DESCRIPTION:Welcome to LOCKER TALK – A Somatic Workshop for Processing Trans Embodiment in Public Space\, hosted and facilitated by Eddy Entropy and Fleshpiece  \n\n\n\nOur work revolves around how we continue to create a home in our own skin\, and how we are cultivating a caring connection with each other\, across differently embodied trans experiences. \n\n\n\nWhy LOCKER TALK?\n\n\n\nThe locker room has historically been a place of transactional exclusivity where cis-men conduct business in secret to preserve power and control. We would like you to join us as we infiltrate this metaphorical space to host a “locker talk”. What can we envision in queering this architecture together? What have we embodied in the past and present in these spaces like pools\, gyms\, saunas\, and beaches – spaces where trans bodies often come into scrutiny? What will be our future in these spaces? Our nudity can be freedom and allow us to access our own power and vulnerability. Let’s explore this together.  \n\n\n\nAt LOCKER TALK\, we invite trans\, enby\, questioning folks – and their friends\, lovers\, and allies – to join us in this work. We will process the unique struggles and joys that we as trans folks face in maintaining safety\, dignity\, ownership\, and ecstasy in our bodies through public spaces. When we process this with our bodies and unpack these experiences\, we begin to see how our bodies bridging access and autonomy for all bodies.  \n\n\n\nWe will facilitate this in two phases:  \n\n\n\nPhase One: Bodytalk! \n\n\n\nLet’s stretch and get sweaty together – taking time to get active in the flesh and get comfortable in our skin. Bring some comfy layers\, get ready to move\, breathe\, and unleash our layers! DESCRIPTION:Dive into a transformative journey of movement and creativity with renowned butoh artist Ken Mai and our own rope expert Ceci Ferox. Explore the powerful connection between butoh and shibari\, unlocking new forms of expression\, liberation\, and metamorphosis. Prepare to be led on a journey of research into meetings between the two art forms\, Japanese culture\, philosophy\, and beyond. \nThis workshop explores the relationship between the metamorphosis of the body through images and ropes\, as well as restriction and liberation in various ways. It attempts to cultivate creativity based on experimental experiences. Rope is used as a source of expression\, and materiality that inspires movement. \nKen Mai and Ceci will lead you through exercises\, experiments\, and scores that aim to create new possibilities for your expression. We will carry out mind and body purification and energy circulation exercises to activate images and creativity. \nYou don’t need any previous butoh or rope experience\, but we want to especially welcome people with experience in one of these forms of expression to create an interesting meeting of worlds. The evening consists of a two part butoh performance by Ken Mai\, exhibition opening talk by Renée De Sans\, and free mingling while viewing the art. \nParticipants of the Ken Mai – Metamorphosis workshop have free entry. \nEmpty Rope –Photography Exhibition by Renée de Sans\nIn Empty Rope\, Renée de Sans explores Shibari by separating its two essential elements: the rope and the human body. Though inherently intertwined in this practice\, they are presented apart – uncovering new meanings and tensions through their disconnection. \nThe exhibition consists of two photographic series. The first captures Shibari patterns shaped into sculptural forms\, floating without a body. Empty ropes emphasizing the craft and geometry of the technique\, an object of design and intention. \nThe second series portrays bodies marked by the rope – traces of pressure\, memory\, and sensation – yet free from the ropes themselves. Shaped by past restraints\, these bodies evoke the emotional depth of rope bondage beyond its physical presence. \nThrough this contrast\, Empty Rope questions how much soul remains in a rope no longer tied to skin\, and how much emotion a body can carry when liberated from its bonds but still echoing their form. A reflection on the delicate balance between presence and absence\, control and release. \nRestriction Liberation – Performance by Ken Mai\, assisted by Ceci Ferox and Renée de Sans\, music by Ghost Acres\nIn dialogue with the photographic works of Empty Rope\, this two-part performance by renowned Butoh artist Ken Mai delves into the unseen forces of control and the paradox of liberation through bondage. Moving through states of stillness and intensity\, vulnerability and resistance\, Ken Mai explores the residue of restraint — how the body remembers control\, even when the restraints are gone. \nThe first part is an exploration of invisible boundaries: bodies moving within imagined constraints\, shaped by memory and internalized limits. The absence of rope becomes its own tension\, invoking the question—can we be restrained without visible bonds? \nThe second part turns toward transformation and release. With fluid motion and ritualized gesture\, Ken Mai embraces the rope not as confinement\, but as a tool for liberation. What once restrained now becomes a source of joy\, support\, and expressive freedom. \nRestriction Liberation is not just a performance—it is a living echo of the exhibition’s central themes. It embodies the delicate interplay between presence and absence\, pain and beauty\, surrender and selfhood.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for an intimate salon-style evening with Murasaki Haruan\, centered around the practice of Renbaku – a unique approach to tying in which multiple riggers engage with a single person in ropes in sequence\, allowing emotional and energetic shifts to unfold. \nThis evening is not a traditional performance\, but rather a space for quiet observation\, reflection\, and learning. Murasaki will guide the experience\, either by taking part in the tying or offering live commentary as dynamics develop. Each session may explore how presence\, breath\, and subtle decisions in rope bondage shape the shared experience. \nThe evening will feature two tying sessions\, each lasting approximately 30–40 minutes\, with a short break and group reflection between them. Whether through quiet intensity or gentle connection\, this event offers a rare opportunity to witness and reflect on the depth of interactions that rope bondage can evoke. \nPrivate Lessons with Murasaki\nMurasaki Haruan will be with us in Berlin for two consecutive weekends. The first weekend (August 16–17\, 2025) will be a foundational Yukimura-ryu workshop. The second weekend (August 23-24\, 2025) will be a Masterclass including renbaku teachings. She will also host a renbaku salon (August 15) and offer private sessions at Karada House between the two weekends.
