Jolene Jean Zubrow (she/her)

Jolene Jean Zubrow (she/her) is a PhD student in the philosophy department at the University of Memphis. Her research is guided by questions such as: What are the technologies and practices which we use to do things with the body? What problems inform are these practices and technologies deployed to address, and how? What is the ethical import of the answers to either of these questions, and what horizons do they promise towards building a more just world? To answer these questions, she has turned primarily to the philosophers commonly grouped under the moniker of “post-structuralist,” although she also finds great value in their early modern-era precursors, and in recent social, political, queer, and trans philosophy. She can be contacted at jjzubrow@memphis.edu.
