DESCRIPTION:This is a separatist space to discuss and lab about kink\, intimacy\, and virtual play space for black\, brown and Indigenous folks. \nFor quite some time\, Caritia has been musing on encouraging and inspiring more BIPOC into the realm of alternative lifestyles and ways of relating. There are many systemic barriers to this\, including patriarchy\, capitalism\, classism and racism. In an effort to change the narrative\, Caritia wishes to offer a monthly gathering of BIPOC to talk\, learn about a topic or practice and support one another through a community that is actively built together\, with the aspiration to gather in person once a year. \nCaritia’s intention is to create a guided\, active space for learning and coming together. This format has the potential to morph and change as the group sees fit. \nWhat we will do\nDiscussing and exploring sensory perception and how that informs your play. As well as the effect/affect around brain neuro-types. \nWho should join\nThis space is specifically for Afro-diaspora\, South American\, South East Asia\, black\, brown\, Indigenous\, and marginalized individuals who are interested in kink and BDSM through the lens of intersectional nuances and transformative justice. This space may not fit for all marginalised demographics\, as it is impossible to cover such diversity in one space.

DESCRIPTION:A monthly exploration of technique\, aesthetics\, and embodied experience in rope \nJoin us for our monthly Rope Study with Dasniya\, an intermediate level rope study session that blends intuitive movement\, systematic rope management\, and deepened awareness of body handling and safety. Throughout the session\, participants will have the opportunity to switch roles between tying and being tied—gaining a fuller understanding of restriction from both perspectives. Whether you are drawn to meditative ties\, sensual exploration\, or technical precision\, this class offers a space to experience rope with curiosity and care. \nThis Month’s Exploration: Interconnection\nIn this rope study class we will connect systems of consequent restriction with system of movements. Dasniya will open her vast dancers tool box to creatively expand the traditional shibari vocabulary. \nThis class on interconnection is loosely inspired by Sam Hsieh Teh-ching one year performance ‚Rope Piece‘  from 1983–1984 in collaboration with Linda Montano. \nClass participants will use shibari technique to bridge the distance between themselves and their tying partner. There will be movement orientated elements from contact improvisation: exploring each others weight\, off- balances and mutual support. As in bondage\, there are moments of heightened awareness\, pleasurable exhaustion\, and the sense of hovering in the air. Let’s micro shift\, fall and stumble together.

Part hangout\, part jamming with other like-minded people who are into rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku. Come and hang out and watch others do ropey stuff or do some yourself.  The queer rope jam is where you can bring your (rope) partner(s) or meet new people who love to tie\, be tied and/or self-tie. It is also a great space to have sessions in a safe(r) environment with people you do not know yet. \nWe welcome all styles\, all bodies\, all knowledge levels. There will be cute music\, extra special lighting and snacks. In the last hour of the jam\, we will lower the lights and music and make it extra cozy.

DESCRIPTION:This monthly intermediate open rope training is directed at building on what has been taught in the Beginner Open Rope Training. We will dive deeper into topics\, techniques and ideas that give more range and depth to your rope practice. \nTopic of Exploration: Predicaments in Partial Suspension\nPredicaments are positions that give the person tied the opportunity to move between two or more positions that suck. In this class\, we will use partial suspensions to create ties that fuck with the mind. Ceci will demonstrate some fundamentals and ideas\, after which you will practice creating your own predicament ties. It’s possible to either copy what is shown or come up with your own version. Any kind of body can be tied in the class. You have to understand the risks of suspension on both sides of the rope to join this class.
