SUMMARY:Domination and Bondage
DESCRIPTION:There are endless ways to tie someone\, different combinations of rope\, and kinky or non-kinky themes. In this workshop\, we will explore domination and submission in the context of rope bondage. \nWhat kind of body positions and ties encourage submission? How do we use the rope and our bodies in a dominant way? How do we submit in ropes\, how do we react to impulses? What kind of archetypes or roles describe us as dominants and submissives\, where can we find inspiration for our play? \nFind your answers to these questions and more in this workshop. To attend\, you need to already know how to tie your partner in some way. You also need to come with a person who wants to explore this dynamic with you. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time: November 20th\, 2022\, 3pm – 6 pm \nFormat: workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: some skills in tying (you have some fluency in rope handling and know how to lock body positions into place using rope)\, ability to negotiate and set boundaries. \nWhat to Bring: at least 2 ropes\, pen & paper\, blindfold \nSolo or Partnered:  partnered \nTicket: Price is per pair \n  \nWhat we teach/offer: \n· Dominance\, submission in body language and positions \n· Using rope in a dominant way \n· Rituals to help you get into role \n· Finding your way to be dominant/submissive \n  \nSafety Concept & Regulation \nPlease consult our safety concept and regulations for this event here. \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgement to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. SUMMARY:Magic Tricks for Excellent Rope Handling
DESCRIPTION:This class takes a deep dive into the minute details of what makes good tension\, clean placement\, even lines\, and smooth\, effortless rope movement. \nThese absolutely fundamental (and universally applicable) micro-techniques are difficult to pin down but magic once implemented\, and make the difference between good rope and excellent tying. We will look at how to use hands more effectively\, going into details like which fingers hold tension when\, how to flip or angle rope to prevent twists\, which angles to follow when throwing rope to clear it\, how to multi-task so that one hand can accomplish two (or three) tasks simultaneously. \nWe will break down how the person tying can maneuver their hands and body to tie even cuffs (thigh\, ankle) that stay in place\, or how to tweak those cuffs better suit the needs of a tie. We will also look at techniques to prevent finger and hand injuries for those who tie. These techniques are useful to anyone who ties\, no matter their style\, and all skill levels will find these techniques useful and productive. \nBeginners are especially invited to attend as it is easier to build good habits from the beginning. Solo attendance is also encouraged\, and techniques will be taught in such a way that they can be practiced on oneself. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  November 9th\, 2022\, 7 pm – 9.30 (probably 10 pm because Addie just knows too much) pm \nFormat: discussion & demonstration \nMinimum Knowledge Level: A single-column tie \nWhat to Bring: yourself\, ropes\, safety tools \nSolo or Partnered: any constellation\, works \nClass recording: yes \nThis class will be recorded (only the facilitator\, not the participants) and is available for ticket holders for 14 days after the event. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgment to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. SUMMARY:Yes\, please / No Thanks – Giving Consent\, Holding Boundaries\, Negotiating Well
DESCRIPTION:Time to upgrade some of the most important kink and life skills! \nThe general idea of consent and boundaries is often portrayed to be as simple as offering someone a cup of tea. However\, in reality\, it is much more nuanced and complicated\, especially when considering our intersectionalities\, different contexts\, and power structures. And then what? Holding boundaries also sounds rather easy but how do you know what your boundaries are and how can you hold them with grace and without making them into walls that cut you off? And how do you negotiate your play and other events when life is messy and emotions are involved? \nCaritia will guide and support participants in solo\, paired\, and group exercises to get to grips with what consent\, boundaries\, and negotiation means to you\, how it can be understood\, and applied in everyday situations\, and the mindsets that can open you up to more playful interactions with others. Let’s dive in\, get messy and acknowledge the dimensions. \nThe workshop aims to get to know yourself and your boundaries more deeply. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  November 5th & 6th\, 2022\, 10.30 am- 6 pm (1 hour lunch break in between) \nFormat: Workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Friends \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: N/a \nWhat to Bring: paper\, pen\, questions\, and stories \nSolo or Partnered:  both work (everybody needs to buy a ticket) \nRecording: no. \n  \nWhat we will teach: \n-Layers of consent\, \n-nuances of play\, \n-communication tools\, \n-intersectionality\, \n-relating to others \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, agender. \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgement to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. SUMMARY:Releasing Grief and Sadness
DESCRIPTION:Sadness and grief touch so much of our present-day journey. \nThey are multi-layered and challenging to navigate\, but do they have a purpose? How can we personally\, collectively\, and metaphorically allow ourselves to sit with the complexity of sadness? And cherish\, honour\, and release our grief? Let’s give ourselves the gift(s) of transformation and inspiration. \nFor this ritual & workshop\, we will explore our grief place(s)\, where we find them\, why they are important and how we can remind ourselves to embrace them when we are challenged. The idea is not to have all the answers\, but more to give ourselves space to sit\, take time and share in a supportive held container. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  October 27th\, 2022\, 7 pm- 9.30 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nKnowledge level: none \nWhat to bring: Pens\, paper\, paints\, sketchbook\, images\, stories\, tissues\, objects\, and ideas to share \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be available after the live class for 14 days. \nWhat we will do \nCaritia’s proposal is to give space\, offer to witness/be witnessed\, and create rituals around grief\, sadness\, loss\, release\, and frustration. Exploring methods and actual practices/things which turn up the sadness in our lives – both individually and with others. Opening to the dark and the light. Mindfulness\, as well as a respectful tone\, is a must.\n• Guided meditation \n• Defining the nuances \n• Mess as a form of release \n• Communication Tool Kit – Finding Language around/ for sadness \n• Holding space alone or together – ways to connect \n• Who is your sadness for? \n• Feedback & close \n  \nWhat else to know \nAfter your successful ticket purchase\, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. \nIf you cannot afford this event\, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices. SUMMARY:Kink and Trauma
DESCRIPTION:Join Ev for a work investigating the intersections of trauma and kink. \nThe vast majority of us carry trauma with us. How can we better understand how trauma operates\, both in general and in ourselves? We will work to understand the answer to this question so that we can enter into our kinks better aware of our own trauma\, how to care for others with trauma\, and ultimately create healing-centered experiences. \nIn this 2-part-training\, we will start by learning about trauma–what is it\, how it operates\, and what symptoms look like. As we learn what trauma is in general\, we will start to explore what trauma symptoms look like in our own lives\, so ultimately\, we can be better aware of our needs\, limits\, and desires. Lastly\, we will explore the intersection of kink and trauma\, including how kink can be a conduit of healing. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  October 26th & November 2nd\, 2022\, 7-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop & discussion \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: – \nWhat to Bring: water\, anything you might need if you feel yourself getting activated or triggered \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome \nClass recording: Yes. This class will be recorded (only the facilitator\, not the participants) and is available for ticket holders for 14 days after the event \n  \nWhat we will explore \nWe will learn about the “Window of Tolerance”\, and the difference between “trauma-informed” and “healing centered”. We will also brainstorm how to make both our play and the broader kink scene more healing centered. \n  \nWhat else to know \nAfter your successful ticket purchase\, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. \nIf you cannot afford this event\, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices. SUMMARY:Deconstruct Your Kink
DESCRIPTION:How can we approach the big ominous terms in kink and intimacy? \nIn the vast field of kink\, sexuality\, and intimacy we encounter them on almost every step. Nothing seems to be able to hide from them; if we meet them\, they are often the reason for heated debates and absolutistic claims about their meaning. They are the big terms for relating to each other and many seem to be convinced that their meaning is obvious. But what is behind terms like pain\, shame\, sex\, identity\, and alike?\nIn this workshop\, Barkas and Addie present a hands-on discussion of what deconstruction means and what a productive deconstruction of several big terms of the rope and kink world could look like. There will be exercises but not necessarily with ropes. \n  \nThis event is a fundraiser event. All proceeds go to Karada House for building their new physical space in Berlin. You can choose how much you would like to pay for this event\, 10 Euros being the minimum amount. You can change the amount by simply typing into the field and changing it accordingly. Thank you for your support. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  October 16th\, 2022\, 7-10pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: discussion (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: None \nWhat to Bring:  curiosity \nSolo or Partnered:  both (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be made available after the live class for 14 days. \n  \n  \nWhat else to know \nAfter your successful ticket purchase\, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. \nIf you cannot afford this event\, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices. SUMMARY:Critical Whiteness
DESCRIPTION:Karada House works mostly within the realm of kink\, BDSM\, gender\, and sexuality. This work can only be seen and understood as an intersectional endeavor encompassing many other aspects such as language\, wealth\, housing\, body size\, mental health\, neurodiversity\, ability\, education\, skin color\, relationship constellations\, and citizenship. This specific 2-part workshop series is not specifically about whiteness within the context of kink\, gender\, and sexuality. In our opinion it is\, however\, a vital first step for white people in general and white kinksters\, whether or not they consider themselves queer\, to understand how racism comes into play in every aspect of this society – kink lives\, relationships\, and spaces included. \nAlthough European and Northern American societies are promoted as inclusive\, it is obvious that this is not the case. It’s still very much cis-white\, Christian\, capitalist\, ableist\, and patriarchal as they were. Due to the dominance of white\, Europe-centric\, patriarchal\, ableist standards\, people in Europe and Northern America are categorized and understood as normal bodies and irregular bodies. These supposedly irregular bodies are oppressed by the European and Northern American systems in various forms of power at the micro and macro levels and are discriminated against at the individual and institutional levels. This form of systemic oppression and indoctrinated false reality has roots in European colonialism\, Nazism\, and imperialism. \n  \nPart 1: The Genesis of Racism (October 6th\, 2022: 7-10 pm) \nThe first part of this workshop series will enable the participants to factually understand the genesis of racism by exploring historical and current facts\, situations\, and occurrences that paved way for colonialism\, racial hierarchy\, genocides\, neocolonialism\, and modern-day racism. \n  \nPart 2: White Privilege Reflection (October 13th\, 2022: 7-10 pm) \nThe workshop enables an open space for white and white-passing folks to gather and share their ideas and understanding of being an Ally\, discuss their mistakes\, share their practices\,\nknowledge and reflect on their privilege. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  October 6th & 13th\, 2022\, 7-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop & discussion \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: – \nWhat to Bring: – \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome \nClass recording: Yes. This class will be recorded (only the facilitator\, not the participants) and is available for ticket holders for 14 days after the event \n  \nWhat else to know \nAfter your successful ticket purchase\, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. \nIf you cannot afford this event\, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices. SUMMARY:Ranboo Style Part III: Floor & Air
DESCRIPTION:Ranboo\, literally translated means stormy\, overwhelming\, wild. \nAbout 10 years ago\, Barkas developed Ranboo as a way of rejecting a static and often seemingly boring practice of rope bondage. A wild dance while tying with each other is the result.\nRanboo is characterized by a large amplitude of variation of distance\, speed\, and intensity\, paired with an element of surprise. It is not a set of patterns or a “visual goal” but a way of interacting\nwith your partner(s) through rope\, a specific interview type\, if you want. \nIn this 3-parts workshop series\, Barkas and Addie will accompany the participants through the principles\, applications\, and variations of Ranboo\, while keeping a strong focus on safety. \nDisclaimer: The highly dynamic nature of ranboo comes with the potential of greater risk for injuries. We strongly recommend participants watch the series in order and only \npractice exercises from the latter parts if they are proficient in basic techniques. \n  \nPart III Floor & Air (October 5th\, 2022\, 7-10 pm CET) \nRanboo on the floor is challenging due to various aspects. In this part\, we use these challenges to further familiarize participants with the concepts developed in the previous parts but on the floor. Some challenges of ranboo that appear on the floor are similar when we go into suspensions. Other challenges are added. We go through a suspension and see how ranboo affects the way we can tie in the air. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  October 5th\, 20212 7-10pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop & discussion (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English\, translation into German can be provided \nMinimum Knowledge Level: Active participants\, i.e. those who would like to tie along or try the exercises immediately\, should be able to tie a single/double column tie and have some knowledge about different frictions\, as well as suspension experiences for that corresponding part. None of that is a threshold for participation in general and participants of all levels are welcome.\nWe strongly recommend not to tie along when you are not proficient in the underlying rope techniques. \nWhat to Bring:  ropes (the techniques covered work well for natural fiber rope\, and synthetic will behave differently. This series is not suited to tying with synthetic rope)\, a partner\, suspension point if you want to tie along in Part III \nSolo or Partnered:  both (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be made available after the live class for 14 days. \n  \nWhat else to know \nAfter your successful ticket purchase\, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. \nIf you cannot afford this event\, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices. SUMMARY:Be Yourself or Someone Else: An Introduction to Erotic Roleplaying
DESCRIPTION:Have you always wanted to explore being a variety of characters\, both those you don from the outside world and those that you have deep inside you? \nThis is your chance to explore the tips\, tricks\, and tools to bring them to life and make them your own! So you’ve decided that it could be fun to do some roleplaying\, but aren’t sure where to go with it? Let’s develop some skills together! \nUsing classical evocation skills we will work to pull upon our sensuality\, anger\, sadness\, and other feelings on command. Evocation is also an amazing tool for pulling out our own inner Daddy\, pony\, goddess\, or slave. We will then turn to the idea of invocation to tap into personal\, cultural\, and universal archetypes as well as other concepts that we are drawn to. Just because it’s not inside you\, doesn’t mean you can’t learn through some simple exercises and brainstorming to learn how to “draw it down.” Bring your roleplaying fantasies and curiosities for this fun discussion and exercise-driven workshop. \nWe will: \n– Discuss the variety of roles we can take on and find ones that might appeal to you \n– Look at the difference between role-playing and role-being \n– Build tools for evoking emotions and characters \n– Explore ways to get into\, explore\, and stop roleplaying \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  September 30th\, 2022\, 8-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: – \nWhat to Bring: An open mind\, curiosity\, and a desire to explore the topic. \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome \nClass recording: Yes. SUMMARY:Ranboo Style Part II: Next Level
\n  \nPart II Next Level (September 28th\, 2022\, 7-10 pm CET) \nWe increase the pace and variation of distance and apply the principles learned in Part I to some standard patterns. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  September 28th\, 2022\, 7-10pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop & discussion (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English\, translation into German can be provided \nMinimum Knowledge Level: Active participants\, i.e. those who would like to tie along or try the exercises immediately\, should be able to tie a single/double column tie and have some knowledge about different frictions\, as well as suspension experiences for that corresponding part.
