DESCRIPTION:In this session\, we’ll read bondage and restraint as sexual practices within the context of BDSM against a broader history of restraint. Turning towards the anti-psychiatric work of Franco Basaglia and the ubiquity of physical restraint as a tool of the medical establishment and carceral state\, we’ll start to contend with what it means to take up and play with forms and techniques implicated in an almost unimaginable amount of violence and harm. We’ll ask: what logics of restraint in medical and carceral contexts end up reproduced in kink and sex-positive communities? How does the broader social and political practice of restraint shape who our spaces are accessible to and how? What are the impacts of legislation that criminalizes voluntary restraint? How do we take restraint more seriously?  \nAbout this series\nKink is Political is an online discussion with Addie Tahl\, Georg Barkas\, Andrea Rimon\, and occasional special guests. Participants are invited to join a discussion during which we unite critique with an emphasis on the practical and day-to-day issues and challenges of kink\, intimacy\, and relationships. \nFocusing on concepts central to BDSM\, leather\, rope\, and sex-positive communities\, it interrogates widely adopted approaches and commonly held notions. It aims to understand the politics of kink beyond the language of sexual liberation and politics of sexual liberalism\, both frames that have proven insufficient in addressing widespread harm\, a rising international tide of sex-negativity and reaction\, or in guaranteeing that the most marginalized can sexually flourish. \nKink is Political is an examination of the contexts and consequences of how we talk about and understand gender and sexuality. SUMMARY:Kink is Political - Gossip
DESCRIPTION:Gossip\, we are told\, is something immensely corrosive. It tears groups apart. It presents a special danger to anyone involved in anything stigmatized or illegal. At the same time\, gossip is held up as one of the best ways to keep ourselves safe\, a recourse and resource for the marginalized to navigate danger and harm they can’t afford to confront head on. Whether or not gossip is a net good or evil\, there is one thing that’s clear: it is a common fixture of BDSM and sex-positive communities. In this session\, we’ll talk about how gossip circulates differently in different contexts. How can we think about gossip in a more granular way? What are its different circuits\, and how do they interact with different populations differently? What are the affordances of calling and calling out? What does it mean to choose to engage in something other than public\, formal complaint? How do we use gossip to shape both our who we are and the communities we belong to?  \nAbout this series\nKink is Political is an online discussion with Addie Tahl\, Georg Barkas\, Andrea Rimon\, and occasional special guests. Participants are invited to join a discussion during which we unite critique with an emphasis on the practical and day-to-day issues and challenges of kink\, intimacy\, and relationships. \nFocusing on concepts central to BDSM\, leather\, rope\, and sex-positive communities\, it interrogates widely adopted approaches and commonly held notions. It aims to understand the politics of kink beyond the language of sexual liberation and politics of sexual liberalism\, both frames that have proven insufficient in addressing widespread harm\, a rising international tide of sex-negativity and reaction\, or in guaranteeing that the most marginalized can sexually flourish. \nKink is Political is an examination of the contexts and consequences of how we talk about and understand gender and sexuality. It is a forum to think about how kink spaces and practices operate\, what works\, what doesn’t\, and what we can use to build something better.

DESCRIPTION:Curious to dip your toes into BDSM but not sure where to start? Join the Pleasure Playground – a hands-on buffet of beginner friendly kink experiences. \nIn this playful\, low-pressure workshop\, you’ll get a guided introduction to a variety of consent-centered kink concepts in a supportive and queer environment. Rather than going deep into any one practice\, we’ll focus on sampling\, curiosity\, and choice. You can explore what sparks interest and what doesn’t\, without judgment or expectation. \nYou can expect:\n\nClear grounding in consent\, communication\, boundaries\, and aftercare\nShort exercises and lots of information that explore power dynamics\, pain play\, and bondage at an introductory level\nEmphasis on safety\, agency\, and respecting your own pace\n\nThis is a learning playground designed to help demystify kink\, reduce intimidation\, and give you language and confidence to explore further. \nOpen to queer folks who are new or kink-curious. No prior experience needed. Come solo or with friends. You will pair or group up with multiple people throughout the workshop\, and there will always be time to negotiate explorations. Some exercises are done solo. All activities are optional\, and opting out is always celebrated. Pleasure Playground is about exploration\, not expectation.

DESCRIPTION:Let’s slow down queerdos\, and feel ourselves & our bodies in all our multidimensional glory. \nLittle Purrrverts – Slow Pleasure Fest is a three-day gathering that is all about queer people coming together to slow down and feel themselves and their bodies in all their multidimensional glory. Highly skilled facilitators will offer a myriad of workshops and open spaces to enjoy learning and experiencing the pleasures of gender\, sexuality\, embodiment\, kink\, bodywork\, and breathwork in a slow\, intentional\, and sensual manner. \nJoin us and feel yourself and others while hanging out in our new space. We have multiple rooms and a huge 100 sqm garden at our disposal to just be luscious\, slow\, and sensual. Purrr! \nProgram\nTBA \nDetails\n-3-day fest\, over 20 facilitated spaces/workshops\, spaces to do bodywork\, cuddles\, be sensual or just hang out\n-multiple rooms\,  a dedicated space for introverts and people with neurodivergence to retreat\, hang out spaces\, kitchen\, bathrooms\, a garden\, Berlin in the summer\n-LGBTQIA+ people\, only\n-highly skilled facilitators will guide you\, share knowledge\, and hold space for you\n-kink\, sexuality\, gender\, sensuality\, consent\, bodywork\, breathwork\, sound work\, touch\, play\, food nom nom\n-we take it sloooooow\, there is lots of space to just chill\n-we have limited space for people to sleep over for a small extra fee (please book accommodation IMMEDIATELY\, we cannot take request for it after booking)\n-we offer breakfast\, lunch\, and snacks all day for a small extra fee (perfect if you don’t want to leave the bubble and just be luscious all day)\n-free water\, tea\, ice for everyone\, there might be cookies and popsicles\n-we aim to make the space accessible for all kinds of bodies\, the house is wheelchair accessible for the most part\, if you need other accommodation\, please let us know and we will make it happen \nFacilitators\ntba \nPricing Accessibility\n180-220 Euros per person for the entire fest (does not include food/accommodation).
