No posing\, no being cool or extra good at doing ropey things needed. Come as you are\, exhale and enjoy yourselves. \nWhat is a rope jam?\nRope jams is an open space format. Part hangout\, part jamming with other like-minded people who are into rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku. Come and hang out and watch others do ropey stuff or do some yourself.  The queer rope jam is where you can bring your (rope) partner(s) or meet new people who love to tie\, be tied and/or self-tie. It is also a great space to have sessions in a safe(r) environment with people you do not know yet. \nWe welcome all styles\, all bodies\, all knowledge levels. There will be cute music\, extra special lighting and snacks. In the last hour of the jam\, we will lower the lights and music and make it extra cozy.

If ropes were music this would be an etude\, an exercise that can be practiced in different ways\, with different emphases\, to develop different techniques and skills. It covers protecting finger joints\, nailing and maintaining tension\, preventing rope burn\, and body handling and movement while tying. And it results in a suspensionable harness\, if you are into that! \nPeople are welcome to switch\, come solo and find someone to tie with\, or come solo and practice on themselves. Not quite as effective but still worthwhile.

A deeper complexity emerges\, not in knots and patterns\, but in the interpersonal and vulnerable.\n \nThis two-day intensive workshop with Murasaki Haruan offers a rare opportunity to step over that threshold.\n \nRooted in the philosophy of Yukimura-ryu\, this is not a workshop about acquiring more patterns\, more ties\, or more theatrics. Instead\, it is an invitation to deliberately return to the fundamental sequences 片足開脚（KataAshi Kaikyaku) and 獣縛りKemono)\, and to explore them with a level of attention that transforms the familiar into something more profound.\n \nAcross 12 hours of in-person teaching\, these two sequences will be examined from multiple perspectives. Through repetition\, variation\, and subtle adjustment\, participants will begin to encounter the depth that only reveals itself over time. This is a practice of refinement\, where intention replaces habit\, and nuance becomes the language. It is a challenge in patience and stepping outside your comfort zone.\n \nMurasaki’s teaching does not follow a westernized format. It draws from a distinctly Japanese approach to transmission: slow\, immersive\, and often indirect. Meaning is not always explained – it is experienced\, sensed\, and gradually understood. Ceci will guide you through a collective warm up\, starting with a moment of grounding self-tying and then finding a partner or a small group to tie with. How do sensations change when you can’t see what’s happening? How can you tie if you can’t rely on your sight for rope placement and body handling? DESCRIPTION:It’s queer rope jam time\, babes! Once in a while you gotta do ropey stuff amongst other queers and just enjoy yourself. No posing\, no being cool or extra good at doing ropey things needed. Come as you are\, exhale and enjoy yourselves. \nWhat is a rope jam?\nRope jams is an open space format. Part hangout\, part jamming with other like-minded people who are into rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku. Come and hang out and watch others do ropey stuff or do some yourself.  The queer rope jam is where you can bring your (rope) partner(s) or meet new people who love to tie\, be tied and/or self-tie. It is also a great space to have sessions in a safe(r) environment with people you do not know yet. \nWe welcome all styles\, all bodies\, all knowledge levels. There will be cute music\, extra special lighting and snacks. In the last hour of the jam\, we will lower the lights and music and make it extra cozy.

DESCRIPTION:Ready to willingly dip your toes into challenge\, anticipation and dilemma? This series will introduce you to two very different styles of predicaments taught by the queen of fun assholery herself: Sophia Rose. \nPart I: Playful Predicaments (September 29th\, 2026\, 7-10pm)\nPlayful predicaments are designed to keep one guessing (and choosing) in frustratingly fun ways. Using rope and other kinky tools\, simple concepts of predicament play will be explained and demonstrated along with more complex scenarios to inspire your own creativity as well as exploring predicaments that focus on pain or discomfort\, we will also look at ideas which play with exposure\, balance\, and pleasure – predicaments for different moods. \nPart II: WTF was that: (not so) playful predicaments… (October 22nd\, 2026\, 7-10pm)\nReady to take predicament play to the next level? This session moves beyond playful discomfort to explore the more bizarre\, creative\, and the downright “WTF is that?!”. We’ll explore the risks\, rewards\, and thrill of edgier predicament play\, with three demonstrations for inspiration and adaptation that utilise a suspension point and dungeon furniture. \nWhat we’ll cover:\n– Exploring and creating more intense\, edge-play predicaments (breath control/choking).\n– Demonstrations of bamboo on the body ties\, and fear/pain dynamics.\n– How to safely adapt challenging ideas to suit your skills and partners.
