail\, and a strong focus on safety. The method combines structured forms\, improvisational principles\, and a sensitivity to restriction\, allowing practitioners to refine their technique while developing intuitive flow. \nDasniya’s personal approach is also shaped by her dance training and Buddhist background. She views rigging through the lens of movement\, listening mindfully to impulses and resonance\, often creating a meditative and euphoric experience in rope. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  April 29th\, 2025\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on rope lab \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: single-/double column tie\, basic frictions\, you need to be able to tie a box tie /TK\, simple up-lines \nWhat to Bring: comfortable clothes that are more tight fitting if possible\, a set of 8 of your own ropes\, safety equipment \nSolo or Partnered:  preferably partnered but you can also partner up in the class with other solo people or tie yourself (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros per person \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier so we can process your ticket and welcome you. Once the class has started we do not allow entry. You cannot transfer your ticket to another week. If you are not sure you can come\, please purchase your ticket on the day as soon as you are absolutely sure you can make it. \nIf you know you will come to our open training or rope study more than just once\, please ask for our discount card! SUMMARY:Playfight & Rough Body Play Lab
DESCRIPTION:Use your body in a vastly different way. Restricted\, restrained\, maybe even tamed – our bodies are subdued to very strict rules and movements in our daily lives. Time to get primal and rough. Rough body play allows for more fighting\, emotions\, and a deeper exploration of power dynamics than play fights. \nOnce a month we open Karada House for 2 hours of randori (free fights) time to try your new skills and have fun. Our amazing instructor Montse will guide through \n• warm-up exercises \n• consent & safety \n• dos & don’ts \nAfter that – fight! \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every third Wednesday of the month\, 7-9pm \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Womên \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: you need to know your body\, its boundaries\, and needs in terms of health and safety \nWhat to Bring: comfortable\, sport clothes that are more tight fitting if possible \nSolo or Partnered:  solo\, partnered\, in a group (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender\, heterosexual womên. \nThe word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the “x” in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Hishi Harnesses are Forever
DESCRIPTION:Hishis are a diamond pattern that is not only one of the staples of Japanese-inspired rope bondage but also one of the most versatile patterns. Addie will take a long and nerdy look at several hishi-based harnesses\, including a hands-free option. \nThe series will include a full-body hishi harness\, a split line hishi harness\, and the infamous Nambu TK which is great for transitions and can be pulled from multiple points. \nThe details and mechanics of technical suspension are Addie’s specialty and passion. Over the past 6 years\, she has amassed a wide\, varied repertoire of suspension experience\, with a heavy emphasis on tying different people with different preferences and adapting ties to people rather than the other way around. Pre-pandemic\, she taught TheSpace’s Techie Tuesdays\, a weekly series that focused on how and why ties work the way they do\, helping participants to build a working\, functional knowledge of tying for suspension. \n  \nTech Dump Part I: Intro to Hishis and first patterns (April 13th\, 2025\,  7-10 pm CET) \nTech Dump Part II: Diving deeper into more complex patterns & harnesses (April 26th\, 2025\, 7-10 pm CET)  \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  April 13 & April 26th\, 2025\, 7 pm-10 pm CET \nFormat: workshop (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: single column tie\, double column tie & it is highly recommended that participants take the TK-ish Tech Dump before the Suspension Tech Dump(s) to ensure that we are all working from the same starting point. \nThere is no previous suspension experience required to participate\, and each suspension will be shown with levels of difficulty to offer information\, challenge\, and accomplishment for participants with any level of previous experience. Throughout\, there will be tips\, tricks\, and suggestions for those who are tied. There will also be time for tying practice\, and many (though not all) elements can be modified for those who like to self-tie. \nFor those tying: No previous suspension knowledge is necessary\, especially for the early sessions. Those who are new to TK-ish structures are also welcome to participate but should take the TK session first\, and be willing to stick to the more basic versions/variations of ties. For the suspension classes\, a good goal for tying participants is to be able to tie a suspension-worthy upper body tie smoothly\, a non-collapsing single-column tie on the first try\, and to open\, move\, and re-lock a suspension line without fumbling or cussing. \nFor those being tied: I recommend having some previous experience in rope so that those being tied have a frame of reference and can make more informed decisions. This does not have to include suspension experience. Likewise\, there are no pre-requisites for flexibility\, fitness\, lack of injuries\, etc; one of the goals of the series is to tie for the differences in how individuals work\, to use that individuality to the best advantage. In Addie’s experience\, the pairs who have the most success in workshops are generally those who can laugh together and who approach challenges as a team. \nIf you have any questions about those guidelines\, please contact Addie (addietahl@gmail.com). \nWhat to Bring: ropes (the techniques covered work well for natural fiber rope\, and synthetic will behave differently. This series is not suited to tying with synthetic rope)\, a partner\, suspension point if you want to tie along \nSolo or Partnered:  both (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be made available after the live class for 14 days. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. SUMMARY:Finding Balance
DESCRIPTION:Shibari is a world of contradictions; fulfilling the needs of the bottom when engaging in a power dynamic as a top\, playing with risk whilst also striving for safety\, and even exploring the kindness within cruelty. Problems often arise when an imbalance occurs such as: playing too dangerously and you run the risk of permanent harm\, yet playing too safe and left underwhelmed\, or focusing too much on the needs of your partner that you lose touch with your own desires. Finding acceptance of these contradictions\, and finding the sweet spot in between is where the fun really begins. \nIn my approach to practicing Shibari\, I believe good rope comes from a careful balance of attention between the aesthetics\, safety and play. It is natural to prioritise one of these criteria more than others\, but striving to find a balance between these all is what drives me and constantly challenges me to improve my rope and give my partner an all encompassing experience. \nIn this 2 day workshop we will be exploring balance in the different aspects of Shibari; the physical application\, communication\, aesthetics and also in how we choose to approach our own practice within this diverse culture. Through exercises with rope\, exercises without rope\, group discussions and demonstrations these two days will be a comprehensive introduction to my style and approach to Shibari. \nWhat topics will be covered \n– The artistic and erotic\n– Meeting the needs of both the one tied and the one tying\n– Aesthetics and Safety\n– The Physical and Emotional experience\n– Harmonious Compositions\n– Heritage and Innovation in the world of Shibari\n– Practice and Play\n– Mitigating risks when exploring limits\n– Combining soft and hard skills\n– distributing weight \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: April 12 & 13\, 2025\, 10 am – 6.30 pm \nFormat: Workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level:  \n– writing material for notes (preferably not with a phone)\n–  at least a year of experience practicing Shibari\,\n–  prior experience with uplines for either partials and/or suspension (both models and riggers)\n– Comfortable with exploring semenawa\, sadism and edge play\n \nWhat to Bring:  \n– Come with a partner who shares your curiosity and can treat this workshop as a shared experience of exploration from both sides of rope\n– Honesty and self awareness towards your skill level and experience and limitations\n– No switching is allowed. SUMMARY:Kink Ethics
DESCRIPTION:  \n“Kink Ethics” is a workshop that encourages participants to develop their thinking about how to practice kink in a way that’s aligned with their values. This reflective and writing-based workshop will move us beyond simplified slogans and assumptions\, and challenge us to articulate — to ourselves and future partners — our ethics and ethical boundaries. \nWe will review some different ways of thinking about kink ethics (from a cultural perspective\, not a hard philosophy one — don’t worry!) and then work through a series of guided writing exercises to help us think about what feels right and wrong in our hearts\, bringing those feelings into alignment with our principles\, and articulating those feelings to others. \n  \nWhat we will do \n– Explore a cultural approach to kink ethics\, reviewing some different frameworks \n– Think about our own ethics\, what assumptions we may be making about what’s good and bad\, and whether we want to articulate those assumptions\, or change them \n– Learn how to incorporate ethics into our negotiations and community participation \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  April 11th\, 2025\, 7 pm-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: knowledge in consent and boundaries and kink play \nWhat to Bring: Writing materials\, an open mind\, any tools that help you regulate \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (everyone needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes. SUMMARY:Constellations of Safety
DESCRIPTION:Constellation work is an interesting tool to discover and work with a powerful mapping technique that allows for surfacing hidden or unconscious dynamics within ourselves and our relationships. This tool made popular by a German psychologist Bert Helliger who appropriated ceremonial and ancestral customs and tools for communicating and relating of the Zulu people in South Africa. \nAnouchK is bringing the practice of constellation work back to its origins. In this experimental sessions\, AnouchK will offer a two hour space to use constellation work as a tool for participants to work with their ideas\, problems\, anxieties and hopes in regards to the idea of SAFETY. \nThe idea of constellations is to bring some order into a structure where there is currently chaos and instead put lightness\, release\, soothing\, understanding. AnouchK’s work aims to be able to help you to access other perspectives that were not accessible because there was not enough distance between the situation and yourself. \nWhat does this look like? \nA minimum of 6 people will work together with AnouchK to do a constellation either around a specific topic one of the participants brings or on the topic of “SAFETY” in general. Together the group will see what comes up and work in a guided group to uncover what is hidden. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: April 11th\, 2025\, 7 pm – 9 pm \nFormat: constellation \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: an open heart and mind\, readiness to try out new stuff \nWhat to Bring: \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome \nTicket: Price is per person \n  \nSafety Concept & Regulation \nPlease consult our safety concept and regulations for this event here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender-straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. We request that we all proactively work and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.
