Event Details

An unconference is the mother of all skill share events and Karada House invites you to our queer & womxn’s edition. A whole weekend long (or only one day, if you like), we will gather and share skills and knowledge, arts and interests. Join us!

What exactly is a Queer Unconference?

An unconference is an event aimed at exchange of knowledge without a set agenda or presenters. The agenda is made by the attendees in a joint effort and remains flexible throughout the event. Everyone is an active participant and on eyes level.

There are four rules and one law for an unconference:

Rule #1: Whoever shows up are the right people
Rule #2: Whatever happens is fine (in kinky context this has to be consensual obviously!)
Rule #3: Whenever it starts is the right time
Rule #4: It is over when it’s over

Law: The Law of the two feet:

Everyone at an unconference is encouraged to practice the law of two feet. The law of two feet says that if you become uninterested at any point, you are encouraged to leave and join another session. In an unconference you are also invited to take breaks at any time, with the idea that it is sometimes in the breaks that the ‘A-ha’ moments arrive.

What to bring:

Everyone is required to bring a dish/some food that we can all share during the day.

Yourself and your knowledge, curiosity, comfortable clothes, all the toys you want or need for giving a workshop or having fun at the play area in the evening. The point of an unconference is to generate workshops out of the curiosity and knowledge of participants, so all we ask of you is to actually and actively participate. Also please bring your self-awareness. Give and take, baby.
