But most importantly\, we will get to know each other. And we will help you find cool people to hang out and/or tie with and hopefully create a space in which you feel heard\, seen\, and taken care of. \nFormat: welcome session \nMinimum knowledge level: You need to know a little bit about who you are and what you want \nMaximum amount of participants: No \nWhat to bring: your brain\, your body \nConstellations: all constellations welcome \nAccessibility: We will sit on the floor but there are also more accessible options

SUMMARY:Playfight & Rough Body Play Lab
DESCRIPTION:Use your body in a vastly different way. Restricted\, restrained\, maybe even tamed – our bodies are subdued to very strict rules and movements in our daily lives. Time to get primal and rough. Rough body play allows for more fighting\, emotions\, and a deeper exploration of power dynamics than play fights. \nOnce a month we open Karada House for 2 hours of randori (free fights) time to try your new skills and have fun. Our amazing instructor Montse will guide through \n• warm-up exercises \n• consent & safety \n• dos & don’ts \nAfter that – fight! \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every third Wednesday of the month\, 7-9pm \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Womên \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: you need to know your body\, its boundaries\, and needs in terms of health and safety \nWhat to Bring: comfortable\, sport clothes that are more tight fitting if possible \nSolo or Partnered:  solo\, partnered\, in a group (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. The garden is only partially accessible at the moment. During the workshop\, we will sit on the floor. Sitting in a chair can also be provided. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand.  \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, \nWomên describes people who are identifying themselves as female in their gender identity. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender\, heterosexual womên. \nThe word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the “x” in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Radical Care Club – Peer Support Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Radical Care Club is an open peer support meeting at Karada House. The club is for TLGBQIA+/queer people. Meeting topics for each evening are decided by the group. We will talk about things like: \n– Figuring out your gender and/or sexual identity\, or finding support and resources around those topics\n– How to deal with and take agency in the current political situation locally and globally\n– Support for and advice on handling microagressions and phobic behavior (for example with relatives\, in the work place\, and with government agencies)\n– Being seen\, heard\, validated\, and celebrated for who you are and how you feel \nTopics can be discussed in the whole group or we can divide into pairs/trios to get more speaking time. \n  \nHow it works\n1. Opening circle\, 20 min\n– Code of conduct\n– Round: Name\, pronouns\, how are you feeling\n– Do you have a topic you would like to bring in for conversation? This can be a broader topic like how to handle something political going on\, or it can be specific to you like needing advice or validation on something. \n2. Deciding on a topic(s) for the meeting\, 5-10 min\n– We choose together what we want to discuss. If it’s a big topic\, we will only have time for one. If there’s multiple small topics we can cover 2-3.\n– If the need is to be heard: share in the big group. Others offer validation and empathy.\n– If the need is advice: share in the big group\, then we divide into pairs or trios to think about what can be done (and share similar experiences).\n– If the need is political venting: introduce the topic in the big group\, then divide into pairs or trios to talk about how we feel and find ways of having more agency (even in small ways) \n3. Dividing into pairs/trios for peer support\, sharing\, hearing\, and brainstorming OR staying in the big group for some or all of the time\, 60 min \n4. Round of sharing all together on what came up in the small groups or to summarize conversation in the big group\, 10-20 min \n5. Thank you & goodbye\, 10 min \n  \nWhat else to know\nThis event is aimed at LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS audiences. \nThis is a peer support meeting\, not group therapy. Facilitators do however have experience in first aid for trauma triggers. \nThis is a sober space. Please do not bring any substances to the spaces. \n  \nAccessibility Note\nThe space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. SUMMARY:Open Rope Training for Beginners: Elements of Connection & Communication
DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly open training is designed for anyone who would like to learn about Japanese-inspired rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku whether you see yourself in the role of the person tying or being tied. \nOur open rope training for beginners is a continuous offer for anyone looking for a regular practice space to advance their skills. Each time we will offer a teaching on one particular topic. Depending on your skill level and how quickly you can pick up on things\, you can then either use the remaining open-space time to practice this one new skill in your own time or you can up the ante with the help of your teacher. You can also choose to train your own skills on another topic if you like and have a teacher give you feedback and help you improve. \n  \nTopic of the week: Elements of Connection & Communication \nConnection and communication in rope bondage isn’t rocket science\, but built on very concrete skills and concepts. Join this open training to learn about how to use rhythm\, proximity and intensity for impactful rope play. \n  \nTeacher of the week: Renée de Sans \nRenés teaching approach is strongly influenced by her belief that in order to understand how to tie\, one should not forget the person that one ties with. She does not follow a certain technical school of tying and is constantly searching for a deeper understanding of how to move somebody physically and emotionally through the use of ropes. \n  \nYou can come alone or with a partner. You can tie yourself or your partner. Alternatively\, you can partner up with another participant. \nYou can but do not need to bring any ropes as we will provide workshop ropes for you. \nYou can also spontaneously come by on the day and purchase a ticket online right up to the beginning of the class if there is space left. \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier so we can process your ticket and welcome you. Once the class has started we do not allow entry. You cannot transfer your ticket to another week. If you are not sure you can come\, please purchase your ticket on the day as soon as you are absolutely sure you can make it. \nIf you know you will come to the open training more than just once\, please ask for our discount card! (For every 5 classes\, the 6th class is on us!) \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every other Tuesday\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: you have knowledge on the topics of rope safety\, consent\, and boundaries\, you have been to our “Rope for Absolute Beginners” class at  or have solid knowledge of single & double-column ties\, wrapping\, tension & counter tension \nWhat to Bring: comfortable clothes that are more tight fitting if possible\, 1-3 of your own ropes (we can also provide ropes for you) \nSolo or Partnered:  solo\, partnered\, in a group (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros \n  \nWhat happens next? \nThe Open Rope Training for Beginners is an ongoing course designed to run approx. 8 months with constantly new topics. Within this ongoing course you can work on a lower as well as higher knowledge level. We really recommend not rushing things and really settling into coming to this open training on a long-term basis. If you feel like you are too advanced\, please talk to your teacher(s) about switching to the “Open Rope Training – Next Level” next. \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. German can also be provided. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand.  \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, \nFriends describe people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgment to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender-straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. We request that we all proactively work and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people. \n  \nWhat else to know \nBefore purchasing a solidarity ticket\, please check here if you are eligible for one.

SUMMARY:Ropes and Sex with Barkas & Addie
DESCRIPTION:  \nBarkas and Addie usually teach with the goal of separating the practice of rope from inherent expectations or assumptions of sexual contact. But that does not mean that they do not practice and enjoy sexual rope as well! \nThis 3-part-workshop-series will focus on rope techniques for sex and ideas on how to sexualize ropes. We will not only look at ways of queering approaches to rope and sex (however you define and practice it) but also engage in a deconstruction of sex\, sexuality\, intimacy\, and eroticism in the context of ropes. \nContent warning: this series is explicit. \n  \nPart I: DECONSTRUCTION\nMay 14th\, 2025\, 7-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \n  \nPart II: ROPE BASICS FOR SEX LIKE EVERYONE IMAGINES SEX\nMay 21st\, 2025\, 7-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \n  \nPart III: QUEERING SEX AND ROPE\nMay 28th\, 2025\, 7-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \n  \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: May 14th & 21st\, & 28th\, 2025\, 7 pm-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: Single column tie. Basic frictions. \nWhat to Bring:  if you want to tie along you need ropes\, safety gear\, space\, a partner and skills for thorough negotiation \nSolo or Partnered:  both (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be made available after the live class for 14 days \n  \nWho is this event for? \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. You can hang out\, have coffee\, tea\, or soft drinks and chat with people if you don’t feel like tying. Being there is enough! \nThis time we will focus especially on: Tying to furniture and objects\nThe things you research\, share\, and explore at rope hangout don’t have to be on topic\, it’s merely a source of inspiration. \nNote: This is not a rope jam. It’s a peer learning environment. \n  \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Friends \nTime: May 14th\, 2025\, 7-10 pm \nCost: 5-15 Euros \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: all levels welcome \nWhat to Bring:  yourself\, optionally ropes  (we can also lend you ropes) \nSolo or Partnered:  both work\, this is peer learning so partners are not necessary \n  \nSchedule: \n6.45 pm-7:05 pm: doors open (to ensure a safer space\, we ask you to be on time so everyone can see who is present at the starting circle)\n7:15 pm: starting circle\n7.30 pm – 10:00 pm: peer learning and social hangout\, space is chatty and there is no music \n  \nFormat: \nYour role as a participant is to share your knowledge and to get inspired by other people. The power of the facilitator is over the space and safety\, not over the knowledge shared. \n  \nAre you a newbie? \nWelcome to the hangout! You can attend at any time of your rope journey. We recommend sharing what you know with others even if you just began to tie. Teaching is the best way to learn! To get started with your rope skills\, take a look at our workshop schedule.\nWe recommend that you arrive at the beginning of the night. We have an introduction circle and go through the code of conduct and other important information. You will also see who else is there. If you can’t make it to the starting circle\, please contact us in advance.\nYou can always attend Rope Hangout alone and find new friends when you get there. SUMMARY:Rope Predicament Series
DESCRIPTION:  \nReady to willingly dip your toes into challenge\, anticipation and dilemma? This series will introduce you to two very different styles of predicaments taught by the queen of fun assholery herself: Sophia Rose. \nPart I: Playful Predicaments (May 13th\, 2025\, 7-9pm) \nPlayful predicaments are designed to keep one guessing (and choosing) in frustratingly fun ways. Using rope and other kinky tools\, simple concepts of predicament play will be explained and demonstrated along with more complex scenarios to inspire your own creativity as well as exploring predicaments that focus on pain or discomfort\, we will also look at ideas which play with exposure\, balance\, and pleasure – predicaments for different moods. \nPart II: WTF was that: (not so) playful predicaments… (May 29th\, 2025\, 7-9pm) \nReady to take predicament play to the next level? This session moves beyond playful discomfort to explore the more bizarre\, creative\, and the downright “WTF is that?!”. SUMMARY:Open Rope Training (Intermediate): Side suspension
DESCRIPTION:This monthly intermediate open rope training is directed at building on what has been taught in the Beginner Open Rope Training. \nTopic of Exploration: Side suspension \nIn this open rope training we will explore how to create a side suspension. This shape is relatively approachable for suspension beginners and is easily modified for different abilities and body types. We will work with upper body harnesses you already know (for example a TK or arms front harness suitable for suspension)\, and Ceci will teach you how to support the lower body. You can stay in semi suspension or get fully into the air. \nStyle: Ceci’s tying is best described as fusion-style with a deep understanding of different schools of Japanese rope bondage. They are a specialist in modifying harnesses to different body shapes\, sizes\, compositions\, and abilities. Ceci is driven by understanding why people tie the way they tie\, and loves to deconstruct technique and communication into their basic elements to understand them better. In suspension\, Ceci prefers working low\, staying connected\, and moving through transitions. \n  \nEvent Details\nDate & Time:  every 2nd Tuesday of the month\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin)\nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: single-/double column tie\, basic frictions\, you need to be able to tie an upper body harness\, simple up-lines \nWhat to Bring: comfortable clothes that are more tight fitting if possible\, a set of 8 of your own ropes\, safety equipment \nSolo or Partnered:  preferably partnered but you can also partner up in the class with other solo people or tie yourself (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros per person \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier so we can process your ticket and welcome you. Once the class has started we do not allow entry. You cannot transfer your ticket to another week. SUMMARY:Open Rope Training for Beginners: Basic Structures and Modular Thinking
\n  \nTopic of the week: Basic Structures and Modular Thinking \nApproximately 90 % of rope bondage patterns are based on the same basic structures. Join this open training for an introduction to understanding the modules on which a lot of patterns are built. You will leave with a greater understanding of the “why” behind rope technique as well as the ability to more easily improvise well built patterns.. \n  \nTeacher of the week: Ceci \nCeci teaches bondage from top\, bottom and switch perspectives with the intention of creating safer spaces to communicate through rope. They focus on curiosity\, play\, fun and the courage to learn from failure. Ceci likes to deconstruct technique and communication into their basic elements to understand them better. \n  \nYou can come alone or with a partner. You can tie yourself or your partner. SUMMARY:BIPOC Utopias – Kink & Intimacy
DESCRIPTION:This is a separatist space to discuss and lab about kink\, intimacy\, and virtual play space for black\, brown and Indigenous folks. \nFor quite some time\, Caritia has been musing on encouraging and inspiring more BIPOC into the realm of alternative lifestyles and ways of relating. There are many systemic barriers to this\, including patriarchy\, capitalism\, classism and racism. In an effort to change the narrative\, Caritia wishes to offer a monthly gathering of BIPOC to talk\, learn about a topic or practice and support one another through a community that is actively built together\, with the aspiration to gather in person once a year. \nCaritia’s intention is to create a guided\, active space for learning and coming together. This format has the potential to morph and change as the group sees fit. \nThis space is specifically for Afro-diaspora\, South American\, black\, brown\, Indigenous\, and marginalized individuals who are interested in kink and BDSM through the lens of intersectional nuances and transformative justice. This space may not fit for all marginalised demographics\, as it is impossible to cover such diversity in one space. \n  \nWhat we will do: \nMay – Rope Rope Rope \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  May 4th\, 2025\, 7-8.30pm CET \nFormat: lab (virtual) \nAudience:  BIPOC  \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: All levels welcome \nWhat to Bring: \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: No \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. SUMMARY:Cuddles\, Cakes and Kinks
DESCRIPTION:  \nWelcome to Cuddles\, Cakes and Kinks\, your monthly aftercare event to take a break from cisheteropatriarchy\, capitalism\, the burning world\, or life in general. We’re here to rest so we can resist\, to play as an antidote to pressure\, and to let the people eat cake.\nWe are opening our wonderful house for the evening so you can come by\, relax\, and calm down amongst other queer people. There will be hammocks and little areas for cuddling and enjoying touch. Get or give massages. Do some soft\, slow kink. Or hang out in the kitchen with us and just chat. We will be baking a bunch of cakes and there will be coffee\, tea\, and snacks to nourish your bodies and souls.\nLight and slow kink interactions are welcome. Anything that allows you to come back to yourself and into connection with others in a soft and nice way. This is not a play party or sex club\, but a playful community event. The vibe is cozy\, and we don’t do genital play.\nThere is a separate cuddle room that is completely free from any kind of play\, horny vibes\, and nudity. It’s for cuddles\, naps\, quiet conversation\, maybe reading a book. \nWhat does LIGHT and SLOW mean? \nIt means calming things down\, doing them slowly and intentionally\, with consent and good boundaries in place. It means being in community with intention\, not just intensity. It means playing in a space that is semi-private but shared. It means enjoying the energy of others being in the same space and seeking flow with each other across the room.\nWe are open and happy about what you bring as long as you do not dominate the entire room with the noise\, space you need\, or vibe. This is a shared experience so please read the room and give others space as well.\nImagine you’re doing kink for the first time – things are moving slow and shy. Maybe a spank there\, a pull of the hair there\, a bit of giggling\, a soft smooch on the lips\, a drip off a candle\, a bite on the neck\, playing cats for a while\, wrists that are tied\, a teasing run of rope across the chest.\nIf you want it wild\, hard\, and horny\, come to Wild Unicorns instead!\nDue to hygiene\, trigger potential\, and the vibe of the event\, we do not allow: \n– sideline wanking\n– full nudity outside the play area (big room)\n– blood\, pee\, scat play\n– knife play\, needle play\n– uniforms and/or role play that includes institutional power dynamics (i.e. school\, military\, police\, bürgeramt…) \nDress code \nSoft and cozy (onesies\, lounge wear\, leggings\, pajamas\, flower dresses\, hoodies…) or if you’re in the mood to dress up\, you can flag queer like you’re going to pride (fabulous outfits\, jeans shorts with pocket kerchiefs\, leather daddies\, muscle mommies\, rainbow makeup…) \nWhat’s the space like? \nkitchen and hang-out area with cake\, snacks\, tea\, coffee\, stim toys\, and an introvert’s corner.\nlarge room with mats\, cushions\, blankets\, suspension points\, hammocks\, and nice music.\nmezzanine with a massage table\, floor massage spot\, and massage oil.\ncuddle space with soft mattresses\, pillows\, blankets\, dim lights\, and soft music.\nquiet garden in the summer for touching grass and enjoying the breeze. \nHow it works \nThe door opens at 5:00 pm and stays open until 7:00 pm (sharp).\nYou will need to purchase a ticket upfront as space is limited.\nAt 5:30 pm we will give an introduction to people who are new to the space and want to meet others. If you come later\, you will still go through an introduction to the rules\, space\, and event at arrival.\nYou can then choose your space and mode (talk\, cuddle\, sleep\, eat cake\, light play) and enjoy yourself. \nWhat to bring \nYourself and maybe things you like to share with others.\nPlease bring a blanket or towel to put on the yoga mats we provide. \nWhat else to know \nThis event is aimed at LGBTQIA+ audiences.\nThis space is a sober space. Please do not bring any substances to the spaces or enter the space under the influence.\nNudity is welcome in the play area.\nBathrooms and showers are available. \nRules of Engagement \n\nCuddles\, cakes and kinks is a playful community event for LGBTQIA+ people. This is not a play party or sex club. We are here to connect and rest. You can cuddle\, chat\, read a book\, eat cake\, do some light and slow BDSM\, exchange massages\, or even make out. The dress code is soft and cozy or flagging queer.\nLight and slow means that you are mindful of how loud you are\, how much space you take\, and try to be in harmony with the rest of the room. Think cozy\, consensual and cute\, not intense and overwhelming.\nThis is a sober event. Please do not bring any substances to the space or enter under the influence.\nThe play space is for light and slow kink play. If you want to watch\, sit on one of the seats. You can be nude in the designated areas if you keep a towel under your butt. No sideline wanking\, scat\, piss\, sharps\, or uniforms/roleplay based on institutional power. Disinfect your spot after using\, and bring textiles to wash if you got bodily fluids on them (like sweaty butt or drool).\nThe mezzanine in the play space is for massage. Wipe off hands and feet afterwards if you use oil\, and bring socks to wear.\nThe cuddle space (back room or garden terrace) is for cuddles\, naps\, and light conversation. No nudity\, play\, or horny vibes. Ask before joining the cuddle puddle.\nThe kitchen area is for eating cake\, drinking tea\, and chatting. It’s free from play and nudity. Ask the space holders if you want a coffee. Ask us if you need sugar or gluten free options. We appreciate donations for the buffet. There’s a stim toy box.\nThe mezzanine in the kitchen is for retreating and resting\, leave people alone if they are up there.\nSmoking only in the smoking area in the garden\, next to the gate.\nBe soft and slow\, respect others and give them space. Collaborate in creating a safe and gentle mood. You get gratitude and imaginary points for helping us clean the space afterwards.\n\nAccessibility Note \nThe space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. SUMMARY:Pain is Inevitable\, Suffering is Optional: Techniques for Erotic Pain Processing
DESCRIPTION:Each of us processes pain and intense sensations in different ways. Some of us scream\, some go silent\, and some laugh with glee. Some focus on the connection we have with our partners and go stoic\, while others dance\, writhe\, and squirm to let the pain come out through movement. \nFrom distracting ourselves with other thoughts or body inputs\, to breathing techniques we each enter altered states differently. The same is the case for transforming what individuals and society call “pain” into passion\, fugue states\, or delight. In this workshop\, we will discuss how different individuals process pain and how to increase your own effectiveness in transmuting pain into pleasure\, suffering\, or erotic connection. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  May 2nd\, 2025\, 8 pm – 10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop \nMinimum Knowledge Level: – \nWhat to Bring: ideas\, questions\, partners\, ways to keep notes \nSolo or Partnered: any constellation works \nClass recording: Yes. This class will be recorded (only the facilitator\, not the participants) and is available for ticket holders for 14 days after the event. \n  \nWhat we will teach \n– Develop a new understanding of what “pain” can mean to different people\n– Decide what they want to transmute pain into\n– Increase your “toolbox” of different approaches to altering your state of consciousness during intense sensations\n– Pick up tools for increasing the sensations experienced in scenes\, as well as decreasing it\n– Hear various stories from the instructor and fellow students on their relationship with erotic pain \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. Communication within the class can be had via chat but also people can come on mic and speak. SUMMARY:Snuggles and Story Time
DESCRIPTION:Let’s slow down together and end the week/welcome the weekend with some soft body contact and co-regulation. \nWhether you’re an experienced cuddle slut or curious about how to cuddle with people you don’t know\, this session will provide some gentle guidance into a cozy cuddle puddle. We’ll double down on the coziness with a quiet storytime from a queer children’s book in which nothing bad ever really happens. \nTo make this a safe and comfortable space for more people\, this event is non-sexual and we want to be careful about the ways in which it will interact with our senses. With this in mind\, please wear soft\, comfortable clothing and refrain from wearing any fragrances. You’ll be asked at the start of the session to remove glasses\, jewelry\, and things from your pockets that might not be comfortable for others to be in sustained contact with. \nHow it works \n• Nerdy chat about cuddling for co-regulation rather than foreplay\n• More nerdy chat about cuddling with people you don’t know\n• Examples of consent in a cuddle puddle\n• Gentle guidance into the cuddle puddle\n• Storytime\n• Cuddling in silence or with soft music\n• Gentle guidance out of the cuddle puddle\n• Optional sharing/integration time \nNote: For this event we ask you to test before you come to the house and bring either the test of a photo as proof. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: May 2nd\, 2025\, 7 pm – 10pm \nFormat: literally snuggles \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: You can communicate your desires and boundaries both in negotiation and while snuggling. SUMMARY:Transitions for Semenawa
DESCRIPTION:A transition is the movement from one position to another. It can be done gradually or abruptly\, depending on the intention behind it and what we want to communicate to the person being tied. Transitions are often linked to dynamic tying styles but are less commonly associated with semenawa (torment rope). In semenawa\, the person tying creates both physical and psychological torment to push their partner out of their comfort zone. \nIn this online class\, we will explore a suspension sequence and learn how to tie and adjust it to match the energy and intention we want to express. We’ll also look at how transitions can be used as an effective tool for torment in a session (muahahaha). \nAdditionally\, we’ll discuss the concept of letting go for rope bottoms. What do we need to fully trust our rigger in moments of torment? How does their behavior influence our ability to surrender to our reactions and emotions? \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  May 1st\, 2005\, 7 pm- 9 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: intermediate to advanced suspension skills. You should be able to tie basic static suspensions and be exploring transitions. Your uplines should be quick\, smooth\, and safe\, and should be able to tweak things to suit the person in ropes. The dynamic between the tying pair should be collaborative and supportive with a sense of humour\nand adventure. \nWhat to Bring:  You can bring your ropes and safety equipment if you’d like to tie at the same time\, but to get the most out of the class\, Bänana would recommend observing the proposed sequence first. Then\, take advantage of the Q&A time to fully understand all the details. You’ll always have the opportunity to experiment with the sequence after the class! \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be made available after the last live class for 14 days after the end of the entire series (so there is time!) \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. Communication within the class can be had via chat but also people can come on mic and speak. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance\, i.e. someone reading out the chat\, etc\, please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand. \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, agender. \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgement to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. SUMMARY:Poetics of Rope Bondage
DESCRIPTION:Poetics of rope bondage takes the participants on a journey through the contexts of tying and how we can use them to improve our tying as well as our understanding of tying. In a narrative\, specifically created by Barkas for a new pedagogy of rope\, concepts like aesthetics\, patterns\, suspensions\, and floorwork are deconstructed through exercises that convey ideas rather than recipes. \nContents include: \n– “The city of Kinbaku” and why tourist attractions are distracting\n– Technology vs Science. Why it’s not the pattern’s fault if it’s boring\n– Textbooks vs poetry. SUMMARY:Rope Study with Dasniya : Suspension for Intimacy Play
DESCRIPTION:A monthly exploration of technique\, aesthetics\, and embodied experience in rope \nJoin us for our monthly Rope Study with Dasniya\, an intermediate level rope study session that blends intuitive movement\, systematic rope management\, and deepened awareness of body handling and safety. Throughout the session\, participants will have the opportunity to switch roles between tying and being tied—gaining a fuller understanding of restriction from both perspectives. Whether you are drawn to meditative ties\, sensual exploration\, or technical precision\, this class offers a space to experience rope with curiosity and care. \n  \nThis Month’s Exploration: Suspension for Intimacy Play\n  \nIn this intermediate technique class\, we will explore the M-shape half-/suspension using a comfortable and sustainable hip harness. The open-legged position can allow for sex play but also transitions seamlessly into a hands-free hammock or an inverted posture\, depending on individual experience levels. We will also cover different lock-off techniques for uplines\, all with a sensual and patient mindset. \n  \nDasniya’s Rope Style\n  \nDasniya’s approach to rope is deeply influenced by the Japanese Kinbaku masters Akira Naka and Kasumi Hourai\, with whom she studied in both Europe and Japan. Further inspiration comes from the photographic work of Norio Sugiura and the legacy of Nureki Chimuo\, key figures in shaping this style. \nWhile this tying system is often regarded as advanced\, it can be adapted and taught from the ground up with regular practice\, attention to detail\, and a strong focus on safety. The method combines structured forms\, improvisational principles\, and a sensitivity to restriction\, allowing practitioners to refine their technique while developing intuitive flow. \nDasniya’s personal approach is also shaped by her dance training and Buddhist background. She views rigging through the lens of movement\, listening mindfully to impulses and resonance\, often creating a meditative and euphoric experience in rope. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  April 29th\, 2025\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on rope lab \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: single-/double column tie\, basic frictions\, you need to be able to tie a box tie /TK\, simple up-lines \nWhat to Bring: comfortable clothes that are more tight fitting if possible\, a set of 8 of your own ropes\, safety equipment \nSolo or Partnered:  preferably partnered but you can also partner up in the class with other solo people or tie yourself (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros per person \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier so we can process your ticket and welcome you. Once the class has started we do not allow entry. You cannot transfer your ticket to another week. If you are not sure you can come\, please purchase your ticket on the day as soon as you are absolutely sure you can make it. \nIf you know you will come to our open training or rope study more than just once\, please ask for our discount card! (For every 5 classes\, the 6th class is on us!) \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English.
