SUMMARY:Rope Basics: Moving With and In Ropes
DESCRIPTION:This class will explore the basics of movement from both sides of rope. We’ll explore finding fluid and efficient ways of moving around your partner when you’re tying\, and also how both partners can play with creativity and flow within a scene. \nThis is a class for pairs. \nImportant Note: Please arrive 15 minutes earlier as it takes time to process your vaccination results etc. at the door. We have also had a lot of people buy tickets and then not attend but ask for the possibility to come at a different date. Due to the pandemic\, our classes are small and it is not possible to simply swap dates. Please also make sure you actually read the refund policy you are agreeing to. 💕 \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: January 6th\, 2021\, 8.45 pm – 10.15 pm \nFormat: workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: all skill levels\, you need to be able to tie a solid single column tie \nWhat to Bring:  ropes\, towel\, or blanket (we can provide workshop ropes if you have none\, you can also buy ropes from us) \nSolo or Partnered: partnered\, ticket price is per pair \n  \nSafety Concept \nYou need to bring proof of vaccination or proof that you are “genesen” (official proof of having had Covid-19 within the last 6 months) in order to be let inside. \nHand disinfectant provided in multiple places. All surfaces are disinfected and will be disinfected in between use. \nSpace is limited to give more space for everyone. \nWe frequently air the space and also use fans for more circulation. \nYou must wear a mask at all times. \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgment to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. We request that we all pro-actively work and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people. \nPhoto: 64ShadesofHörnchen

SUMMARY:Solo Play Sunday: Self-Suspension Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Self-suspension is a very dynamic art form. You can create interesting shapes and sensations\, explore how moving inside the ropes affects your center of gravity\, your weight in the ropes\, and sense even small differences in your tying immediately. You can explore where ropes feel good or bad\, and where they feel bad in a good way. You find which parts of your body are strong\, and you can put trust in the parts that feel weak to teach your body that you are capable and enough. \nIn this workshop\, we will work both close to the floor and standing up. We will create one M-shaped suspension while standing up. Close to the floor\, we will explore movement and different positions. \nNote: There will be a  solo play jam after this event (50% off in the cart\, if you purchase the jam with this event). \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  December 19th\, 2021\, 11 am -3 pm \nFormat: workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: solid understanding of the single column tie\, basic rope handling skills\, basic experience with suspension line management. \nWhat to Bring:  ropes\, safety equipment\, carabiners and anything else you need \nSolo or Partnered: solo\, obviously  \n  \nWhat Ceci will teach \n– Self-suspension safety \n– Suspension line basics for self-suspension \n–  Ceci’s chest harness for vertical self-suspension \n–  M-shaped suspension \n– Creativity and improvisation \n  \nSafety Concept \nYou need to bring proof of vaccination or proof that you are “genesen” (official proof of having had Covid-19 within the last 6 months) in order to be let inside. \nHand disinfectant provided in multiple places. DESCRIPTION:Sharing space is something that can be fun\, challenging\, complex and messy\, no matter the dynamics. \nTo create a space for yourself as a solo individual is different from an event offered in a public setting involving 20 or 1000 people\, for example\, a play party or club night (or any other space). Are there cross over or universal aspects that can support you\, your play partners and groups who desire to create space together? And what are the parts that are unique to your personal experience(s) that need to be considered to allow for you to be in a playful/intimate/open state? \nIn this discussion\, lab & shared collaborative setting\, Caritia aims to offer an inward to outward approach for creating space that offers nuance for expansion\, creativity and support when walking into the unknown. As well as keys to communicating and practical ways to resolve challenges in & away from charged situations. This 3-hour workshop is a toe-dip into a complex subject\, attendees will be encouraged to do their own ongoing research. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  December 14th\, 2021\, 7-9.30 pm \nFormat: workshop & discussion \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Friends \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: N/a \nWhat to Bring:  Pen\, paper\, questions and an open mind to discovery \nSolo or Partnered:  All constellations welcome (the ticket price is per person)\n \n  \nWhat we will teach/offer you \n• meditation\n• communication styles\n• boundaries\, negotiation and care\n• what is intention? how does it relate to space or the creation of them?\n• who do you wish to be in an intentional space? Character creation & persona exploration\n• objects and items – what they can represent in space and support creativity\n• utopias of play\n• feedback and questions \nClass recording: Yes. The session will be recorded and available for 14 days after the workshop. The participants will not be recorded. \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, agender. \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgement to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. \n  \nPhoto: René De Sans

SUMMARY:The Promise of Identity
DESCRIPTION:The landscape of different sexual identities is vast and more and more white spots on the maps are discovered\, created\, and surveyed. \nAlthough it became easier to travel between different areas on that globe\, one operation remains unthinkable: Not to identify with a certain sexuality seems as rare and problematic as being nationless. \nIn a sense\, entering an area of a specific sexual identity demands from us the enunciation of a promise. To identify\, after all\, can be seen as an orientation in a certain direction or to submit to certain rules of that identity. \nIs there a way to identify without a promise? How would that look like and ‘where’ would that be? \nThis is not necessarily a workshop but an exploration. After establishing a toolkit of the identity surveyor\, we will go together on a journey to find out if there can be a land that does not require a promise of entrance. In other words\, we will draw a map of sexual identities. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: December 12th\, 7-9 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: exploratory workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: – \nWhat to bring: – \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be available for 14 days after the live workshop \n  \nWhat else to know \nAfter your successful ticket purchase\, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. \nIf you cannot afford this event\, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices. If that is still too much or they are out of stock\, feel free to send us a message via info@karada-house.de

We will practice using counter tension\, the direction changer/half hitch\, and the munter hitch. It’s all about drills and\nunderstanding why things work the way they do! The content includes two knots for the single column tie and discussing the functional properties of each. We will also learn how to make an in-line single-column tie. Many of Ceci’s students in Helsinki have attended this workshop several times during different points of their tying journey. Challenge yourself and come check out what it’s all about! \nThe Rope Practice Lab is your opportunity to practice your tying skills while having someone there to help you out. We start with a starting circle\, where everyone shares what they want to work on during the lab. After that\, it’s practice time. Ceci walks around the room helping you with your specific questions. They offer feedback\, possible solutions to problems\, co-creation\, technical assistance\, and support if you want to try something on the upper limits of your skills. \n  \nMinimum Knowledge Level: You can make some kind of single-column tie. SUMMARY:Kink and Neurodivergence
DESCRIPTION:Our intimate connections can be a mixture of complex\, delightful messiness that each one can find a challenging prospect to walk through. Add to that the multiplicity of how each individual processes through your senses\, minds and emotions\, the potential for misunderstanding is vast. When intimacy\, touch and desire are added to that already heady mix is it any wonder that things become confusing. \nWhy is it vital to speak and share ideas about neurodivergence/ neurominority people within the context of kink and intimacy in general? How can more supportive paths be found to support the curiosity of intimacy and connection? \nIn this open discussion and lab\, Caritia aims to open up a personal and collective conversation about the topics of kink and neurodivergence\, inviting participants to actively dialogue and share their experiences around this complex topic. And in doing so explore ways in which the nuance and messiness can be brought to bear as part of a utopia of sharing space with each other. \nNote: This is an alive and ongoing process of learning\, it is not intended to be a ‘fits in a box’ idea or concept. \nWho is this for: \nThis workshop has been derived for a variety of folx: New folx to kink. Minimal experience folx. Highly experienced folx. Curious and interested in learning more about yourselves folx. People with neurodivergence and those without. Folx with partners/intimates/connections who are neuro & non-neuro who are interested in kink. \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: December 5th\, 2021\, 2pm-5pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: discussion & lab \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \n  \nMinimum Knowledge Level: N/A\n \n  \nConcepts/offers for discussion\n \n– meditation/intro \n–  what is neurodivergency? broad-spectrum \n– what to consider? intersectionality\, boundaries\, negotiation and care \n– language(s)\, perspective(s)\, intention(s) \n– opening to difference and the space that needs \n– formats will include self-reflection\, small groups\, big group \n– gentle embodiment practice throughout the 3 hours (including a short break) \n– open freeform space for free association (if it proves to be supportive of the group) \n– Feedback and close \n  \nWhat to bring: Questions\, stories\, active suggestions\, compassion and an open heart \nEveryone must purchase a ticket no matter your constellation \nAccessibility information: \n• Automated Zoom captions will be turned on.\n• The presentation will always have a minimum of 18pt font. \nClass recording: Yes. SUMMARY:Follow the Leader
DESCRIPTION:“Power tends to corrupt\, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men.” Lord Acton – source phrashes.org.uk The proverbial saying conveys the opinion that\, as a person’s power increases\, their moral sense diminishes. Is this a line that must always be followed? \nThe act of leading\, of being in charge or taking charge is so frequently presented by society in damaging ways. And yet there are stunning\, as well as beautiful examples to the contrary. Would a part of yourself find joy in being given space to lead? Offering yourself the pleasure of intentionally and respectfully taking\, speaking to what you desire? \nCaritia invites you to find out more about the power you hold\, the power you yield and to explore intentional ways in which each person within the dynamic can find their way to walk in a way that respects your own boundaries\, those of others and the excitement\, as well as intimacy leadership\, can hold. \nThe space offered is to learn more about your relationship with power\, leading\, leadership and active following. \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  December 4th\, 2021\, 11am – 6pm \nFormat: workshop & exploration space \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Friends \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: N/a \nWhat to Bring: Anything that would support your process and communication style \n \nSolo or Partnered:  solo or partnered (everybody needs to buy a ticket) Participants who join alone will be invited to pair with other solo participants.\n \n  \nWhat we will teach/offer you \n– meditation \n– what is power? what are the elements of power? \n– negotiation as a leader \n– leading vs dominance \n– creating boundaries within your space \n– communication in an intimate space \n– Feedback and close \nAbout Caritia: lives in a queer\, gender-fluid\, BiPoC (perceived as feminine) body.
