No posing\, no being cool or extra good at doing ropey things needed. Come as you are\, exhale and enjoy yourselves. \nWhat is a rope jam?\nRope jams is an open space format. Part hangout\, part jamming with other like-minded people who are into rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku. Come and hang out and watch others do ropey stuff or do some yourself.  The queer rope jam is where you can bring your (rope) partner(s) or meet new people who love to tie\, be tied and/or self-tie. It is also a great space to have sessions in a safe(r) environment with people you do not know yet. \nWe welcome all styles\, all bodies\, all knowledge levels. DESCRIPTION:Very often when people as whether it’s okay or advisable to play with trauma the answer is: don’t. Better not touch it. You will re-traumatize yourself. Wait until you’re “healed”. \nBut here’s the thing: Most of us are already doing it. Whether we are aware of it or not. \nFuck Your Trauma starts by acknowledging that trauma and kink are already in the room together. The question isn’t whether to engage with that but how to do it with more awareness\, more care\, and more curiosity. \nThis is not a workshop with answers. It’s a discussion that reframes the conversation entirely. Away from ideas of brokenness\, re-traumatization and kink as “healing\,” and toward a harm reduction approach that makes space for self-knowledge\, resourcefulness\, and genuine curiosity about what’s actually happening when we play. \nWe’ll look at this structurally\, not personally. No one will be asked to share their traumatic experiences. Instead\, we’ll explore frameworks and ideas for approaching this kind of play in an intentional way. \nThis discussion is NOT recorded so we can speak openly.

Each month explores a new topic — from shame and semenawa to performance\, advanced movement\, or the mythical “3rd rope” in TKs. We rotate between two themes\, always bringing new inspiration to your rope practice. Open to all levels with foundational knowledge. Bring your curiosity\, your questions\, and your rope. \nThis month we are focusing on: Surrender \nHow do movement\, expression\, and the intensity of shibari relate to each other? In this Rope Lab\, we explore how bodily restriction travels through the face – how it shows up as tension or relaxation\, devotion or alertness. We’ll work with breathing\, eye contact\, and how pain moves through both of those. \nExpressive presence in shibari is often tied to trust: to letting go\, handing yourself over. It’s also something a rigger fine-tunes for\, drawing out instinctive reactions. We’ll look at how inward compression of rope unfolds through movement in the body – and maybe into a bit of a fun\, grotesque facial choreography! \nMovement & Expression\nThese classes are dedicated to the research of the body\, movement and the artistic side of shibari. DESCRIPTION:Gote Shibari is one of the most iconic and foundational ties in Japanese rope bondage. In group workshops\, especially for beginner and intermediate students\, it is often taught as a fixed form. This helps students focus on learning essential technical components. \nWhile this approach is valuable for building solid rope techniques\, it often leaves little space for exploring and understanding how to adapt the tie to different people. Personalising the Gote is a nuanced practice that requires experience\, observation and deeper insight\, which is difficult to explore in a typical group setting. \nNaoko believes that no two Gotes are ever the same. Whether you are tying someone for the first time or the hundredth\, every tie should be responsive to the person in front of you – how they feel on that day\, their body\, their energy\, the conversation you are having in rope\, and the space you are sharing. The Gote\, in her view\, is not a “one-size-fits-all” form but an evolving\, living expression of connection. \nIn this workshop\, Naoko will present Gote Shibari as a customisable form through a series of live demonstrations. For each demonstration\, she\nwill tie with a different person who has a distinct physique\, flexibility and personal preferences. Before tying\, Naoko will begin with an open conversation with the person being tied to understand their preferences\, needs and context of the tie. She will then tie the Gote specifically for them\, adjusting elements as needed while talking through the reasons behind her decisions. In some cases\, she may tie more the once to show variations or different approaches. After each demonstration\, Naoko and the person being tied will share a debrief to reflect on their experience. \nThroughout the class\, Naoko will talk through her thought process\, sharing insights into how she balances techniques\, aesthetics and feelings. She will demonstrate using the technical form of Naka style of Gote as the foundation. \nPart I: Masc bodies (Oct. 9th\, 2026)\nPart II: Curvy bodies (Oct. 16th\, 2026)\nPart III: Hyperflexibility (Oct. 30th\, 2026) \nThis class focuses on individuality. There are many systemic barriers to this\, including patriarchy\, capitalism\, classism and racism. In an effort to change the narrative\, Caritia wishes to offer a monthly gathering for BIPOC to talk\, learn about a topic or practice\, and support one another through a community actively built together\, with the aspiration to gather in person once a year. \nCaritia’s intention is to create a guided\, active space for learning and coming together. This format has the potential to morph and change as the group sees fit. \nThis month’s topic:\nThis month\, we will offer space to discuss disability as it pertains to kink. SUMMARY:Rope Hangout: Blindfolds
DESCRIPTION:A rope hangout is a welcoming\, peer-to-peer space where we research rope together\, connect\, and explore in a relaxed\, pressure-free atmosphere\, no matter your experience level. All forms of rope bondage (Japanese inspired shibari/kinbaku\, western style bondage\, decorative macrame…) are warmly invited. \nWhether you feel like tying or simply being present\, you’re welcome here. Enjoy non-alcoholic drinks\, snacks\, and easy conversation — sometimes just showing up is enough. There’s no pressure to perform\, teach\, or know anything in advance. Curiosity and your (imaginary) lab coat is all you need to bring. \nThis month’s special focus: Blindfolds\nThis month we’ll explore using blindfolds while tying\, in expected and unexpected ways. How do sensations change when you can’t see what’s happening? How can you tie if you can’t rely on your sight for rope placement and body handling? Blindfolds offered by the house for anyone in need. \nThe theme is an open invitation rather than a guideline. You’re always encouraged to follow your own interests\, bring questions\, share experiences\, or simply observe and take it all in. The space is shaped by what each person brings into it. \nNote: This is not a rope jam/play space. Rope Hangout is a peer learning environment.

DESCRIPTION:Delving into Dominance is a weekend-long exploration that can includes five parts: Map of Me (Friday)\, Boundaries and Negotiation (Saturday)\, Styles of Leadership (Saturday)\, Archetypes and Inspiration (Sunday) and Discovering your Dominance (Sunday) \nYou can also book the entire weekend for a discounted price. \nCaritia invites you to shape your own learning experience. You can join for just one or two sessions or take a deep dive into all five. Each session will include both theory and practical exercises\, combining individual and group work to help you develop your dominant self. \nPart 1: Map of Me\nMap of Me is a journey of identity and self-discovery\, approached through a nuanced and informed critique-based lens. DESCRIPTION:Delving into Dominance aims to offer a view into the aspects of power and empowerment\, from a decolonial perspective and framework. Allowing for intentional creation/co-creation of spaces that place pleasure\, curiosity and intention at the forefront of your personal desires. \nIn this 5-part series\, Caritia will guide participants through the various aspects of dominance and leadership from an intersectional\, trauma-aware and intersectional lens. Through discussions\, exercises and prompts for reflection\, propagated with why questions (for the enquiring mind). This series will take place Friday October 16th -18th. \nNote: If you are only interested in aspects of this series you can buy an individual ticket from the description below or from the separate event via our website. \nOctober 16th\, 2026  Part 1: Map of Me\, is a journey of identity and self-discovery\, approached through an intersectional\, nuanced and informed critique-based lens. Together\, we will explore the different parts of ourselves that seek expression and uncover what might be holding them back or motivating them to come forward. \nOctober 17th\, 2026 Part 2: Boundaries & Negotiation\, we will break down the key elements and practical steps for creating and maintaining a shared space where you and your partner(s) can explore together while holding each other accountable. Care\, health\, safety\, and communication styles are essential pieces of the play puzzle. Whilst then co-creating protocols that support each person’s empowerment path. \nOctober 17th\, 2026 Part 3: Styles of Leadership\, is about discovering and exploring how you want to dominate and/or lead in a play or erotic context. Together\, we’ll identify personal areas of interest and uncover the joy within different leadership styles. Do you already have the skills\, or do they need to be developed? How can you acquire them? Let’s experiment and find out together. \nOctober 18th\, 2026 Part 4: Archetypes & Inspiration is designed to bring more depth and nuance to your “Style of Leadership”\, helping you gain clarity on the path(s) you want to explore. This session will guide you in shaping characters and expressions of your dominant self\, allowing you to refine and embody your unique leadership style. \nOctober 18th\, 2026 Part 5: Discovering Your Dominance\, is the culmination of your journey\, bringing together all the pieces you’ve explored. What are your next steps? What does your ideal vision for play and sessions look like? Let’s embrace what dominance means to you and celebrate the many ways it can unfold. \nThis series offers\n\nExploration of personal identity\, through a detailed intentional\, intersectional and trauma awareness lens\nIdentifying what boundaries are\, finding and establishing how to uphold those boundaries and frameworks to negotiate\nKnowledge sharing around the challenges participants face with taking a leadership/dominant role\nSharing of experiences and/or perspectives for self and group reflection\nFinding playful and inspirational ways to explore power\, dominance and leadership\nEstablishing language and communication keys to support an empower dynamic for all involved\n\nThis series is for\n\nAnyone seeking to (re)discover their dominance/leadership aspect(s)\nFolks who work as professionals or are simply looking to spice things up in the bedroom\nIndividuals curious about power and empowerment from a decolonial and neurodiverse inclusive lens\nThis event is for LGBTQIA+ & Friends
