SUMMARY:BIPOC Shibari Weekend
DESCRIPTION:For three days\, BIPOC folks are invited to gather for a BIPOC-led shibari weekend rooted in learning\, connection\, and shared practice. This gathering is intentionally created as a space for BIPOC participants to explore rope in community—with care\, curiosity\, and respect for the many ways we come to this practice. \nAcross the weekend\, we will move between structured learning\, guided exploration\, and open time to meet\, practice\, and build relationships with one another. Whether you are newer to rope or have existing experience\, this space prioritizes collective exchange\, harm reduction\, and embodied learning amongst BIPOC folks. \nTime Table\nFriday 22nd – Meet & Greet | 7:00–10:00 pm \nSaturday 23rd – Workshops | 11:00 am–6:00 pm (with a lunch hour)\, 7:00–9:30 pm jam time \nSunday 25th – Workshop & Lab | 11:00 am–6:00 pm \nmore details on all days see FAQ below \n\n\n\nPricing Accessibility\nWe are offering this at a heavily reduced 80-120 Euros per person for the entire weekend (includes lunch). \nWe can accommodate \n\npaying in installments but the full price must be paid before the event begins. Please book accommodation along with your ticket. \nFundraiser\nIn order to lower the barriers for access to this event as much as possible\, we are raising funds for the BIPOC Shibari weekend. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to THICK HITCHES\, you awesome fat bitches! \nTHICK HITCHES is a 3-day virtual rope conference with the emphasis on people and bodies who identify as fat. We focus mostly on Japanese-inspired rope bondage in all its forms: tying each other\, self-tying\, floor work\, and suspension funsies. This is a space where fat is the norm\, we celebrate our super powers\, and agitate for the change we want in rope communities. \nWe open this invitation to self-identified fat people and their tying partners (of any size). We welcome all roles (rigger/tops\, model/bottoms\, switches\, etc.)\, all knowledge levels (beginner\, intermediate\, advanced)\, and all tying styles to this gathering that aims to bring practitioners who identify as fat together to celebrate their love for rope and exchange knowledge and experiences. \nDetails\n– 3-day conference\, approx. 15 facilitated spaces/workshops\, spaces to do skillshares\, lab\, or just hang out \n– fat-identifying people\, only\, people who do not identify as fat are welcome when partnered with a fat person \n– highly skilled\, fat facilitators will guide you\, share knowledge\, and hold space for you \n– we take it slow\, there is lots of space to just chill\, hang out\, try out stuff \n  \nWho is this event for?\nFat-identifying people and their partners (who do not need to be fat themselves). \nThis space is centering people who experience institutionalized fatphobia.
