DESCRIPTION:Apologizing is something that all of us are very familiar with\, weather we like it or not. It is an essential part of how we sustain relationships and practice consensual and meaningful connections. \n\n\n\nIt plays a role in every relationships\, where many of us need to unlearn hetero- and mononormative norms and in this process of unlearning we come across lots of obstacles and trials&errors. Apologizing becomes a central figure in practicing sustainable relationships.  \n\n\n\nWhat We Will Do in this Workshop\n\n\n\nYaniv would like to invite the participants for a little deep dive into what it means to apologize in an accountable and responsible way by looking into a helpful definition of the term accountablity.  \n\n\n\nWe will talk about the different elements of a good apology\, define each participants responsibility and role. It can be difficult to look into apologizing from different angles\, because we need to open up towards the reality that each story can have multiple truths. There will be some voluntary exercises that can help in the future when confronted with a difficult and/or hurtful situation that requires to deal with the process of accountability. Each and everyone can explore those on their own. \n\n\n\nDuring that process we will differentiate between accepting\, forgiving and moving forward. And take a close look into what it needs to be able to gain some clarity on where we stand during that process. \n\n\n\n

Come and hang out and watch others do ropey stuff or do some yourself.  The queer rope jam is where you can bring your (rope) partner(s) or meet new people who love to tie\, be tied and/or self-tie. SUMMARY:Consent – An Overdue Critique
DESCRIPTION:The concept of consent is omnipresent in the rope world and beyond. And for good reasons. Obviously\, we want to ensure that we don’t harm each other or get harmed in any way\, and consent seems to be the best possible modality to reduce the risk of harm. \n\n\n\nOver the last decade and even before that\, practitioners of rope and kink started to realize that the concept does not come without problems. Therefore\, in order to save the concept and thus\, ourselves\, adjectives have been added to the concept\, such as enthusiastic\, freely given\, risk aware\, and many more. It seems as if almost yearly\, a new maneuver gets spread in the hope that finally\, we can be safe. \n\n\n\nWhat We Will Do\n\n\n\nThis class by Emmy and Barkas is not another such attempt but rather a discussion of the problems that arise with the concept itself and all the adjectives. Where does consent come from\, why is it impossible and still absolutely necessary? What are the principles\, what are the societal problems and how can we navigate the impossibilities of consent without just giving up. \n\n\n\nEmmy (she/they) is cofounder of Studio Allegory and teaches kink and intimacy. Her background in comparative contract law enables her to distinguish between cliches of consent and how it is actually formulated. \n\n\n\nBarkas (they/them) is cofounder of Studio Allegory and teaches kink and intimacy since 2011. They published several articles in international magazines as well as the monograph “Archaeology of personalities – a linguistic approach to erotic rope bondage”.

We will be baking a bunch of cakes and there will be coffee\, tea\, and snacks to nourish your bodies and souls. \nLight and slow kink interactions are welcome. Anything that allows you to come back to yourself and into connection with others in a soft and nice way. This is not a play party or sex club\, but a playful community event. The vibe is cozy\, and we don’t do genital play. \nThere is a separate cuddle room that is completely free from any kind of play\, horny vibes\, and nudity. Part hangout\, part jamming with other like-minded people who are into rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku. Come and hang out and watch others do ropey stuff or do some yourself.  The queer rope jam is where you can bring your (rope) partner(s) or meet new people who love to tie\, be tied and/or self-tie. DESCRIPTION:Impact play is a wide spectrum of play types and flogging is one. It’s a practice the goes way back as a ritual\, a sexual practice and punishment. An example of it can be seen in the Italian Etruscan tomb – Tomb of Whipping. There are many examples across continents and cultures. \nParticipants are invited to intentionally explore flogging as a forms of experimentation and play\, to connect to forms of non-verbal communication within a held space framework. With curiosity towards finding and creating a shared energy that is empowering\, playful and leans into discomfort. Giving space to new ground for forms of body knowledge and understanding\, of your style play and flavours of sensation. \nIn this light-hearted\, beginner friendly and guided space\, Caritia (no pronouns) will support participants in finding tools\, positions and nuanced ways of giving sensation to your play connection. \nWhat we will be exploring\n\nmovement\, rhythm and tempo\nintersectionality & boundary setting\nnegotiation – what is it/what can it look like\nfloggers and their materials\nflavours of impact\ntechniques and play dynamics\n\nWhat you need to know\n\nprevious experience helpful for both roles\, however not essential\nbring your own floggers\, if you have one/them\nthere will be nudity. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to LOCKER TALK – A Somatic Workshop for Processing Trans Embodiment in Public Space\, hosted and facilitated by Eddy Entropy and Fleshpiece  \n\n\n\nOur work revolves around how we continue to create a home in our own skin\, and how we are cultivating a caring connection with each other\, across differently embodied trans experiences. \n\n\n\nWhy LOCKER TALK?\n\n\n\nThe locker room has historically been a place of transactional exclusivity where cis-men conduct business in secret to preserve power and control. We would like you to join us as we infiltrate this metaphorical space to host a “locker talk”. What can we envision in queering this architecture together? What have we embodied in the past and present in these spaces like pools\, gyms\, saunas\, and beaches – spaces where trans bodies often come into scrutiny? What will be our future in these spaces? Our nudity can be freedom and allow us to access our own power and vulnerability. Let’s explore this together.  \n\n\n\nAt LOCKER TALK\, we invite trans\, enby\, questioning folks – and their friends\, lovers\, and allies – to join us in this work. We will process the unique struggles and joys that we as trans folks face in maintaining safety\, dignity\, ownership\, and ecstasy in our bodies through public spaces. When we process this with our bodies and unpack these experiences\, we begin to see how our bodies bridging access and autonomy for all bodies.  \n\n\n\nWe will facilitate this in two phases:  \n\n\n\nPhase One: Bodytalk! \n\n\n\nLet’s stretch and get sweaty together – taking time to get active in the flesh and get comfortable in our skin. DESCRIPTION:Kink is Political is an online discussion with Addie Tahl\, Georg Barkas\, Andrea Rimon\, and occasional special guests. Participants are invited to join a discussion during which we unite critique with an emphasis on the practical and day-to-day issues and challenges of kink\, intimacy\, and relationships. \n\n\n\nFocusing on concepts central to BDSM\, leather\, rope\, and sex-positive communities\, it interrogates widely adopted approaches and commonly held notions. It aims to understand the politics of kink beyond the language of sexual liberation and politics of sexual liberalism\, both frames that have proven insufficient in addressing widespread harm\, a rising international tide of sex-negativity and reaction\, or in guaranteeing that the most marginalized can sexually flourish. \n\n\n\nKink is Political is an examination of the contexts and consequences of how we talk about and understand gender and sexuality. It is a forum to think about how kink spaces and practices operate\, what works\, what doesn’t\, and what we can use to build something better. \n\n\n\nThis month’s topic: Community\, Culture\, and Social Character\n\n\n\nIn our first session\, we’ll inquire into how the structure of our organizations and broader community infrastructure shapes our culture and what we do. We’ll start from the example of the rope scene and move on to broader kink and sex positive communities. Along\, the way\, we’ll ask: Who does trying attract? What do different kinds of tying pedagogy teach us about ways of being in the world? What are the consequences of participating in practics so built around private space? Is there something authoritarian built into the ways that we gather?
