SUMMARY:Polylicious - An Open Relationship Toolkit
DESCRIPTION:Opening up relationships can bring up a lot of emotions\, it can be challenging and chaotic at times but also exciting. It is a great opportunity to become aware of what we appreciate and what we would like to change in our existing relationships. This two part series is designed for people who would like to start or are in the middle of starting to open up a relationship. Our main focus will be on shaping the change and navigating new beginnings.\nPart I\, May 7th\, 7-9pm: Basics\nThe first part will mainly focus on the basics of open and polyamorous relationships such as dealing with complex emotions (like jealousy)\, coming up with good and meaningful agreements\, finding a bit more clarity around needs and boundaries\, putting theory into practice and finding a bit more clarity around why we are interested in opening up relationships.\n\nPart II\, May 14th\, 7-9pm: Common Mistakes\n\nThe second part will focus on common open relationship mistakes and how to avoid them. Navigating exciting new energy\, like dating new people\, having sexual interactions with more then one person\, falling in love with new people\, etc. can be challenging and there is a lot to consider at the same time. This last part will put an emphasize on common pitfalls.\nThe combination of both parts aim to provide you with:\n\n\na better understanding about your own needs and wishes around open relationships\na solid basis to start exploring open relationships\, not only in theory but also in practice\nhelpful examples on how agreements and setting up the frame for open relationships can look like\nexamples on common mistakes and how you can use that knowledge\nlots of exercises which you can do either on your own and/or share in the group. There will also be space for exchange in small groups\nspace for your concerns and questions

SUMMARY:Showing Up: Skills for Facing Conflict
DESCRIPTION:We all have conflicts. With ourselves\, with our loved ones and our collaborators\, as well as social and political ones. We often perceive the very concept of conflict as negative\, and we are not often taught methods to face it. However\, it can also be an opportunity to get to know ourselves and others while finding out what needs to be witnessed\, improved\, or transformed. It is a call to show up for ourselves\, our loved ones and our community. \nIn this workshop\, Emilian and Barbara invite you to practice essential skills to face conflict\, one step at a time. The first step is to listen to ourselves. The second\, to listen to others. And finally\, to share our truth while showing care and respect for everybody involved. \nWhat we will do:\n\n\nGround ourselves when we feel triggered\, overwhelmed or numb \n\n\nIdentify and witness what you feel and need \n\n\nUse active listening in order to understand where others are coming from \n\n\nExpress yourself truthfully and mindfully during conflict \n\n\nThis class is for anyone who wants to:\n\n\nApproach conflict differently \n\n\nPractice being in touch with their emotions \n\n\nImprove their capacity to be gentle with themselves \n\n\nLearn new communication techniques \n\n\nUse these skills to strengthen community and relationships in their lives

SUMMARY:Unfuck Your Online Dating
DESCRIPTION:Ready to get (back) out there but feeling stuck\, frustrated\, or overwhelmed by online dating? Unfuck Your Online Dating is a practical\, reflective workshop designed to help you cut through the noise and create dating profiles that actually reflect who you are and what you’re looking for. \nIn this workshop\, Ceci will guide you through the process of clarifying your intentions and translating them into words and images that feel authentic\, aligned\, and inviting. Rather than chasing algorithms or generic advice\, we’ll focus on self-knowledge\, values\, and communication\, so your profile works for you\, not against you. \nOr maybe\, in the end\, you end up saying “fuck online dating”. Either way\, this is a journey into yourself. \nThis is a hands-on session with a strong emphasis on: \n\nIndividual writing and reflection\nIdentifying your priorities and non-negotiables\nUnderstanding what you want to invite in (and what you don’t)\nSharing ideas and offering support to each other\n\nTogether\, we’ll explore questions such as: \n\nWho am I really\, and what matters to me?\nWhat are my values and relationship needs?\nWhat kind of person or people belong in my life right now?\nWhat questions do I need answered before investing time and energy in a relationship?\n\nYou’ll leave with greater clarity\, concrete profile drafts or revisions\, and a better sense of how to approach online dating with confidence and intention. Whether you’re brand new to dating apps or returning after a break\, this workshop is about alignment over performance\, making online dating feel a little less fucked and a lot more you.

SUMMARY:Love is More than Romance
DESCRIPTION:Caritia is offering this guided discussion and workshop based on a poem written for CARNE – a group piece performed with Gruppo Oito in 2024. The poem speaks to and of the intersectional nature of love as an action\, inspired by Bell Hooks. \n“The word ‘love’ is most often defined as a noun\, yet we would all love better if we used it as a verb\,” – bell hooks \nParticipants are invited to join this discourse on what love is for you. The many ways in which it can be expressed and (re)discovering intentional ways to allow all kinds of love into our lives as an act of revolution\, resistance and care. \nPull up a chair\, lay in your bed or create yourself a nest\, let’s commune together.

SUMMARY:Open Hearts\, Open Minds: Exploring "Alternative" Relationship Structures
DESCRIPTION:Modern romance dictates that a single individual should fulfill all of our needs – from sharing joys and fears\, co-parenting and financial commitments\, to sexual happiness\, identity confirmation\, and spiritual fulfillment. Is this fair? \nWe will look into what relationships give us\, then explore a wide variety of relationship structures that are being employed to have people fill all of their needs. Monogamy and serial monogamy are valid options\, but what about polyamory\, swinging\, pre-arranged trysts\, friends with benefits\, or choosing to be our own life partner? \nWhat We Will Do\nHow do we communicate in our relationships to make whatever structure we choose actually work\, and we’ll look into issues like jealousy vs. envy\, new relationship energy\, and making each of our friends and partners feel like the unique person they are in our lives. \n

SUMMARY:Fix Your Fighting: Communication Tools for Hard Topics
DESCRIPTION:Let’s be real: most of us weren’t taught how to fight well. We either explode\, shut down\, or dance around the truth until resentment builds. When conversations get hard\, so many of us fall into the same traps — defensiveness\, blame\, avoidance\, people-pleasing. But conflict doesn’t have to be a disaster. It can be a doorway. \nIn this workshop\, Ceci invites you to unlearn the toxic communication patterns that keep you stuck\, and replace them with tools that actually work. Not to keep the peace\, but to speak truth\, stay human\, and grow through conflict. \nYou’ll explore:\n\n\nHow to start the hard conversations you’ve been avoiding — and how to listen when someone else needs to express \n\n\nWhat to do (and not do) when emotions are high \n\n\nHow to recognize and shift the patterns that keep you locked in loops \n\n\nHow to stay in empathy without abandoning yourself \n\n\nWhy conflict is not the enemy\, it’s an opportunity for clarity\, healing\, and deeper connection \n\n\nIf you’re tired of conversations that go nowhere\, or fights that leave you wrecked\, come get some tools to do it differently. This is a space for honesty\, courage\, and trying things a new way.

SUMMARY:Self-Love Is Not Enough: Building a Relationship With Yourself
DESCRIPTION:No two relationships with our Self is the same\, so why should yours look like anyone else’s? Let’s work beyond the statements that say “just love yourself” to figure out how to relate to yourself and help you thrive. \nWhether you’re struggling with isolation\, dealing with loss\, or want to delve deeper into what makes you “you\,” many people say the key is to develop self-love. This is so important… but you need to build a relationship with the person in the mirror. Whether you need to become your own friend\, your own partner\, your own co-worker\, your own lover\, or something else entirely\, this is your chance to find the life balance that serves you. \nBy doing so\, you can also build more fulfilling relationships with others and find support in community. \nNote: This class centers individuals with diverse mental health realities. \nWhat we will teach/do\nIn this class we will get the opportunity to see the wide array of relationships we have with ourselves and work together to brainstorm other ideas to be inspired outside of an assumed lens informed by capitalist tropes. Let’s create a space where we are not alone in this work as well\, because you don’t have to do the work of self-love in self-isolation. We will… \n\nExamine the array of types of relationships individuals have with themselves and choose one or two that you want to move towards or support\nConsider the descriptors of the ways those relationships manifest in your life and determine how to move in that direction\nTease apart the differences between self-love\, self-care\, and toxic positivity\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Navigating Apologies
DESCRIPTION:Apologizing is something that all of us are very familiar with\, weather we like it or not. It is an essential part of how we sustain relationships and practice consensual and meaningful connections. \n\n\n\nIt plays a role in every relationships\, where many of us need to unlearn hetero- and mononormative norms and in this process of unlearning we come across lots of obstacles and trials&errors. Apologizing becomes a central figure in practicing sustainable relationships.  \n\n\n\nWhat We Will Do in this Workshop\n\n\n\nYaniv would like to invite the participants for a little deep dive into what it means to apologize in an accountable and responsible way by looking into a helpful definition of the term accountablity.  \n\n\n\nWe will talk about the different elements of a good apology\, define each participants responsibility and role. It can be difficult to look into apologizing from different angles\, because we need to open up towards the reality that each story can have multiple truths. There will be some voluntary exercises that can help in the future when confronted with a difficult and/or hurtful situation that requires to deal with the process of accountability. Each and everyone can explore those on their own. \n\n\n\nDuring that process we will differentiate between accepting\, forgiving and moving forward. And take a close look into what it needs to be able to gain some clarity on where we stand during that process. \n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Should I Stay or Should I Go?
DESCRIPTION:Whether or not to end a relationship is sometimes one of the most difficult decisions in life. No one can make that decision for you\, but there are factors we can look at to make it easier. Whether or not to end a relationship is sometimes one of the most difficult decisions in life. No one can make that decision for you\, but there are factors we can look at to make it easier. How do we feel around people who bring us joy\, lift us up and support us to become the person we want to be? How do we feel differently towards relationships that do the exact opposite of that? How do we idenfity essential needs that we have in our relationships with others? And what are potential red flags and boundaries we need to explore a bit more in order to decide whether or not to end a relationship?  \n\n\n\nWhat We Will Do in this Workshop\n\n\n\nYaniv will guide you through different perspectives and possible ways to look at a break up and let’s gain some clarity about your own needs. Besides compatibility\, fighting patterns and general dynamics that make a long lasting\, sustainable relationship\, we want to explore the potential beauty of a breakup. \n\n\n\n
